Holiday Inn Express - Wall Street by IHG

The hot water turned off on the second day of our 3 day stay. It never came back on.

Overall an okay-stay. There was still hair in the shower from the previous guest but that didn't really bother me. And the "fitness center" is just a room in the basement of the building that used to be a closet with 1 tread mill, 1 eliptical machine, and 2 pairs of dumbbells so it was kinda unusable to be honest. It's kinda what I expected from an express location like this. But the staff was friendly and helpful when I asked for directions/recommendations.

The hot water runs out in the middle of the nite so I need to take 2 cold showers out of the 3 nites I am there until I figured out their hot water schedules.

Elevators were the biggest struggle half the time we were there 1 was down and they were pretty slow.

Couldn't find any hot water our last morning. The HVAC in the room sounded like a helicopter landing so we turned it off and weathered the cold. The room was not made up after the first night.

I would recommend this hotel. The receptionist were so friendly and nice. The room was so clean. I like the bottle waters they gave as a complimentary.l liked the breakfast. But ice maker was in flour 2 i had to go there.

Very convenient area of New York. A lot of stuff to do nearby. Hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming. Fitness room could be better. Breakfast could be better but still acceptable.

Overall very good staff and room. However, there were only 2 slow elevators for 27 floors. And ice only on 2nd floor. Also not quiet; heard lots of talking from hallway or other rooms.

Friendly city centre hotel. Room was clean and just enough space for me. One of the lift was muttering at floor 3 which made me a bit nervous and avoided that lift.

While most of the staff was doing their best under stressful circumstances, a few were not at all patient, courteous or helpful. The block where the hotel is located is under heavy construction, making it very difficult to access via the main entrance and signage is covered over and blocked, making it difficult to find. It's a tight, cramped city space and the lobby is exceedingly crowded. The two elevators were not working well. They got stuck, were super slow and rickety and also completely stopped working one night and someone was trapped. Had to listen to loud banging and warning bells for several hours of the evening while repairs were attempted (unsuccessfully). By morning, a temporary fix was made. We missed our morning engagement because the elevators failed again. We were on the 26th floor and my boyfriend couldn't descend that many stairs due to knee issues, so in essence we were trapped in our room for two hours before we could exit. Another guest had to take a baby and 2 toddlers and luggage up and down 11 flights. The bed was old and lumpy and squeaky. Overall, not a pleasant stay!

Room was small but clean. Lobby was clean. Staff at front desk welcoming and friendly. Hotel was quiet even though it appeared full based on number of people in breakfast room. Hotel location was within walking distance to 911 memorial and museum (a few blocks away)

I recently completed the 5 boro bike tour. Location great.Clealiness - the bathroom had a smell. Toilet was very low flow, had to flush 3 times. The showr did not have hot water. This was very disappointing since it was out right after i got back from the bike tour. Destiny at the front desk was really awesome@@

We arrived on an early flight from Las Vegas and they invited us for breakfast which was just perfect, the rooms are clean and spacious, the elevators are available even during rush hours, the staff was always smiling and pleasant. Great location to discover the Brooklyn Bridge area and walk along the Hudson and the magnificent view of both sides

Room was not serviced. Living trash can was overflowing. The trash in the basher as well. The bed was not done and neither was rhe floor etc.

The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly.

Dirty shower. Lots of hair balls on the floor. Rather disgusting.

Moldy sheets, moldy shower curtain, toilet seat completely broke off, ants in room, mildew smell in bathroom, no hair dryer. not clean at all, awful. I got sick from the mold in the room. Do not recommend.

A very cramped room and common areas. The breakfast options were average, but the front desk staff were very nice.

Shower curtain was missing. There were no enough towels in the room. Room was so congested that 3 people’s can’t move around comfortably.

Front desk staff very friendly. Beds very comfortable. Furniture in room a bit dated and banged up. Not much room to get around bed. We had second floor on street-Request higher floor! Breakfast nice option.

The Wifi did not work in my room. Reported the issue, they said it was a trouble area and I could come work in the breakfast area. Could not work from Hote.

Rooms are absolutely tiny - even for New York standards. The plumbing was very dated as I found out when I was woken up at 5am by my neighbor showering The location is very convenient close tot the financial district

I had a high floor room, but the elevators were not too slow. The room was very small and dimly lit, could really have used a desk lamp. The bed felt very small but a king would not have fit in the size of the room. Overall, the location is great and service was very good, quality is not terrible and a relatively good value for lower Manhattan.

The staff was super accomodating and friendly, the room waa cozy and bed was comfy even though there was construction outside at least on weekends was quite so we had no issues sleeping, tv is not a smart tv so dont expect to watch shows but NYC is not meant for staying in your rooms so was cool for us. Coffee and water provided in the lobby area overall our stay was pleasant

Small room, didn’t have air conditioning for pretty much the whole trip. Took 5 different trips to the front desk to get them to figure it out

I was told I could do a split payment between me and my husband’s card and not only was I charged half of the hotel but also the full amount. I will be demanding my money back and was told it would get fixed. If I do not receive my money back I will be pursuing legal action.

They gave our reservation to someone else. We had to change rooms the next day and still couldn’t get it right. Looking for our bags and room. Finally got our rooms on 2nd night. Next morning the manager made it right and took care of us. Everyone was polite and trying to fix the problem. Made up with politeness and concerned about us. Rooms were good. Manager and night shift girl were very nice, only reason we would go back to that hotel.

I checked in at 9 pm and was told room is not ready and will be ready in 15 minutes. It sounds great till now. I came back around 2 am and found out the room is not ready to sleep after along day in our journey in new york we were so tired, and we had to wait more than one hour to get the room clean and prepared. Totally disappointed of the service

My room was canceled due to changed credit card but the hotel associate fixed everything thing and we are happy with our room

Destiny was absolutely amazing she made check in a breeze, She was also very aware of the area and was able to give directions and approximaties. We enjoyed our stay and had a great time in NYC.

This is a really really friendly and helpful place to stay. Front desk staff superb. Coffee/tea always available at front desk.

We had a great stay here! The highlight of the trip was definitely Destiny, the sweet woman working the front desk. She made us feel so welcome and we enjoyed lovely conversation with her nightly on our way back to our room. Can’t recommend this place enough!

My experience was overall excellent. Everything was walkable distance Brooklyn Bridge, 9/11 museum, train stations. Good places to eat, walkable distance.

Efficient and clean location, nice breakfast in the morning. Best part about this hotel is the location. Near the Pier 11 ferry and the Staten Island ferry for water transportation. Ferry to Dumbo to go to Brooklyn to then walk the Brooklyn Bridge back was nice. Only drawback small rooms (but that is the norm).

I had a great stay at this hotel, despite some of the negative reviews I had seen. The location is fantastic—several subway lines are just a short walk away, making it easy to get around no matter where you’re headed in the city. The room was smaller compared to other Holiday Inns I’ve stayed at, but for three people, it was sufficient. After all, it’s Manhattan! The complimentary breakfast was decent, though the dining area was a bit cramped. However, it wasn’t a major issue. One pleasant surprise was that our room had a microwave and a small fridge, even though I was told over the phone that they wouldn’t be available. A minor downside was the extremely narrow hallways. If you have multiple pieces of luggage, maneuvering the luggage cart in and out of the elevator requires some careful angling and spatial awareness. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay—much more than I expected based on some of the reviews.

watch out for the free breakfast, got a nasty case of food poisoning, be careful.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, loved the bed. There is breakfast included but half hour or earlier before it ends, there is not much left and the coffee station doesn't have hot coffee all the time. The place is well located, easy to move around.

Stayed overnight only. Nice quiet room on 8th floor with all amenities. Nice breakfast buffet with hot items. Convenient taxi call next morning.
