We stayed here before and so knew what to expect. We missed out on a few things last time as didn’t realise it was included in the room price. If you book and executive room you get access to the executive lounge. Now this is a small area reserved for executive members it includes free nibbles biscuits,fruit during most of the day but it also includes free alcoholic drinks and canapés between 5 and 7pm. This is so nice helping yourself to spirits wine beer and even Prosecco( soft drinks tea and coffee) while having a relaxing view of the city. Staff were lovely room was a little bashed around but on the 21 floor with an amazing view across the city we weren’t complaining. Really lovely hotel if you wasn’t to treat yourself.

The hotel and public areas are prestine and give a great first impression. When we got to our room 503 i was really disappointed although the bathroom was modern and lovely to use. We paid £180 for this room so by no means a 'cheap option' it felt like a premier inn standard which we could have got for half the money. Also the cooked breakfast was so dry as everything had been left out too long. When we checked out we went to the car park to find our car had been boxed in by some idiot motorist who parked along a double yellow line section. Reception tried to sort quickly. But as they didnt have that reg on the system they had to contact the owner of the car next to us to move theirs. Luckily they were at the hotel when all this happened.

Quite expensive, but the location is perfect for walking into town, and easy from the train station. Parking at £25 a day feels a little pricey. Overall great quality, comfortable rooms and breakfast very good too.

Surprised to find out at the hotel a cost of £25 for car parking. This is twice the amount that is typical at most other hotels. Information not available in advance so had no other option but to pay it. The rooms and communal areas are looking very tired and in need of some painting. Our room had no pictures on the wall and felt very blank and soulless. The carpet had not been hoovered properly before our visit.

Panoramic view it was not there was a great big pillar in the way. Staff in some area lack lustre and to top it off the lift was broken the following day so only one available, a long trip down 18 flights. It could be so much better than it is. Great location and bar area and reception clean and tidy. Room, poor for price and staff very flat and clinical

Booked an executive room which surprisingly came with access to executive lounge which was a surprise. This included free drinks and canapés between 5-7 . This was really nice. Room was on 16 th floor which had amazing views. Air conditioning was a bit noisy but room was lovely and clean with great free amenities all in all a really lovely hotel would definitely stay again

Stayed one night for school prom, entered room and room not hoovered and silk headboard had greasy head marks all over it , really dirty, complained at reception and asked her to come and loo at room and take photos. She apologized for the condition of the room and moved us.I got ready for our pupils school prom ,food as not monitored and nothing left for a number of staff.Ordered room service then as had just some chips,awful.I must say I have stayed in many hotels and this one really shocked me on cleanliness and quality of food.

Room in a delapidated state, curtain hanging off the hooks, very dirty armchair . Room was really cold when we arrived, called reception to have heating switched on . Was told that it’s centrally controlled … really , who is deciding how warm my room will be. Hallway dirty from when we arrived until 2 days later, obviously housekeeping not up to scratch , found dirty sock under chair .. won’t return!

No hairdryer, iron, ironing board or luggage rack in room. Filthy stained carpet. Dust everywhere. “Leather” coated bedroom furniture scratched and dirty. Brown stain in one coffee cup that came off when washed. Room and corridor on 7th floor stank. Soundproofing nonexistent. At check out nobody asked how our stay was, probably because they knew they put us in a horrible room. Avoid this hotel at all costs. Only good thing - the lift is fast.

I booked a over night stay for valentines and when we checked into our room they give us two single beds when I picked a king size bed, so I went down to reception to explain what’s happened and they said did you put it in the comments that you wanted a king size bed and I said no as their was two options which was two single beds or one king size bed and I chose the king size bed, they explained to me then that they had no king size beds available and that they could put the two single beds together which I done myself, they then said someone would come later on to put the beds together which was no point as I wanted the bed which I paid for anyways someone then turned up to our room at 9pm asking if we wanted the beds together and k time them I’ve done it myself now and they said was their anything else we needed more and I told them no, the fact is I paid for a king size bed room to find out when checking it in was two single beds,not very good I should of got what I paid for

The room was lovely, a little disappointed when waking in the morning to see we had a side view of the city, not full view as expected and advertised. Also- the door between rooms is definitely not sound proof! Empty Beer bottles were left in the corridor for 24hours (from another room). Breakfast was good.

Experience at hotel was lovely. It was just for an overnight stay. Lovely location close to city centre for shops, stadium and train station. Start with checkin which was very easy. Breakfast was lovely. Overall the room are ok and very basic. They could do with a lot more furniture and update decor. Bathroom are very nice. Bad points are rooms are not good soundproofing. We could hear club music from outside until 2am. You would expect for hotel to have double proofing or something. Also housekeeping using guest lifts are a bit bizarre for a hotel. Not sure if their lift was maybe broken. Nothing that would ruin your stay so overall a lovely hotel that is very convenient

Reception staff were a delight. Room was warm and commfortable, as always. We ate in the restaurant on the first evening, that wasnt as we had hoped. We ordered a starter and a light bite. The starter came after the main course, in fits and starts !!.. One of teh starters was cold, one was overcooked and dry and one arrived 15 minutes after we had finished everything else. In addition, one of the waiting on staff had some personal hygiene issues which were quite off putting, when serving food at the table. Probably not the best experience in all honesty. Will stay there again though.

Good hotel and staff. The only thing negative was room service . Ordered 3 meals and 3 drinks, phone call straight away to say one meal not available so ordered a different meal. Over an hour later, only 2 meals delivered and no drinks. No solution offered apart from can bring 3rd meal in an hour, no offer for drinks to be brought up or any solution. Liam offered free breakfast for the next morning, but as already paid for this, it wasn’t an option. Ruined the experience and the image I had of the hotel

Standard room reasonable facilities. However, started on the wrong note when we arrived just after 2pm, were told our room was ready but if we wanted to check in there would be a £10 extra charge. Why? It didn’t cost the hotel anything to allow us to check in at that time as room was already ready. Put us off straight away before we even got into the room.

Hotel is well situated for most things in Cardiff. Good service. Very nice breakfast. Not so good was that the Bedroom headboard and sheets were not clean. The dinner menu was limited. Hotel parking slightly expensive.
