Easy check in. Staff is helpful. Lots of parking. Lot is well lit. Quiet at night. Laundry on site they have 3 washers and 2 dryers. Hot breakfast from 6:30 am to 10 am. Biscuits and Gravy, eggs, toast, bacon or sausage, cereal, fruit. Would consider staying here again when in town. Only 2 miles to the Boarder.

Hotel room was reserved for 1 night. Just needed a place to drop off our stuff and cross to Tijuana. Check-in took less than 2 minutes, staff was friendly. Room was in perfect condition. Clean and comfortable beds. Pillos were great. Since the hotel wasn't sold out, they allowed us to choose Between upstairs or downstairs rooms. Parking in front of you room is great. There's a Carl's Jr and McDonald's walking distance. Freeway is a Block away. Less than 10 mins from the Border. Highly recommended. I'll definitely be back.

Pleasantly comfortable and quiet. My room was very spacious with a separate area for the bathroom behind the main hotel room. I felt very safe at night with the well-lit parking lot. The hot breakfast each morning was delicious as well.

Nice and clean. Very quiet, which we loved! Pool was a nice touch. Here is the bonus…excellent breakfast and the staff responsible for the breakfast room kept it very clean and exceptionally well stocked. I was crossing the border to Mexico daily, and this was a very good location for that.

Thankfully it was a slow day, because it was nice and quiet. Overall it was good, but the room needs some TLC. Horribly stained carpets, ripped furniture, and hair on a towel. Thankfully it was just for a night's rest, on my road trip to see a friend.

The rooms need some updating, carpets are pretty dirty. Dining area inside is so small. Breakfast is probably one of the worst Best Western I've had. The coffee is instant coffee thats already a mixture out of a machine, pretty bad. Staff was nice.

Close to where I wanted to be. But the property needs a deep cleaning. The couch has been chewed by an animal it seemed. There was green gum stuck to the night stand. M&ms on the floor. Carpet dirty The bathroom was nice over all The overhead light was always glowing

Location was Great! Hotel was pretty Great! Hot breakfast makes such a difference. My only complaint is that the carpet in the room was pretty dirty. I’m not sure how often they clean them but it is definitely time. Otherwise it was quiet and peaceful.

Internet for my room was very unreliable. I kept losing my internet Signal intermittently when in the room. Consequently, my WiFi connectivity was equally unreliable. Neither phone nor tablet would maintain connectivity. I had no issue reliably connecting to internet service at any other location that offered it.

The room smelled like marijuana. I don’t blame the management and I hope those that violate policy get fined. I occasionally smoke cigars but I would not disrespect a business. In the morning you could hear all the traffic in and around the room. I did not need an alarm because of the noise. Another major issue was the WiFi. it was horrible. The WiFi would cutout. I was told by the staff that they were aware of the issue and we’d trying to fix the problem but it was never resolved while we stay there for the tree days. However, the staff were very polite and helpful. Overall, it’s not a bad place to stay, but not worth the price. I would have expected more quality for that price.

The check in process was a little bit unwelcoming, due that we were attended outside the reception and the weather was a little bit cold; I need to mention that we got to the hotel about 10:30 in the night and understand that due to security issues, the reception was secured and closed, but I think the personnel could have let us in once they confirmed we were guests with a reservation. The room did not smell quite clean (did not smell bad either) but smelled anyhow and the faucet drainage was clogged.

The person who checked us in was terribly slow. It was after midnight when we arrived after a flight from Mexico City. We pulled in front of the after hours window and I got out to check in. The employee was in full sight of the window so I know he could see us. I rang the bell 3 times with no reaction. I had to pound on the thick plexiglass to get his attention. It took him a good 10 minutes to check us in. We had traveling companions check in right after us. We had room 213. They were in another building on the ground floor. I can believe there were two rooms in closer proximity . Our check in on 10/18 was smooth and seamless. The employee who checked us in needs more training or another job. By the time he checked us all in there were 3 more people waiting to check in. At 1am? Unacceptable.

It's basically all in the name of the property: a middle of the road Best Western. We arrived at 10pm and there was a pretty long line as everyone was checking in for a volunteer trip to Mexico with a group of High School students, so an expected event. There was one overwhelmed, relatively unfriendly young woman at the check in desk who vaguely pointed to where we needed to go once we had our keys. Other than that the rooms were serviceable and okay.

Room was basic and fine. Left an expensive electric toothbrush and was told to reach the manager to have it sent to me. Every time I called “the manager” was busy or not there. I continued to call and was told I couldn’t be heard and was sent to a non operational phone. Then when I called back, I’m sure they could see my number, they didn’t pick up at all. Hope someone is enjoying my toothbrush or you got a good price for it!

Excellent facility, amazing service. Only quirk was that something was lost between Hotels.com and the hotel reservation system. I'd reserved and paid for non-refundable rooms for our party of 12 people. When I called the property 3hrs prior to check-in, they were holding only one room for us. Fortunately, there was a lot of room vacancy that night so it turned out well, but it would have been horrible otherwise. Then the property charged us an additional one night fee, even though I'd already paid through the Hotels.com website. I had to do a little legwork upon our return to get that charge dismissed, and the manager (Meressa?) was very good to work with. Overall, an excellent hotel experience - comfy bed, great breakfast, beautiful property. There were only three bath towels in each room, and when i called for more towels the manager showed up with a big stack of clean towels within 5min - wow! We will absolutely be staying here again!!

Upon arrival I was greeted friendly with warm smiles. The attendant was extremely friendly and kind, even offered me additional coffee for my room and allowed me to choose upstairs or downstairs. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was and how clean it was. It allowed me all the amenities I needed and was within waking distance of several places to eat. Bravo! Great job!

Very nice! Excited my expectations and was very clean. It’s right by the boarder so sketchy neighborhood. The staff was very nice and willing to help us. The place was clean and the room was exactly what the picture showed. Would stay here again. Food was great for a free breakfast.

This is the best San Ysidro has to offer. They've improved their breakfast offerings to include hot dishes like scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy as well as the usual plastic wrapped pastries, make-it-yourself waffles, breakfast cereal, etc.
