The hotel had a nice vibe. Rooftop bar was nice as well as patio restaurant. The room was average, only because my mattress seemed old. Valet parking is $70/day but you can save about $60 if you park it yourself and use Uber/Lyft. It's even walkable to restaurants, monuments and museums.

Area was great and hotel was beautiful. Definitely try the spa services. They are top notch. If you don’t make reservations you will never get into the rooftop bar. And it was disappointing that they didn’t have room service after 9pm. Morning room service did not offer mimosas or bloody Mary’s. Other than those minor details. Our stay was fantastic.

Staff was good hotel was great but at this price point I expected better service from the employees. I like the fact that you can use the spa even though you do not have a service. But the spa is not as good as compared to other high end hotels. It is smaller with less amenities. The staff at the spa were excellent though.

Overall the Hotel was great! Location wise was ideal and the rooftop was amazing with awesome views! My only complaint is the price of the food. Breakfast seemed excessively expensive so i would recommend not eating breakfast at the hotel. I ordered just two dishes with 1 coffee and 1 orange juice and it was like $85!

The rooftop is a club at night, which creates a complete disaster in the lobby and with the elevators if you are actually staying in the hotel. You can't walk directly to the hotel or even enjoy the lobby as it is completely packed with people going to and from the club. And you can hear the music all throughout the hotel - all night.

Never again. I booked this hotel for the convenience because I had an event to attend. The hotel is filthy. A guest spilled food in the elevator and it still hadn’t been cleaned upon checkout 3 days later. Towels were old and there were gnats everywhere at the bar. I couldn’t enjoy my drink. The beds are comfortable and the housekeeping staff are lovely! I won’t be back because the price certainly isn’t justifiable!

Central to everything, very walkable city straight from the door. Big Bus stop right outside, pleasant staff, room cleaned daily and supplies topped up , free bottled water. Metro central station close by. Cheap and easy and safe to use just tap in and out with credit card. Walgreens a couple of blocks away, also Mac Donald’s and sandwich shops for cheap eats, more expensive restaurants locally, plenty of choice. Walk round the floodlight monuments at night. Felt very safe areas . Only a few hundred yards from White House and Washington Monument. Arlington excellent to visit. Metro straight to Arlington blue line towards Springfield. Bed and pillows really comfy, coffe machine but no electric kettle. Iron and ironing board, hairdryer provided. Recommend hotel and would stay again

The lobby looked nice and elegant, but upon arrival to my room I found used dirty towels in one of the closet cubbies. The furniture in the room was also extremely dusty in addition to beverage rings on the glass. If I had not known prior I would have never guessed this was a five star establishment.

This trendy upscale hotel is worth the money just for the location and the comfortable beds which are clutch after walking around the city all day. Everyone I interacted with was so kind and helpful throughout the entire stay. They were kind enough to let me know that my original room on the 9th floor might be a bit noisy with the bar upstairs, so I switched to a room on the 4th floor - inner facing - and got a great nights sleep. The rooms are European sized so more than 2 people would be tricky, but enough space to unpack and stretch your legs. The shower is a frosted glass so it is a bit of a shadow show so make sure you’re comfortable with your travel partner. They provide water every day and the breakfast is excellent. There are also lots of restaurants nearby for dining in or take out and they run the gamut for pricing. The only thing that I can note of improvement is that there was jam or jelly on the tv remote when I checked in. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others though!

It was my first time in DC in so long. The hotel that we picked was a pretty good place to look around and shop. The hotel it self was beautiful and the staff were excellent! For a two night stay, I was expecting it to be more cleanly. I found some hair in the shower when I used it and there were stains on the extra bed/pullout couch that was there. I just wished that it was presentable when I came. Other than that, my sister and I had a great time at the hotel. Checking in and checking out was pretty smooth thanks to the efficient staff!

The room we were in was so small it hardly fit the two queen beds. We were in DC for 5 days; there was no room to store our clothes. No closet. The coffee maker didn't work. Room service seldom left the appropriate coffee pods. They were skimpy on towel provisions and bath amenities. We are a married couple in our mid-seventies & small people. The shower was so small and dangerously slick I was concerned that one of us might fall and break a bone! There were no safety bars at all. The potty was only about 18" tall and set in a very small confining corner. Overall the room was not worth the money. The location was a great place for tourists, is all I can say positively.

Beautiful hotel. Very clean. All staff were beyond kind and accommodating. I absolutley hate Nespresso and the first machine in my room was broken. House keeping swapped it out for a new one, which worked, but it would have been better if it were a regular coffee pot. Room service coffee is $19 for a pot that gives you 3 small cups. It is what it is and not a deal breaker. Room was small but very well kept. Only two small complaints were the king bed has seen better days, there are indents showing where people have slept over the years and broken down the mattress. It wasnt very comfortable. Other complaint is that I was on the 10th floor and on the weekend nights the music and base from the bar above was very noticeable. Luckily I was still able to fall asleep after a bit, having had a few cocktails at said bar. But someone who is a light sleeper may be irritated. Nice hotel, just wanted to explain why I gave 4 stars overall and not 5 stars.

The rooms are tiny. The bed was average at best. There was no clicker in the room for TV.. I got stuck in one of the elevatora which it seemed like they knew wasnt working. . The rooftop bar is very lpud so if your room is near by expect noise until 2am. The roof top bar has beautiful views id recommend going to the bar/restaurant and staying somewhere else!

I was disappointed with the lack of communication during check-in. I arrived at 2:58 PM and was told my room wasn’t ready, which I understood since check-in was at 4 PM. I returned promptly at 4, expecting my room to be available, but was told by a front desk agent that it still wasn’t ready. She said she would contact housekeeping and update me, but no follow-up ever came — despite me explaining I had an important meeting to prepare for. I waited patiently in the lobby for over an hour, watching other guests check in and receive their room keys immediately. Eventually, I approached a different staff member, Brandon, who checked me in right away and was extremely apologetic. He remained helpful and professional throughout the rest of my stay. What disappointed me most was the lack of acknowledgment or apology from the original agent — she walked past me later without a word. It was clear we had been forgotten. Brandon’s excellent customer service was the saving grace of this experience. Without his help, my overall impression of the stay would have been very negative. However, due to the check-in delay and the impact it had on my schedule, I’m unsure if I’d return. Communication and accountability are critical in hospitality, and unfortunately, those were lacking at a crucial moment.

We had a very smooth check-in experience. My wife and I were traveling with two teenagers, and although our originally requested room with two queen beds was unavailable, Mary at the front desk was incredibly helpful. She went above and beyond to accommodate us by providing a complimentary additional room, ensuring the kids had a comfortable place to sleep. She was also exceptionally kind and took the time to explain everything clearly. The rooms are on the smaller side but thoughtfully designed and well-appointed. We loved the central location which was the primary factor in choosing Hotel Washington, but we'd also visited Vue Rooftop during a previous trip which was another consideration. We were impressed with the hotel from the moment we checked in: The staff were outstanding, friendly, and very accommodating! We enjoyed all of their onsite dining facilities, and the quality of the food and beverages was top notch. It is the perfect place to stay in Washington D.C.

SO. This property is amazing, but it may not be worth the price tag, unless you get an incredible deal via Expedia or something. The property is beautiful and easy to locate, and an easy walk from the Metro rail line that goes to/from the airport. Check-in was a breeze and staff were all so kind and sweet (there is valet parking available if that’s your style). Rooms are very clean, beds are comfy, and the shower was hot- all good things, the sinks are small though. Housekeeping was great, came everyday, all was well. BUT. Be aware, this is a large, and popular hotel. So there’s convention rooms, space for weddings, etc. which means late night partying and loud neighbors, which may not be best for families, or what some people are looking for. And because this is a large convention-center style hotel, it’s a tourist trap. Nothing is included, food and drinks were mediocre, and my Manhattan cocktail was $42. Yep. $42 and that’s not even with top-shelf liquor. So if you stay there, my recommendation is to be prepared to leave the property/the area to get out of tourist-town and crazy tourist prices. Other than that, great hotel, great experience, everyone was very kind.

I ordered a cappuccino which I had to leave untouched.The açai bawl was like chocolate soup. For the prices charged, we should expect the food to be at least digestible.

It was just a one night stay in DC for dinner at Joe's Seafood and brunch at Old Ebbitt's. The girlfriend had stayed at THW previously and said we should try it again. Glad we did! The Hotels.com rate was the cheapest we found, even cheaper than the hotel's website. The Standard King was perfect for just one night. Check-in and out were quick. Valet was prompt. My only shock was the tab at the rooftop VUE restaurant for two dirty Martinis and two Cosmos: $121! I've dine at fine places around the world and have never been charged that much for cocktails. Yes, you're paying for the view, but that's outrageous.
