Overnight stay in London to go the theatre. Basic hotel no bar or food but there are many places in and around so not a problem. Room itself was comfortable. Bathroom a bit small but perfectly formed. Roomy shower though. Bed comfortable. Overall very pleased.

I'm extremely disappointed with the condition of the room. There was debris on the pillow from the air conditioning, stains all over the walls, and the sink doesn't work at all. To make matters worse, there was dust everywhere, making the room feel dirty and neglected. This level of cleanliness and maintenance is unacceptable If you are visiting with children - rethink. No heating too.

While the online reviews and photos are high, our room was clearly one that was not remodeled. It was decent yet had a poor old bathroom floor that was peeling and dirty and grossed me out. Additionally the pillow cases we had all had stains on them. The location is good and reception desk was helpful but was lower quality than what I expected.

Pros: close to tube, walkable to lots of entertainment, restaurants and dining, staff friendly and helpful. Sheets were clean. Free bottled water. Cons: If you have any mobility issues, this place is not for you. You must walk up at least one steep stairway WITH YOUR LUGGAGE to get to your room...there are no elevators. I had recently had knee surgery and walking up and down 2 flights every day was not fun. Plus all room have another stairway to get to bathroom. Rooms were small and dingy. Furniture looked like it was picked up on the side of the road. Tops of curtains were very dusty. Leak marks in ceiling. Mold along ceiling in main room and in bathroom. Leak in bathroom ceiling when it rained (I wasn't on the top floor) which dripped down onto the toilet paper role. If I had been the US, I would have left and found another hotel.

Nice looking room spoiled by faulty amenities. Toilet was out of order which wasn’t a problem in itself but there were towels left on the floor where something was leaking and it smelled of urine! There was black mould on the ceiling and totally unsanitary, we blocked off the room but could still smell it through the night

Great location, especially when the Tube drivers decide not to work. Given my wife’s limited mobility a bathroom on the same level as the bedroom would have been helpful but that was a minor point compared with benefit of having a ground floor room. Thank you.

Excellent location but hotel feels grubby with stained carpets and chipped woodwork. Steep staircases so my bag was taken to room which was nice. However it all looks old and in desperate need of an update. Air conditioning wasn’t working (the tech came to the room while I was there and said he’d have to come back to fix it) and there was also a stand alone A/C machine in the room that just blew out warm air. Had to open window to the street to get some cooler air. The noise from both the outside and inside (door banging) meant I didn’t sleep much both nights. A shame as location so good.

Great location by Covent Garden. Friendly reception staff. Comfy beds. Small room but fine for 2 people overnight. 3 flights of stairs but luckily we only had light luggage. Everything was OK in the room except for the curtains hanging off on one window, the bathroom extractor fan was very noisy and the shower was a real disappointment and frustration - just a trickle from a fixed ceiling head.

It was not the experience we had hoped for. On the first night, we were given a decent room – not the one we had booked, but an acceptable one. Unfortunately, we were told that we would have to move to another room the next day. We did. The new room was in the basement, without windows. Simply not acceptable.

Location was fantastic and still it was peaceful. Lovely little place with some caveats. However … narrow stairs were daunting. Full of chances to falter … and the aircon really did not work. The room did not taste too good so kept the window open. Bed … could have been more comfortable.

Property was in a great location. Room was very small which was fine for being a solo traveller and it was somewhat clean (towels and sheets had small stains. Generally the staff were nice however one gentleman was extremely rude and kicked me out of the hotel because a friend I was visiting came to crash for a single night after missing their train. Left me stranded with my luggage in the middle of london and got verbally aggressive towards my friend and I. Wouldn’t go back

I asked 15 minutes more for the check out because of the long vidéo call. 1/ had to négociate a lot for that! 2/ at 11:15, people going into my room, and get insulted by the réceptionnist. I have Never seen that! And the room are very dirty.

The Fielding is central and convenient to the Covent Garden area and the Theatre District. The staff are friendly, courteous and very helpful! The only problem encountered was with the hotel's posted offer of reliable private taxi services. In our experience, that service was totally unreliable - though the staff did their best to try to find alternate service we very nearly missed our flight home!

second stay here, staff and location are terrific. I had broken my ankle and asked and was promised the bottom level twin room but on arrival was told it had already been assigned. New room had was up steep stairs plus stairs INSIDE the room to get to bathroom. I had a message thread which had acknowledged my request.

This hotel is within easy walking distance to Covent Garden it’s on a quiet street. The staff were really helpful. The rooms were clean and a good size for central London. There is coffee and tea making facilities in the room but no restaurant for breakfast or dinner within the hotel but there is that much choice within the area you are spoilt for choice. Will definitely stay there again when I go to London again.

This is an old building that is very well kept!! The room was small bit just what we needed for our 2 night stay! The staff at the front desk were kind and helpful!! Just know that there are no elevators so you will need to climb some narrow steps! We didn’t mind as we are somewhat fit!! It is a very quiet location with plenty of sites, restaurants, and pubs close by! We loved it!!

Excellent choice for a short London stay. Right in the centre of Covent Garden. Small and friendly. Very clean and surprisingly quiet given its location. Rooms only but this is not a problem as there are so many choices for food on your doorstep. I would definitely choose it again.
