Excellent all-inclusive resort on Riviera Maya. Short ride from CUN airport to fully gated resort. We were upgraded to "club level" as a perk. Large but not gigantic, well maintained with three large pools (children, mixed, and adult). Private beach suffers a little from kelp but pools make up for it. Very friendly and attentive staff. Plenty of food and drink. Breakfast was primarily via buffet, dinner at choice of small-ish al la carte restaurants. Definitely more relaxing than big resorts in Cancun Hotel Zone.

Just right for a 3-generations vacation. Different levels of pools for all ages. Fairly consistent, good food. Sometimes hit and miss at the buffet. Overall nice and clean. Not too many activities. Which is what we like.

Amazing resort, we were greeted with a nice drink and cool wash cloths. All the staff are eager to please and make your vacation wonderful. The resort is clean, beautiful and just the right size for navigating. The Buffet is on the small side and at times lacked dinner options. The a la carte restaurants were amazing and made up for the dinner buffet. The lunch options were plentiful, many days a lathe outdoor buffet was set up with a bbq which was so great! The Explorers club was FANTASTIC! My daughter never wanted to leave it, super organized, great activities and awesome staff. My only downfall was the room layouts are not overly private when staying with children, semi frosted glass doors to the toilet and shower and open concept rooms that aren’t overly big. I would love to return to this resort again in the future.

We were upgraded to the preferred club plunge pool room which we really enjoyed with our 1 year old. When she napped in the room we were in our private pool or jacuzzi tub. Pools are nice especially the ocean view off the adult infinity pool with the swim up bar. Smaller resort but has everything and everything is close. Beach sand was nice but ocean water discoloured due to sargassum. Buffet was ok but the restaurants were great. There were bars everywhere. You will see lots of weddings while in the pool. Shows were good especially the fire show. For a smaller resort I recommend it with an upgraded room

We had a fantastic time at the resort. Food was excellent with all the staff was outstanding. The tropical view fell a little off. We had a beach maintenance 30yd dumpster outside the sliding door & patio with another resort building all in the views. The elevator was not working. Other than that i will be returning for another stay.

My wife and I stayed here for a week at the end of March 2025. We were more than impressed and couldn’t think of anything negative to say about our experience. The staff are exceptional, the dining is amazing with plenty of dine in options as well. We had a room with a plunge pool and it was an excellent way to wind down after spending the morning/afternoon at the main pools/pool bar. We also utilized their spa and had an excellent massage and a truly tranquil and relaxing experience. Overall a fantastic time and we are looking forward to our next vacation which will most likely be spent at another Dreams resort.

This property is beautifully designed. Employees are very friendly and helpful - all of them. They work really hard to give you the perfect stay. The restaurants are amazing and the presentation of dishes are stellar. They have many activities planned throughout the day. There is always something to do. The shows at night are very entertaining, and well planned. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay for 6 nights.

The property is very family- and kid-friendly. The staff at the Explorer’s Club for children were outstanding—they even managed to win over one of my three-year-olds, who typically doesn’t feel comfortable staying with anyone. All three of my kids (a five-year-old and three-year-old twins) had a great time every time they visited. The rooms were clean, and the housekeeping staff were helpful and friendly. The food and drinks were average, with the exception of the top-shelf liquor available in the VIP lounge, which were excellent. Unfortunately, the customer service in several of the restaurants and bars left much to be desired. On multiple occasions, servers and bartenders made us feel as though our requests were an inconvenience. While I normally chalk this up to someone having an off day, this behavior occurred too frequently to ignore. Given the cost of the stay, I expected a higher standard of service. While the experience wasn’t terrible, it wasn’t enough to warrant a return visit.

The staff were great and personable. Everyone remembered the entire families name, drink orders, and were attentive to all. Antonio was in charge of the activities, and stopped by after his shift to share knowledge of surrounding areas and properties associated with the Dreams to visit next. He was great at getting everyone involved and made the stay fun. Staying on the VIP had it's benefits including a private beach area and VIP bars both on the beach and in a private lounge that included extra eats and great service from Wilbert inside there. At both bars you can take advantage of premium spirits. Daniella was our waitress by the beach and serviced us throughout our Cabana rentals. All the staff on the property are attentive and friendly. Food was good at the restaurants, but not a lot stood out, seems like portions have started to become a bit less.

The staff are on the whole really helpful. The variety of restaurants is great, there are plenty of sunloungers and 3 great pools. The spa is really nice whilst expensive you feel like you are getting an escape. The explorer’s club for kids is safe with lots of activities to keep the kids entertained. The family room set up worked well for us as a family of 5. The negatives: the rooms are really noisy, we had to move from the 1st room after the road noise and noise from the nightclub kept us awake. The 2nd room was also incredibly noisy and we didn’t get a good night sleep while we were there. The restaurants variety is excellent but the lines can be really long (over an hour) and the food was usually on the cold side. The buffet breakfast is good but would benefit from having outside space as it can feel very claustrophobic. On the whole it was a great holiday but needs some changes.

Resort wasnt for me Go to a nicer resort. The beach water washes up very brown & lots of seaweed. They try to clean it. No watersports at the resort. U have to book an excursion through a rep at hotel. Not very many people get in ocean. They clean up the seaweed each morning. They need more lawn chairs. My bed was clean. The floor was dirty and had hair in the shower and in front of the toilet. I saw it & got grossed out so i put down towels so i didn't have to walk on the dirty floor. It doesn't appear that they mop between stays. Soap pieces were in the shower. The end tables next to the bed had drink glass residue that wasn't wiped down. I brought disinfectant wipes and cleaned the room myself. I requested towels & toilet paper in the app and i would get a notification that it was resolved and no one had come to my room. I asked for my room to be cleaned in the app and i left out. I returned after i received an app notification that it had been cleaned. The room had not been touched. I signed up for a bike ride to puerto morales with the hotel because i was so bored. Guide was nice & he directed me 2 a souvenir shop where i believe he was in cohoots with the owner. The owner tried selling me 2 magnets for 45.00 american dollars. Breakfast buffet & Seaside restaurant was great. Hibachi grill was broken at Japanese restaurant. I felt hustled. I couldnt just check in, they had me sit down & do a presentation on amenities. Bathtub was dirty see photos

This is a good resort and we had a good time there. All staff throughout the resort were friendly. All pools were nice and clean.Rooms are outdated and not sure how much you can clean these rooms anymore because they just look old and beat up. Food options were good and you didn’t need to make reservations for restaurants. Overall a good stay in the middle of the summer.

The resort was very clean and well-maintained, and evening entertainment was enjoyable. Food was decent and no one got sick, but options were very limited and definitely not “premium.” Check-in was slow and our first two rooms had issues (one door wouldn’t shut, the other had dirty sheets). While the hotel did offer an upgrade, we were too exhausted from traveling since 3:30 AM PCT to move again. Concierge promised Bali beds for a week but only delivered one day, and the process was frustrating. At the pool, service was hit or miss. One staff member, Johnny, was rude when we asked for beach umbrella, were told to help ourselves to one, we did so and then were yelled at; which left a bad impression. The biggest disappointment was the so-called Premier Class. It added no real perks—no special alcohol, no extra benefits—and premium drinks cost $25 each, something never mentioned at booking. Overall, the hotel is more of a solid 4-star. It was clean, safe, and serviceable, but not worth paying extra for Premier.

Room & linens were clean, however one of the nights there was a leak coming from the ceiling. Great air conditioning in the room. Was disappointed in the sports bar; playing kids movies during the football & baseball games (there were no kids watching the movie). Making reservations with a large group was very difficult. Good variety of food options.

This was our first time at Dreams Riviera. We absolutely loved the staff! Everyone was so nice, kind and helpful. We can’t say enough good things about the staff. There also isn’t a bad room as far as location. Each room has a good view. Next time I would definitely splurge on our own plunge pool. Those rooms looked amazing. We loved the kids pool. Here are some things we didn’t like: -Most of the elevators weren’t working, so we had to take the stairs up 4 floors multiple times a day. -They ran out of towels very often at the pool. -We are pretty sure we had sand fleas in the room. There was a lot of sand on the floor upon arrival and we were so itchy in our room! -The food was awful, like really bad. -There’s no privacy in the room. The bathroom and shower have a glossy glass door and doesn’t close at the top, so if one person goes to the restroom, everyone can hear and smell it. We didn’t love that.

Room was extremely cramped for a family with 2 children. Two double beds and two rollaway cribs were really difficult to work with. No room for baby to roam. Also, frosted glass separations for toilet / shower with rest of the room would be very strange if kids were a bit older. Would have preferred more privacy.

Beautiful place. The bed was hard. Buffet is nice but not too many options. The bar for preferred members was far. We upgraded our room to the swim up. The swim out was ok. It was small, we didn’t have much privacy and the water was very cold.

The staff was amazing and super helpful, the property was clean and beautiful. Drinks were great. Our only complaints would be the vegetarian options available (and the food in general was definitely catered to kids and didn’t have much flavor). There were very limited options for vegetarians, especially protein wise. The food concierge was wonderful and did her best to help but there’s only so much she can do with the options available. General noise was an issue as well. We could hear our neighbors tv at all hours and even if they just dropped something it was very clear through the door. It made being comfortable a bit more difficult, especially knowing they could hear any amount of noise we made too.

Great location….we didn’t use the beach but the pools were lovely. We were so well taken care of from the very beginning and the nicest people both guests and staff. Special shout outs to Manuel at the bell stand, Blanca in the Preferred Club. Uzzy and Jonathan for pool entertainment, Jonathan, our favorite pool server, and Jonny and Francisco made our days at the pool such a dream. You guys truly made our trip so special. We are going to miss you all! Santos and Mario at the Seaside Grill and Juan (Number One) at El Patio made our meals memorable as well. This was our first time to the Dreams Riviera Cancún & Spa but it certainly won’t be our last! Thank you all for a wonderful vacation!

We LOVED everything about this resort. I can not even fully express how amazing this resort is. Not only is it beautiful but it has hands down the BEST staff ever! They are so very thoughtful and consideret. They go out of their way to make sure you have the best stay and truly it was because of the staff that our experiences there were elevated. I had a minor ankle injury (100% my fault) and from immediately assisting me in wrapping it, to constantly checking on me, to providing wheelchair escort all over, I have never felt so taken care of. We traveled with our two daughters (4 & 8) and they loved the kids club! The dining options are lovely and the resort is gorgeous! As I mentioned EVERY SINGLE STAFF MEMBER was phenomenal, the ones that made an extra special impression on us with their thoughtfulness, service, and professionalism were: Gilberto in the buffet (we truly feel like we made a friend with him and will come back to see him!), Alberto in the services area (he was so kind to understand my injury and take care of our unfortunate excursions cancelations due to my injury) and Rocio and Fatima in the Explorer's Club (Kids club), our daughters LOVED them. I didn't vatch everyones name but EVERYONE was perfection! Also the lady who greeted us for La Petit Chef was so incredibly kind and amazing. We couldnt have asked for a better experience and are so very greatful for helping us have such beautiful memories of this Cancun trip!

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Service, Average Food at Dreams Riviera Cancun My partner and I recently stayed at Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa for four days to attend a wedding reception. Overall, the trip was wonderful, despite two days of rain. What We Loved (5/5 Stars) The absolute highlight of our stay was the incredible staff and service. The employees were genuinely nice and treated us with such respect, making us feel like family. Their personalized attention truly elevated the experience. A special shout-out goes to the concierge. We needed a last-minute babysitter for the wedding reception, and they immediately helped us find a reliable sitter. This support was a lifesaver! Furthermore, the entire resort was noticeably clean and well-maintained. The only major drawback was the dining. 3/5 Stars) Unfortunately, the food was consistently average. I can't offer many compliments on the meals, and the quality could definitely be improved to match the excellent standard set by the service and facilities. We did experience rain for two of the four days, but the staff's positive demeanor and the lovely resort atmosphere still allowed us to have a good time indoors. ★★★★★ Simply outstanding at Dreams Riviera Cancún Resort & Spa! Everything about our stay at Dreams Riviera Cancún Resort & Spa (All-Inclusive) was perfect. The resort is stunning, and the rooms are modern, bright, and immaculately clean. Our suite with a private jacuzzi and infinity pool was breathtaking. The staff truly makes this place special. Huge thanks to Izzy from the entertainment team, Bryan (Bellman), Sergio (Luggage Assistance) who was incredibly quick, warm, and gave great excursion tips, Elena (Housekeeping), and Jessica (Reservations). A very special thank you to Edwin, Manager on Duty, who turned my birthday trip into an unforgettable experience after learning it was a birthday surprise from my husband. The room decorations, champagne, and cake were such a beautiful and touching gesture. I felt incredibly valued. The food was excellent, the shows were fantastic, and the beach was beautiful with plenty of loungers and clean towels. We were truly sad to leave. This hotel sets the standard for hospitality — we will definitely return.

Property was not huge so no excessive walking was necessary. The staff was excellent and the food was phenomenal! I was surprised we were in a semi residential area. It was quiet and very relaxing. I did not like how the lobby was very hot and stuffy and there is no shade in the pools so you are bound to toast while there.

This resort was beautiful overall. The 4 stars was because it says it offers parasailing but there is no parasailing at the resort...which is the main reason I chose this particular resort. Also, it smells unpleasant when you step outside to the balcony. The smell may be coming from the ocean- which was brown so my niece did not want to go into the water. We just chilled in the pool. I don't think I will stay in Puerto Morelos again for this reason. I've never seen Cancun water like that. Otherwise its clean and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The food was okay.

This hotel is very toddler/kid and elder people friendly. The property is small Enough for everyone of any level of fitness to stroll around. It was safe, food was decent and the room service was satisfactory. Although when you order you have to specifically request your meal to be hot or it will come cold or room temperature. They cleaned my room twice in a day I cannot complain.I would come back.

Service and staff were absolutely fantastic. The food was okay, but I feel like that’s par for the course with all inclusive resorts. The beaches were full of seaweed even though the staff tried to clean the areas.

This is one of our new favorite resorts! The drive from the airport only took 20 minutes and the resort is beautiful. All the staff were over the top friendly and helpful. The restaurants were decent and no wait times and the drinks were made well. The resort has 3 pools for kids, activities, or lounging with the swim-up bar, all next to each other with plenty of poolside chairs and cabanas. Highly recommend for families.

This property was beautiful. Close to the airport. Clean rooms. Tons of activities for all ages and fun shows at night. Great restaurant selections. My only issues were that there weren't any grab and go type snacks anywhere, and they only take reservations for the hibachi restaurant once you check in. All others are first come first serve. Also, I recommend booking direct, as it was hard to get assistance and/or questions answered ahead of time since we booked through a 3rd party. Overall, it was an excellent trip. We’d go back again.

The Dreams Riviera Cancún was an excellent choice for hotel. The staff are super friendly and helpful with everything. The restaurants were delicious but my favorite were the El Patio and World Cafe Buffet. Our servers at El Patio, the Mexican cuisine restaurant, were David and Manolo and they went above and beyond with their services. We also met with Chef Eddie and the Pastry Chef Lopez who came to check in on several tables and make sure we were enjoying the food. They even mad my father, who is diabetic, a custom desert with an alternative sugar option. Additionally at the World Cafe, the hostess Yoselin, always met us with a warm smile and made the experience wonderful. The manager, Mauricio Valerio also came by to check in on us several times which made us feel special. Every staff member always greets you with a smile and is willing to assist in any way. Overall the experience was lovely and we hope to go back again soon!

buffet was not up to par, except breakfast. Mexican diner was ok. the burgers were awful. The transportation was great. The worst thing for me cause I have leg problem was all the steps. but if your young it won't be a problem. All I can say is the staff was so welcoming.

Food is terrible. All 3 of us had food poisoning. Baby and 1 adult had diarrhea, 2nd adult had very bad food poisoning. No food choices - most food is overcooked, over salted and greasy, raw products are not fresh. Italian and Asian restaurants were good. Buffet is terrible.

My daughter and I stayed at Dreams Riviera in July. We loved everything about the resort other than the ocean (due to seaweed) which we know is no fault of theirs. The VIP area on beach was very nice with plenty of chairs and the staff was frequently taking your drink order. All of the specialty restaurants that we ate at were very good. The buffet was just ok. Room was very nice with great AC. Housekeeping was fabulous and kept mini bar stocked with water (bottles) when low. Loved the coffee shop and VIP lounge. Excellent top shelf drinks and snacks throughout the day. The only show we saw was the Pop show. It was good but very warm inside the theater. We attempted to go to the “dance club” at Desire’s later in the evening, but when we walked in the volume of the music was so loud, you could not stay in there for more than a minute. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay at Dreams Riviera and would return in the future 😊

Pros- Service, service, service! Every body is always pleasant. The pools are all very nice. You don't have to walk so far like some other resorts we've stayed at. Drinks selection was solid. Entertainment was very good each night. Cons- Food. This was my biggest disappointment of this resort. Buffet was ok and room service was pretty good. The hard sell when you check in to do a "free bfast presentation" at their sister property was a bit annoying as well. The guy wasted about 20 minutes of our time trying to convince us to go.

Great hotel and staff. Food was generally good at the hotel restaurants but the buffet in the evening was a major let down. Due to the hot weather the beach was full of seaweed and that caused an unpleasant smell. I had 3 rooms booked and all had inconsistent amenities provided where one came with dressing robes the others didn’t; one didn’t have a properly functioning fridge; one didn’t have complementary creams. The housekeeping was very inconsistent - they would come to clean some days and not others and at differing times each day starting at 9am up to 8pm in some cases. My son celebrated his 8th birthday and we hired the vip area which was good. Stores on site are extremely overpriced. Use uber to get to local shops for anything you need. Overall we had a pleasant stay but perhaps would consider a different hotel next time.

Positives: The hotel is clean and well-maintained, even if the rooms feel dated. The gym is basic and the beach unfortunately out of commission due to seaweed, the drinks and entertainment staff were fantastic. The breakfast buffet was also perfectly fine, and the Asian restaurant was genuinely decent. Service: Unfortunately the restaurant service elsewhere was exceptionally poor. Servers were incredibly slow and frequently forgot orders, forcing me to grab my own drinks after waiting 15 minutes at an empty table. Due to severe understaffing, we faced 60-90min waits for restaurants that were half-empty inside. To make matters worse, daily weddings routinely closed off dining venues to regular guests. Food: Aside from an okay Italian and the decent Asian restaurant, the food was dreadful and rarely served warmer than lukewarm. Steakhouse: Mediocre at best—expect small portions and zero input on how your steak is cooked. Mexican: Consistently empty with terrible service. The food was completely unseasoned, which is baffling for a Mexican restaurant failing to cook its own local cuisine. Fish: Unpleasant lunch and dinner with calamari that clearly came straight from a freezer. I have realistic expectations for all-inclusives, but the food here was so disappointing we regularly took an Uber to nearby Puerto Morelos just to ensure we had at least one decent meal a day.
