I had some mobility issues and everyone was very helpful. With Hanoi traffic, I had difficulty crossing the streets to get to the lake and they walked me there safely. I couldn't walk up the stairs for breakfast on their rooftop and they were nice to deliver my breakfast so my room. I highly recommend the hotel.

The staff are amazing, especially the concierge! I didn’t like my room, there was only a window that looked into the hallway, and it seemed like it hadn’t been deep-cleaned in a very long time. Perhaps that is pretty common in Hanoi Old Town though. The breakfast restaurant at the top of the hotel has a great view.

This hotel is a peaceful, pleasant hotel located in Hanoi's bustling Old Quarter, and near the stylish French Quarter. Hoan Kiem lake is a five minute walk, and there are many, many excellent food options within a few minutes walk. The location is busy, but inside, the hotel is quiet and peaceful. The staff are attentive, friendly, and extremely helpful. An excellent breakfast is served on the top floor.

This is a five star review for a two night stay, but we will be back! Shout out to Lily the manager and all of the staff for being the most accommodating and kind. They really made our stay special. Room: Had a soft and comfortable bed leading to one of our best nights of rest while in Hanoi. The ground floor deluxe room with no window was actually great for sleeping as there was no light and no sound, which we appreciated. Functional and sturdy safe. Included complimentary water and crackers. Very great price on mini fridge beer and soda with additional water. We liked the bathroom with a large quantity of quality toiletries and soft towels. Breakfast: Did not have during our first stay but will mention in my review after our next stay. Area: On the border of two areas making this a calm place to stay right next to the bustling yet cheap Old City and the calm yet expensive French Quarter. We loved this spot compared to our prior spot in the Old City as it was easier to walk around and find places. Nearby to a convenience store with an ATM attached. Accessibility: One step to get into hotel however has rooms on the ground level and an elevator making it great for those with mobility issues. Value: Paid a special rate found online that was absolutely a steal. Amazing value.

What a great little Hotel that punches far above its weight. Not the biggest, fanciest place in the area but packed with staff that go above and beyond to provide exceptional service. On arriving quite a few hours prior to check in time, Mia on the front desk made us welcome and gave us a detailed rundown of the area a let us into our room early. She is a gem. Jackie, the hotel manager, greets every guest and checks in everyday to ensure you are happy and helps with any questions or tips for getting the most out of your stay. Breakfast was served on the top floor with a view. A Fresh and tasty start to the day. Our room had a comfy king size bed and was very quiet. The hotel is very centrally located and just a short stroll to the lake in the old quarter. Great place and great value. Thanks Jackie, Mia and staff.

Good: close to the lake, which is the only safe and nice place to walk around without being hit by a motorcycle. Breakfast on the 9th floor had views of the city and was good. Staff spoke good English (rare for Vietnam) and were very helpful. We asked for a cruise to Halong Bay and were given a quote. We ended up booking online with another operator but then we got charged extra on a boat, we should have used hotel recommendation, would be less hassle and same money. Very comfortable bed and good AC. Water, tea/coffee, and some fruit daily. Not good: Outlets were old and not all of them worked. Do not open the window - it smells toxic CO2 from the street. Got a call at 4:30 am from receptionist who messed up the rooms and needed to wake up another guest. I could not fall asleep and didn’t feel well all day. Breakfast croissant: sometimes they warm them up in the oven and they are delicious and sometimes they served them white and cold. Wi-Fi in the breakfast area is very slow. If you are looking for luxury, this is not a place. Look further away from the Old Quarter, will be calmer and more ‘normal’ experience. It is way crazy, dirty, and noisy in the Old Town.

The location is perfect, rooftop breakfast was great, good size room with hot water and good pressure. What impressed me the most was the quality of service. Staff were very warm and friendly and happy to help. Hotel arranged for two day tours, I loved both tours and the quality of service on both tours was fantastic. I highly recommend this Hotel.

Good location, few steps away from Hoàn Kiếm lake. Property is aged but ok for staying 2 nights. Room was clean, but the towels were overwhelming scented. Breakfast was good, phở dish was simple, delicious and aromatic. Enjoyed our breakfasts there. Staff was helpful.

We had a lovely stay at Hanoi La Selva Hotel. We were greeted with juice and shown to our rooms which were clean, comfortable, and stylish. In fact the entire hotel was exemplary. We most appreciated how helpful the staff at the front desk were throughout our stay. We would stay here again if returning to Hanoi in the future. Thank you!

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage vom Hotel ist sehr zentral und einfach zu finden. Leider in die Jahre gekommen und nicht saniert, Im Zimmer war im Bad Schimmel auch im Schlafraum, die Aussicht aus dem Fenster war gleich null, siehe Bilder Keine Klima im offenen Bereich, Klima im Zimmer nur mit schlüsselkarte, also immer schön warm vom zurück kommen

Staff were friendly and courteous. Bathroom was a little small. The room i had had no separate dressing table. There was a mini bar fridge. There's s 2 universal plugs which is a plus point. Breakfast had limited options, but it was alright.

Lovely stay, very helpful staff. Had an issue with the safe in the room and the staff came up and sorted it out straight away. Only downside was room was meant to have windows, one window just faced a dark wall no light, and the other window you could see directly into the adjoining room.

The location is perfect, rooftop breakfast was great, good size room with hot water and good pressure. What impressed me the most was the quality of service. Staff were very warm and friendly and happy to help. Hotel arranged for two day tours, I loved both tours and the quality of service on both tours was fantastic. I highly recommend this Hotel.

I had some mobility issues and everyone was very helpful. With Hanoi traffic, I had difficulty crossing the streets to get to the lake and they walked me there safely. I couldn't walk up the stairs for breakfast on their rooftop and they were nice to deliver my breakfast so my room. I highly recommend the hotel.

Everything and everyone here exceeding our expectations! Located in the heart of Hanoi we were delighted to learn of the walking street and lake being so close yet far enough to escape the noise .. the staff were simply incredible - especially Hannah and Việt who went above and beyond to help us even after we had left the hotel! Anyone can smile but You know true kindness in times of crisis! They genuinely cared about our safety while we were impacted first by a typhoon disrupting our cruise and later by our Sapa tour stranding us due to a landslide! They checked on us regularly, helped with alternative arrangements. We feel we not only stayed in a hotel but with family - and don’t miss the breakfast - delicious! What a great little Hotel that punches far above its weight. Not the biggest, fanciest place in the area but packed with staff that go above and beyond to provide exceptional service. On arriving quite a few hours prior to check in time, Mia on the front desk made us welcome and gave us a detailed rundown of the area a let us into our room early. She is a gem. Jackie, the hotel manager, greets every guest and checks in everyday to ensure you are happy and helps with any questions or tips for getting the most out of your stay. Breakfast was served on the top floor with a view. A Fresh and tasty start to the day. Our room had a comfy king size bed and was very quiet. The hotel is very centrally located and just a short stroll to the lake in the old quarter. Great place and great value. Thanks Jackie, Mia and staff.

I had a wonderful experience at Hotel La Selva! All the staff were terrific. Jackie, the manager, booked day trips and overnight excursions for me that turned out great. Percy, Mia and all the other front desk staff looked after me and made sure I made the most out of my Hanoi visit. Nom, from the restaurant, always provided a tasty breakfast with a smile. I highly recommend staying here as I totally enjoyed my stay!

This is a great hotel with very kind and professional staff. Hotel is very clean, excellent breakfast and top notch location. Manager Jackie Le helped me with the tours, airport transfer and was there to answer all my questions. As a solo female traveler I felt very safe. I must add regardless of hotel being in the center of old quarter rooms are very quiet. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend this beautiful hotel, do not look further this is the hotel and location you want to stay in Hanoi. Big thanks to the wonderful staff and manager Jackie Le.

The staff at this hotel were very friendly and helpful. We booked a vehicle from them to pick us up from the airport. The driver was late, but the receptionist helped us contact him. When we arrived, they already knew who we were. Whenever we asked questions or for help, they were very detailed. We had booked another vehicle to drive us to the airport in the evening. We had gone on a day trip that day, so the reception even WhatsApped me to confirm, see where we were and see if changes to arrangements need to be made. The free breakfast area is a cute rooftop space. There is a variety of food to choose from. The servers there were also very friendly. The hotel is quite clean. The room was spacious for my family of 4 (2 adults, 1 teen and 1 preteen). The only thing is that the water pressure in the shower is too low.

This is my second review for the La Selva so I will leave a more brief one. Both stays we found the bed very comfortable with strong AC and the room was clean. We appreciated the safe in the room and the toiletries in large quantity and good quality. This time we tried breakfast and found it above average for similar hotels. They have a full menu of options like a restaurant and include fresh squeezed juice and good coffee. We were able to order an omelette and French toast which was a nice touch to make for a big breakfast. The hotel has umbrellas however on rainy days they may run out, so I recommend getting a few more. It says a lot that this is the only comment I have for improving the hotel! Thanks to Nathan, Lilly, and the whole team for being so kind and accommodating. We will consider staying again on our next trip!

Good: close to the lake, which is the only safe and nice place to walk around without being hit by a motorcycle. Breakfast on the 9th floor had views of the city and was good. Staff spoke good English (rare for Vietnam) and were very helpful. We asked for a cruise to Halong Bay and were given a quote. We ended up booking online with another operator but then we got charged extra on a boat, we should have used hotel recommendation, would be less hassle and same money. Very comfortable bed and good AC. Water, tea/coffee, and some fruit daily. Not good: Outlets were old and not all of them worked. Do not open the window - it smells toxic CO2 from the street. Got a call at 4:30 am from receptionist who messed up the rooms and needed to wake up another guest. I could not fall asleep and didn’t feel well all day. Breakfast croissant: sometimes they warm them up in the oven and they are delicious and sometimes they served them white and cold. Wi-Fi in the breakfast area is very slow. If you are looking for luxury, this is not a place. Look further away from the Old Quarter, will be calmer and more ‘normal’ experience. It is way crazy, dirty, and noisy in the Old Town.
