As always, as I stay at this Motel 6 twice per year, the front desk, staff were helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The room was squeaky clean. This is one of my favorite Motel 6’s. I am a travel, nurse and drive across the country twice a year and because I have two cats, I stay at motel sixes across the country. This is truly one of the best ones. Of course it’s not a luxury hotel, but my kitties are welcome and at this particular motel, the ice machine is always working, there’s plenty of towels and the staff couldn’t be any kinder. Five stars all the way around..

Quiet, reasonably priced and SAFE. Our truck and belonging were left alone. Close to the on and off ramps. Free coffee but the creamer options are lacking. Pet friendly and they stay for free

Nice little hotel for a nights stay. Room is small and basic. Room has an adjoining door to the next room. It can be locked from both sides. Room did have a fridge and microwave. Bathroom is small but shower was clean and worked well. Big bonus pets stay free. The parking lot is well lit. Outlets are sparse and not placed well. There is an outlet behind the bed. I recommend bringing a long charging cable if you want to lay on bed and be charging your phone. We checked in around 8:30 and there was not much open for food. It is a pretty desolate area with multiple closed businesses. Overall, a great price and good room for the stay. Due to the size, if you have a family, it may be too small for multiple days stay. But for a night or two, you can’t beat it.

This hotel is basic, so a three - average, is fair. It was clean enough except for the dried bug in the bed. Mattress was so-so, adequate. I was given a room with an adjoining room / door and I could hear a woman coughing through the door. There was some voice and vehicle noise in the parking lot after dark - it is motel after all. There are train tracks so close that the sound fills and shakes the room - pro tip for other budget travelers, bring a noise machine. That said, there was a tub and the shower and sink water got hot fast. Coffee was available in the lobby in the morning. Front desk was prompt and friendly.

If you want or need a bunch of amenities then you need to look further. If a clean and comfortable place to rest your weary body is all you need at a reasonable price then book a room here. EVERY member of the staff was courteous. Just a friendly ,no frills,clean place to stay.

Staff was very nice. Room smelled clean. Sheets were dirty had hair not matching our coloring, and ugly little black fibers, and dots on them. Floor was filthy between the bed and the door. We had to clean our feet before we could get into bed. You could hear the train at nine although it wasn’t super unpleasant I didn’t know about that. We had brought our own sheets so we didn’t use any of their bedding or pillows. Would not stay at this place again.

The hotel was nasty. Our first room was covered in all types of bugs, both dead and alive. Bugs were everywhere, including in the bed, so we requested another room. We were moved to the next room over and it was just as bad. I contacted Expedia immediately and was given a refund and we left. The prices were cheap, but it’s worth paying more for a cleaner place down the road, like the Days Inn or Super 8.

I very much enjoyed my stay at the Motel 6 Van Horn, TX. This is a budget motel so there were no frills attached, but the customer service was outstanding, my room was clean and completely serviceable, and I slept well and enjoyed my stay. Well done, Motel 6!

The only problem was the sound coming through the walls really easily. There is a train track across the street and it went by loudly at all hours. The door seemed not to seal to the elements very well. Otherwise, all of the linens and surfaces were clean.

If you're looking for a clean bed for the night, this motel works. If you want to unwind with maybe a good book, you're out of luck. One uncomfortable chair. Only one tiny bedside table between the two beds, and it's about 18" away from each one. Add to that the table is so small that the phone pretty much fills it up. So I'd summarize by saying OK for sleeping, not really designed for much of anything else. It does have a tub & shower, which I haven't tried yet.
If you're looking for a clean bed for the night, this motel works. If you want to unwind with maybe a good book, you're out of luck. One uncomfortable chair. When I called to check availability I spoke with Sherry who was very pleasant. I asked if connecting rooms were a possibility and she said yes that we would have to book one queen room and one double room. Because I get rewards on hotels.com I booked through the app and wrote down I needed connecting rooms. Sherry said they would see the note and make sure to give us connecting rooms. Upon arrival Caleb provides me the keys and I ask if they are connecting. He says they aren’t and that they don’t have any connecting rooms. I explain that Sherry assured me they would be because I have my four kids. He wasn’t helpful and pretty much said oh well we’re booked this is what you have. Very inconvenient as two of my kids had to sleep three rooms away alone. Also lots of noise from the train passing and not comfortable beds. I requested non smoking and the rooms were saturated with smoke smell.

Check in was an absolute delight for someone who works on the road and travels with a service animal. I walked in the door for a lateish(10pm) check in and they promptly greeted me and my service animal, had all the paperwork/keys prepared so I was in and out in less than a minute. Room was average for a motel 6, you know what you're getting but the service was absolutely exemplary. I wish check in everywhere I stay was this efficient!

Check in was quick and effortless, the hotel receptionist was extremely polite, pleasant and helpful. Room was basic but clean, exactly what you would expect from a roadside Motel 6. I regularly drive from Dallas to Phoenix and back for work, and I always prefer to stay here as it's always an effortless check in with a pleasant receptionist and a clean room for a night of sleep while on the road. Every staff member I've spoken with has been amazing every time, and I'll be staying here on my return trip as well.

I was able to park right in front on my room. Yes the property is between the interstate and the train tracks, but the noise didn't keep me from sleeping. There is a lovely park across the road.
I was able to park right in front on my room. Yes the property is between the interstate and the train tracks, but the noise didn't keep me from sleeping. There is a lovely park across the road.

I haven’t stayed in a Motel 6 for years and was pleasantly surprised by this one. We chose it because of price and proximity to Tesla chargers (right next door). The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. There was a small table and chairs, but no comfy chair in the room. The TV was small but we didn’t watch it anyway.

The team was super kind and helpful. There’s a park just across the street that is perfect for walking dog buddies, and parking and walking to nearby businesses was easy.

We needed a place to sleep between PHX and Waco and Van Horn was the right distance. The Motel 6 is what you expect - simple, bare bones. The front desk clerk (Danny) was remarkably friendly and energetic. Parking right in front of the room. Room was clean, and has what you need for a sleep and a shower. Free coffee in the office in the AM to get you going. Our neighbor was loud but I can't blame the hotel for that.

This was my second time at this property, needed a safe place for me and my fur babies to rest for a night while passing through town. Room was clean, area was quite, was able to park right in front of my room, and most importantly I felt safe there. Staff was great, they directed me to the local steak house for a warm meal other than fast food. Overall it was just what I was looking for. Would definitely recommend.

Nice little hotel for a nights stay. Room is small and basic. Room has an adjoining door to the next room. It can be locked from both sides. Room did have a fridge and microwave. Bathroom is small but shower was clean and worked well. Big bonus pets stay free. The parking lot is well lit. Outlets are sparse and not placed well. There is an outlet behind the bed. I recommend bringing a long charging cable if you want to lay on bed and be charging your phone. We checked in around 8:30 and there was not much open for food. It is a pretty desolate area with multiple closed businesses. Overall, a great price and good room for the stay. Due to the size, if you have a family, it may be too small for multiple days stay. But for a night or two, you can’t beat it.

This hotel is basic, so a three - average, is fair. It was clean enough except for the dried bug in the bed. Mattress was so-so, adequate. I was given a room with an adjoining room / door and I could hear a woman coughing through the door. There was some voice and vehicle noise in the parking lot after dark - it is motel after all. There are train tracks so close that the sound fills and shakes the room - pro tip for other budget travelers, bring a noise machine. That said, there was a tub and the shower and sink water got hot fast. Coffee was available in the lobby in the morning. Front desk was prompt and friendly.

It was good for its price, just hope they gave breakfast, even just a simple one. And it would help if the toiletries are already in the room and you don't have to go to the front desk to ask for it. Staff was nice though and place was clean.
