Parking is hard to find late at night. The only major issue we had with the place was the floors are old and have weak spots. My wife wore heals to the theater on Saturday night and ended up that her heel went through the wooden floors once we got back.

I did not care for all the keypad locks that were on most of the doors. One of the locks the battery died and we were stuck in a hallway which caused me anxiety. All I though of was, what if there was a fire. Apparently, there was another way to get out but we were not notified of that. The room was very dark and musty smelling.

Such a great New Orleans experience. Convenient location for plenty of food options. Super cute and quiet. The pool and hot tube area was a plus.

Loved this property!!!! It was easy to walk to the French Quarter and Frenchman Street. With a quick Uber drive, it was in the perfect location. The room was cute and the property was amazing. There was a cute garden with a pool and a hot tub. I will be back again!!!

The property is quite old and updates have been made. Our room was comfortable and clean. The door to an upper back entrance was supposed to be closed at all times. However, the door would not close tight. Important to know that there are no elevator and the stairs are many.

The listing for the hotel does not explain that there are two buildings across the street from one another. Additionally you receive an email from the hotel telling you to call in to reserve for parking and for early check-in. You do not need to reserve parking because you may end up in a building that's not even near the parking. There is also plenty of street parking. Additionally the first room we were given the AC did not work and the attendant did not know how the AC worked. She also did not proactively suggest that we go to another room instead she took time to try to figure out how to turn the AC on which we already had done so before she came into the room. After we had asked to be switched to another room she did oblige. However at that point it was past the early check-in window. We then had to request for a refund of the early check in fee instead of it being proactively offered to be refunded. The hotel was safe. I liked how it was gated with a code. It was also only a 5 to 10 min uber ride to the french quarter.

Check in went smoothly. The noise level in the hall way and people slamming doors was annoying. The floor of the shower sounded like we were going to fall through it. The toilet was loose so in the middle of the night that was jarring. There is free parking on the street and we used that even though we paid for parking which was down the block and across the street. It was more convenient to park in the street. The “breakfast” consisted of bananas and tiny mandarin oranges and oatmeal bars. I know this is an old building but I don’t think we will be staying again. The room was too small. I’m glad I didn’t pay for a patio since the building next to the hotel was some dilapidated home that should be condemned. Sadly people actually live there.

An amazing value for the rate. A short walk from Frenchman street and the Quarter in one direction, a slightly longer walk the other direction to the amazing NOMA Sculpture garden and St Louis Cemetery 3. Clean, quiet, with a relaxing pool and hot tub out back. Rooms are small but well appointed, and the bed was crazy comfortable.

Beautiful properties but the upkeep was rather minimal. We upgraded to a king suite with balcony. There was a four poster rice bed of which one of the four posters were broken. The glass is left for us to use we're filthy. The entire room was slanted and there was no hot water in the shower. After having owned a Victorian that was 122 years old for 16 years. I understand what's required to upkeep one. The upkeep at this one was rather minimal. The location was wonderful and the staff was very accommodating. The bedding and bathroom were both clean. More attention needs to be paid to the rooms themselves, the furniture, decor and ensure that each unit has hot water.

Creamer and coffee lacked attention. The beds are getting old as we had a hump between us. You have to waste 5 gallons of water before the shower finally heats up. It is tough to navigate schedules and transportation in LA. Overall, the hotel is very old, and we never used maid service, so for the most part, I'll give it a 4-star rate.

Our first experience in New Orleans. We decided on the rathbone for two reasons. 1. It had the authentic feel of New Orleans 2. It had a pool and a hot tub to enjoy To start with the hot tub is just that a hot tub not a Jacuzzi. After spending a full day in New Orleans we come back to our room and my wife's foot went through the floor In the room that we were staying in. They're refunded our money for our stay and we left.This house/Mansion needs many many upgrades and is basically falling apart.

Beautiful property within walking distance to Bourbon street. There are two buildings, both lovely old homes. Our room was very comfortable, with a balcony that we enjoyed tremendously. Bathroom was modern, which is always nice in an older building. The pool and hot tub were not modern, but that’s what made them so great. Thank you Rathbone staff for a perfect stay!

The hotel was a lovely old classic New Orleans house in the French quarter. The room felt a bit run down but it was beautiful and had big wraparound balcony out front. The rooms were a great size and the staff were lovely and helpful. Overall, good value for money.

Room was awesome and nice renovated. Loved the keyless entry and having a code to enter the building and the room made it feel much safer. It was also nice not having to keep up with a room key. Bed was very comfortable and the sheets were clean. There were only 2 towels in the room so if you need more than that, ask for extras.

Very nice check-in lady. Small, but clean and comfortable room. There's a microwave oven, coffee maker and a refrigerator with a freezer. Bourbon street where the action is , is about 10 blocks away. Easy to walk and safe.

Very comfortable and cute. The Rathbone is two lovely old houses across the street from each other. We stayed in a room on the back courtyard. The room was large, with a mini fridge and microwave and one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. It’s an old building, and that shows a bit (hot water ran out one morning), but no deal breakers for us. They put out coffee and modest breakfast items (instant oatmeal, fruit) in the reception room every morning, although not always as early as advertised. Neighborhood around the buildings is urban, but seemed safe, and we walked out to informal dining. Would definitely stay there again.

I’m calling it now - I’ll be staying with Rathbone mansions every time I visit NOLA. Communications were seamless, clear and accommodating. The staff are incredibly friendly, kind and generous - especially as we encountered some issues on our check out day (they really saved us from some challenging travel issues). The rooms are very great - for the value, it’s everything you need and the bed is so so comfortable. And the LOCATION - perfectly situated near all of our destinations, and quiet enough help us get a decent nights sleep. Thank you Rathbone for a fantastic experience, we most certainly WILL be back!!

This is a great option and will be my first choice when visiting this city for leisure. We walked to many of the major sites, and the staff was full of great recommendations! It’s like staying in a relatives home.

My husband and I have not had the best experience finding a good place to stay when we travel, but Rathbone Mansions ended our bad luck streak. It was such a beautiful property, and we never felt unsafe. We arrived after the front office had closed and they were well prepared, and an off duty staff member even came to help us when she saw us looking confused! We only had one problem during our stay - which wasn’t even a problem for long because not only did they ease our concerns, they provided solutions. They even followed up with us the next morning to offer more solutions even though we were set to depart. We loved how walkable it was with both local and tourist locations. We couldn’t recommend this place more and look forward to coming back! (also totally recommend the hot tub after a long drive!)

What a lovely stay with such a friendly manager! Conveniently located. Check in was made so easy for us as late arrival guests, and we appreciate the step by step directions and thorough information.

The pictures don't do this place justice. The rooms are beautiful, the location perfect: walking distance to everything (restaurants, bars, music venues...) but quiet enough to rest. The staff is amazing, checking in and out seamless. I would totally stay again.

Beautiful property within walking distance to Bourbon street. There are two buildings, both lovely old homes. Our room was very comfortable, with a balcony that we enjoyed tremendously. Bathroom was modern, which is always nice in an older building. The pool and hot tub were not modern, but that’s what made them so great. Thank you Rathbone staff for a perfect stay!

Everything was in walking distance which was fantastic. Parking was tight. Water took a while to get warm. But it was still a super cute place to stay.

I stay at Rathbone every time I travel to New Orleans. It’s a great location. Street parking is never a problem. And I like having the complementary breakfast in the morning. I get all of that for a reasonable price.

Lovely place that was nicer than expected. The courtyard, pool area are wonderful and quiet for the area. The general area isn't very walkable in terms of amenities unless you're headed to Bourbon street, but otherwise was a very pleasant stay.

Great place to stay in NOLA. They actually have 2 properties so theres lots of space. Lovely pool, great beds. They were anle to do an early check in as well as held our bags for us as we walked to the french quarter. The walk was thw only downside. It is about 10-15 min walk to the centre of the quarter.

Rathbone Mansions was a lovely place to stay, old world charm and friendly service. Walking distance to Bourbon St. if you don't mind walking 14mins to Lafitte's Blacksmith Bar. Bed was comfortable but don't expect everything to be like a new hotel. You will the character & style of both Mansions.

Check in went smoothly. The noise level in the hall way and people slamming doors was annoying. The floor of the shower sounded like we were going to fall through it. The toilet was loose so in the middle of the night that was jarring. There is free parking on the street and we used that even though we paid for parking which was down the block and across the street. It was more convenient to park in the street. The “breakfast” consisted of bananas and tiny mandarin oranges and oatmeal bars. I know this is an old building but I don’t think we will be staying again. The room was too small. I’m glad I didn’t pay for a patio since the building next to the hotel was some dilapidated home that should be condemned. Sadly people actually live there.

Clean and spacious room. Easy self check in. Great pool and hot tub in the back with a bar (I used the pool in the morning so I didn’t see the bar operating). Perfect location within walking distance to the French Quarter but far enough to have plenty of free (and apparently safe) street parking, and no street noise. Rooms could have more towels tho, specially in a place where there is nobody at the lobby after 6pm. We tried getting more towels in the morning but couldn’t find anyone there either. Overall awesome stay and will definitely stay here again next time I’m in town.

Very comfortable and cute. The Rathbone is two lovely old houses across the street from each other. We stayed in a room on the back courtyard. The room was large, with a mini fridge and microwave and one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. It’s an old building, and that shows a bit (hot water ran out one morning), but no deal breakers for us. They put out coffee and modest breakfast items (instant oatmeal, fruit) in the reception room every morning, although not always as early as advertised. Neighborhood around the buildings is urban, but seemed safe, and we walked out to informal dining. Would definitely stay there again.

Overall , the place was in a good location to walk over to the French Quarters. Staff was friendly and informative on place around the neighborhood and things to do in the city. Breakfast is a light breakfast (Coffee, protein bars and fruit) The needs to be a few updates to property like lighting and door locks.

The Rathbone is a great place to stay if you have a larger group. The rooms are large and beautiful, they're in great condition, and the staff is super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. And it's pretty good walking distance to just about everything in the French Quarter. Not loud in the action, but not to far a walk to get there. We will ABSOLUTELY be back!

12/10 rating!!! Room was great. Very clean and offered everything we needed. A/C was amazing. We did not use the pool area so no review in that. Front office staff was helpful and accommodating. Found parking on the street easily. Stayed for 4 nights and have no complaints about anything. Perfect location for walking distance to anything in the French Quarter. We walked everywhere went went for our entire stay. Restaurants and convenience store near by as well.

Beautiful secluded courtyard area outside the room at building 1227! The pool and hot tub area are relaxing and provide a calming vibe at building 1244! The room had a beautiful 4 poster bed, granite topped chest of drawers, original hardwood floors, beautifully updated bathroom w a multi-head walk-in shower....and beautiful wooden beams along the ceiling. This was our 2nd multi-day visit, and we will return!
