Charlie Hotel

The hotel met expectations as an expensive 2 star stay. Ensuite room basic and clean. Towel adequate, Wet room small but plenty hot water. Single bed comfortable enough, but thin duvet needed blanket and hot water bottle !! WiFi worked, just as well, as TV didn't pick up many channels. Rudimentary off street car park, but a bonus in London ! Breakfast not over generous , but very good. No facilities once reception closed. No tea and coffee, not even able to get hot water. Tufnell Park shops reasonably short walk Would probably recommend if you only need basics.

Safe area, free parking. Near tube, good breakfast. Yes, very small rooms and beds. Tired decor. But for what you pay for its a good base for heading out in that area.

Although the Charlie is dated and in need of some TLC, it is clean and tidy. The staff are very pleasant and welcoming and the breakfast is very good. The free parking was a crucial part of my decision to stay here for three nights as i need my vehicle for work. I did find it strange that the bedroom did not have tea and coffee facilities. All that said, i would stay here again as a good value option.

We were greeted on arrival. Room had everything we needed albeit small(no microwave or fridge) The staff and the lady host(Ramona) were amazing. hardworking and attentive even at peak serving breakfast time. Quick to respond and remember our whims like leaving our luggage post check out time. 2 types of breakfast offered: american with bacon ham or (veg)cheese omelette & toast.

Room was very basic, leaky taps and hard to adjust shower, but usable. Room was very cold and no heating controls. Check in was efficient and breakfast was very good (english breakfast and continental options). We did not feel it was worth the money as it was quite expensive, even for London. There was private parking but it was very uneven ground and a tight turn!

Its the perfect place to stay for matches at the Emirates. Tucked away from traffic, easy to find and free parking.

It was a 15 minute walk to the o2 forum. It was also close to Tufnell Park tube station. Check in easy, room clean but dated. No facilities in room. Dining room dated but again service was good.

Room: Somewhat neglected. Room Cleaness: 4/10 Ensuite Bathroom: 3/10 Toilet seat broken Mouldy shower, but the worst thing is the lack of towels. The bathroom was very small. Breakfast: 3/10. Moldy Bread (although the mold was a small of the bread), Advantage: has a car park

old, dirty, spiders, mould, dusty old moquette. room was smelly, no hand soap in the toilet, mould in the shower. zhe only thing was ok it was the Bed even tho you'd be staring at spiders on the sealing

This hotel was ideally situated for some activities I had to attend in this area of London but unfortunately it wasn't a very comfortable stay. Friendly staff and a decent spread of breakfast options helped get the mornings off to a strong start, but the room didn't seem to have been cleaned or ventilated properly before my arrival. There was a musky smell, cobwebs by the window and discarded contact lenses from a previous guest on the side table. I requested these be cleared away after the first night, but they weren't which was very disappointing.

The room was horrible. Window was broken, and the other cracked. Dirty toilet, probably mouse poop. We even left one day before and got another place because of the dirt. Staff were friends and helpful though. And good location.

It was very bad. The room was very dirty, the shower had mold. There was a hole in the wall. Heating didn't work and the room was cold. Everything lacked proper maintenance. The carpets in the hallways and stairs looked like they had never been cleaned. The staff didn't seem to care about good service. Only good thing is that their WiFi was very fast. And the guy in charge did take care of my bag before check in time. Don't stay here, don't use Expedia either. Expedia doesn't take any accountability for bad stays and do only the bare minimum to help.

This is a very run down, spotlessly clean property. The property looks a mess from the outside. My room was number 14 on the ground floor. Two single beds with very clean sheets. The bathroom is no bigger than a single wardrobe. Major damp and mould by the window. 24/7 dripping sound. Need to keep the curtains closed as just outside the window is a smoking area. Excellent breakfast.

Location great! Quiet street. 15 minutes from the tube station. However.... Mattress awful. 'Bathroom' just big enough for me to rest my chin on the basin while sat on the toilet from which I could also touch the shower door at the same time. Basin taps loose making it difficult to turn on and off. The place is in desperate need of a face lift. Breakfast was the best bit.

Stayed here for one Tuesday night as a solo traveler for an Arsenal champions league game. Friendly host and location itself seems good. The hotel itself is a bit run down and could do with touching up here and there, my single room was very small on the top floor, the bathroom door only opened half way due to the sloped ceiling catching the top of it which wasn't ideal. Would be a good idea to put a kettle and some hot drink facilities in there for a little more comfort. Breakfast in the morning was good and again, the host was pleasant and chatty which is always nice. 20 minutes walk to The Emirates Stadium which was nice on the way back as the streets were buzzing and lively. Overall for the cost it was alright and served a purpose just as a bed for the night after the football.

Walkable from local tube station,quiet residential area so felt safe,met at property and handed keys room small but ok, shower hot bed ok ,very dated furnishings but seemed clean, definitely ok for a night's stop over,would stay again as found it reasonably convenient.

I stayed for two nights and both of them there was a strong smell of weed. It was hard to sleep as you can hear everything going on outside the room, including doors, people playing loud music in the other rooms, people walking upstairs. The room I stayed in was in the basement and one evening a door to the street was left open which made me feel very unsafe.

Door had to be locked to stay shut, carpet loose, badly fitted and trip hazard, no blackout blinds so woke by bright sunlight at 4am and noisy helicopters

According to the rental in London, in general it is above average: safe environment, bus stops within 10 mins walk, breakfast included, friendly staffs. But in personal, the single room is too tiny, as well as the toilet and shower space are too small to use.

A nice stay for one night in London and very affordable. The shower only went freezing cold or boiling hot so that was a shame but other than that we had no issues. The triple room was large but the bathroom was tiny. The staff were very friendly and the area was quiet and seemed safe.

Very basic - my tiny attic room was purely for use a sleeping place- and it served my needs fine

Very inexpensive hotel with parking in a quiet area. Shower was broken leaking all over the floor. Checking in was a bit of a mess as their systems showed different dates to my booking but it was all resolved amicably. Nice staff

If you are looking for a bed, a shower and breakfast with private parking then this is the place for you. If you can ignore the grimy net curtains on the stairwell and the empty vending machine. The owners although initially coming across as a bit brusque were actually lovely and helpful. The breakfast was nicely cooked and ample with endless orange juice and toast had we wished. The tiles outside the front entrance were dangerously slippery in the wet. But added for a fun slide up to the steps on returning from the gig we had been too. Ultimately it’s a little tired in decor but the bed was not uncomfortable and the bathroom had definitely been cleaned. The shower head holder was broken but we managed to get it into a position that worked. It served the purpose we needed and that was a place to sleep and clean up. With the car safe off the street as we had another stop to make after the one night here and there was lots of equipment in the car. So that peace of mind was worth it alone. Would I stay there again. For an overnighter yes. For longer mmmm I’d have a search around. Would I recommend it. For a one nighter yes.

Very nice bed and breakfast. Good breakfast. A bit hard to communicate with a language barrier but we figured it out. They worked with us as we were a late arrival too. Room was tight with 5 of us but we weren’t in there very often. Would stay again!

Lovely quiet area. Off-road parking. Friendly staff. Quick service at breakfast. Room could do with modernisation but it had everything I needed. All in all, a great value hotel with lovely staff. Stayed there 3 times and I’ll certainly go back when I’m next in London.

Great location - within walking distance of O2 forum Kentish Town and Tufnell Park stations. Very basic but was clean. Provided a hearty English breakfast.

This was my second time staying at Charlie Hotel in London, and it won’t be my last. I was in town for an Arsenal match and just needed somewhere simple to rest and freshen up — this place does the job perfectly. The accommodation is basic, but it’s clean and has everything you need if you’re not fussed about frills. One of the standout perks is the free parking in the courtyard, which is a real bonus in London. Breakfast is included too, which is always appreciated. The host is very helpful and made sure everything ran smoothly. Best of all, it’s just a 15-minute walk to the Emirates Stadium — ideal for match days. I’m already planning to book again for my next trip to see Arsenal play. A great little gem if you just need a no-fuss stay in a handy location.

Nice and badic but everything you need for a single night or weekend. Ensuite room and breakfast included. Essy access of Tufnell Park tube but also walkable from kings cross, camden and hampstead heath. Good value for money.

The property is generally run down. Carpets on the stairs look very old and worn. We stayed in the family room at the back of the hotel and due to this it was quite noisy with people speaking in the smoking area until late. Beds were comfy though and shower was good. Breakfast was very nice. Overall for 5 people it’s worth the price. Nearest tube station is a 10 minute walk

Cheap option for a one night stay with a nice cooked breakfast. Bathroom very small, but did the job for our short stay in London. Price wise was good for London.

No bacon or sausages for breakfast as they "Hadn't had a delivery." So baaically toast, beans, which I have an allegy to, and mushrooms for breakfast. Street was quiet, other hotel guests less so. Room small but adequate for one night
