I chose Hello Hotel because it's only a 5 minute walk from Gara de Nord railway station where I arrived from the airport late in the evening. It's also very convenient for the metro. The hotel itself is very good for the price, the bed was comfortable. The breakfast, served in an adjacent building, is good value but mandatory eating off the tray makes it feel like McDonalds.

The hotel was ok, nothing special. The room was clean and the beds were comfy (even though they were slightly on the small & low side) - the majority of the staff were friendly. The toilet in the room was not private so a little awkward if sharing with someone else. The bar had a few different beers on offer, but not enough kept in the fridge. The breakfast included with the stay was in the hotel next door, same with evening meals. Very close to the Metro and train station for ease of getting to and from the airport and the city.

Very convenient for Gara Nord railway station. Area around feels a bit edgy, but there is a nice hotel bar next door and an excellent, lively, restaurant opposite. Not too far from a tram stop to the centre too (though hotel staff were unable to advise us how/where to buy a tram ticket, so we struggled to use it). Clean and reasonably sized room. Left luggage facility was useful.

Storing luggage was convenient as we were on an overnight train to Budapest. Locality in relation to the Gara du Nord is very close and convenient - well within walking distance. Staff friendly and spoke very good English. Buffet breakfast adequat

It was ok for a short stay. A bit far from the old town, but very near the train station, which was what I wanted as I was getting the early train to Brasov the next day. A small cafe downstairs with delicious looking cakes, coffee and beer too. The place is clean. I reached earlier before 1pm and was allowed to check in, so was a bonus. Quick checkout too.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Really close to metro and trainstation. Clean. A bar with sweets & coffee at the entrance, very fresh. No smoke smell, neither in the rooms or hallway (which is pretty rare in the other hotels).

The cheaper sister of the Continentl Hotel nextdoor. Easy to find from rail station, front desk staff helpful but often busy with other duties. There was a massive group of students when I stayed so luggage piled up everywhere & folks blocking the lobby and doorway. Room was basic but clean, small hard pillows like paving slabs, a fair bit of noise from the trams & traffic on the main road outside despite being 7 floors up.

Clean,modern rooms. Good choice of breakfast options. Surprised this is rated as only 2 star as more like a UK 3 star e.g Travelodge. Only comment I would make is that the rooms were slightly too warm in April as the air system was still producing heat rather than air conditioning . This was remidied by being able to open the window for fresh air. You can exit from the Gara De Nord metro station from exits D,E which are less than 100 m from the hotel, and avoid the busy part of the station

Das Hotel ist gut gelegen. Die Betten sind bequem und die Mitarbeiter freundlich. Sauberkeit lässt zu wünschen übrig. Handtücher haben Löcher und sind sehr alt. Dusche war schimmlig. Bettwäsche dreckig. Als Hotel sollte man sich keine Handtücher mit Löchern leisten. Do teuer sind neue Handtücher nicht. Interessante Konstruktion mit Dusche im Zimmer.

Die Lage ist optimal für die Erkundung der Stadt, denn die Metro ist nur 50m entfernt. In 20 Minuten in der Stadt. Angenehm helles, geräumiges und warmes Zimmer. Sehr gut ausgestattet inkl. Wasserkocher. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und vielfältig. Nettes Café mit Süßigkeiten bis weit in den Abend. Wir merken uns das Hello Hotel gerne für den nächsten Aufenthalt in Bukarest.

overall it's good value for money, but there are two things I honestly don't understand; there are no bedside tables, so you have to put the telephone, water, etc. on the floor. then you have a double bed but the blanket is single, i think its ridiculous.

Hotel is well located next to main train station, breakfast was nice but could be improved. The room was spacious, but very hot because airconditioning in the winter only works for hot. There were couple of glasses for drinks but no small bottle of water nor a mini fridge to keep your food/drinks in.

I’ve enjoyed my business trip to Bucharest and the Hello Hotel was perfectly adequate. Well located, landed at OTP and caught train (£1.03) to Gare Du Nord, left off end of platform and turn right down the street, it was just on your right about 2 minutes. In the Gare du Bord is a carrefour express, essential for this budget stay. Room has nice bed, clean, desk for work, standard euro plug sockets, tv, hair dryer, nice shower. No coffee or water, no safe, or iron. So stock up at carrefour and possibly ask reception about an iron. Coffee and bear and food available in bar, adjoining hotel does breakfast which is okay, coffee and juice were good, but croissants appeared dry. Still for such a cheap room these small things are unimportant. Walk to palace and old town was safe and enjoyable this is a great city. The metro is well worth using and the map in hello hotels reception helped locate metro stop in relation to streets. Hotel books taxis at reception at quiet times about 5-10 minutes wait and busy times about 10-20 mins. I would come again, highly recommended.

Locality is really good. Few minutes away from the central railway station, The Gara du Nord. Subway station is located in front of the Hotel. Clean accommodation, very basic, but enough modern. I didn't really like toilet due to it wasn't 100% separated from the dormitory.

O hotel tem uma otima localização, estação de trem que leva ao aeroporto a 350m e metrô que leva a todos os pontos turísticos da cidade a 50 m. Café da manhã servido no hotel Continental que esta ao lado a uma taxa de 40 Lei Romeno. O quarto é bem pequeno, mas muito confortável e limpo, cumpre muito bem a finalidade. O banheiro esta dentro do quarto, sem paredes e porta, apenas um vidro separando, como mostra as imagens. Tive um problema com o funcionário Adrian da noite, solicitei mais um travesseiro, além dos dois que estavam na cama. Ele me questionou e ainda foi ate o meu quarto para verificar se não tinha um travesseiro a mais disponível. Pediu que abrisse a porta e foi até a cama verificar, meu marido estava deitado descansando. Uma falta de respeito total com o hospede.

The staff are rather reserved but the cleaning staff deserve a medal - it was spotless. The problem is that there is no way to make your own tea or coffee in the room as there is neither a kettle nor bottled water and there is no drinking water made available in the foyer. This during a heat wave. The location was good for the train station though.

I have been staying at Hello Hotels Bucharest for many years, and it’s always a pleasant choice. I spent 14 days here this time and for such an affordable price, the experience was truly great. My room was superb, the cleanliness was outstanding – special thanks to Mrs. Emilia, a true professional housekeeper. I felt very comfortable during my stay. The hotel is just a few steps away from the train station and close to the city center, which is very convenient. Breakfast was perfect – varied and delicious. I highly recommend this hotel!”

I did not partake in the breakfast so cannot comment on it. I had yet another fabulous stay here. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The hotel is quite close to the main train station with Metro, bus and tram lines within minutes walk which makes it so ideal for my needs. I look forward to coming back next year.

Fantastic hotel within easy walking distance to many amenities and attractions. Very friendly staff with helpful advice and information. The buffet breakfast is excellent, so many different options to choose from. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
