Lots of things to do on and off property though we would recommend booking in advance by calling them up specially for Yosemite bus tour. The swimming pool area is awesome with dining option and great view

What a wonderful place to reconnect with nature and loved ones. The stars, quiet, smell of the trees, phenomenal meals, drinks, and staff, plus the pool, hottub, rec room fun, make this the ultimate destination to stay put or use as a basecamp for Yosemite. Highly recommend.

The property has just about everything, including frisbee golf, horseshoes, ping pong, the pool and a good restaurant. My only criticism is that the cost is a bit high.

Very nice lodge. You can get everything you need in here. Seriously, you can spend time here without leaving the property and you will be good taken care of. They have general store onsite, which has everything you might need, ranging form ice cream and beer to fresh coffee and food. They have clean pool with a view and with evening bbq events. Next to the main reception area, you can find the awesome restaurant that open until 10pm in the summer, game room (ping pong, snooker, table football/hockey), bocce ball, recreation center where you can book tours, etc. We stayed in the vintage cabin. It is clean, modern and cozy and it has ac, shower, fridge, safe, coffee machine, etc. Staff is simply the best: no snobbism, no entitlement, no "I'm tired leave me alone" behavior. They just great, normal people. TLDR: we enjoyed it and will be coming back.

We loved this stay! We have never “glamped” before and thought it might be a fun and unique experience. Oh it was! This was the cutest setting we could have ever asked for. The “private” but communal bathrooms set aside for this section were clean and set up for easy access with laundry on the other side. A super comfortable bed and picnic area with fire pit and walking trail, set in the most beautiful wooded area. Then across the parking lot was the general store with everything you could imagine, a restaurant with excellent and unique dining choices along with standard fare, a cute little tavern that was seriously hoppin with activity. The rec rooms with games, s’mores by the fire pit nightly. Loved the poolside BBQ option. Great bar there and hot tub was perfect temp. The pool overlooked the mountains for a perfect sunset each night. Frisbee golf and then the activities and other options to make your stay special, were incredible. The guests all communed with each other. We met so many amazing people. We could t have asked for a better experience. Located right between the Hetch Hetchy section of the park and another entrance to the park, it was just far enough away to be an oasis from a day at the park but close enough to dig right in and spend a productive day inside Yosemite. I can’t say enough about this place!

We fully enjoyed our stay in the cabin. The sunset views from our deck were spectacular. We made frequent use of the general store and the tavern/restaurant. It was very convenient to have both on site. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the location was perfect for easy access to Yosemite.

This was a good place to disconnect from the world. We had an Alexa for music but no TV in the cabin. The cabin was big and clean. The pool area was my favorite. BBQ by the pool for dinners. The rec center was helpful. We had a guide named Bailey who was excellent for a day trip.

We stayed in a cabin with sofa bed. The hotel has a lovely setting with lots of things to do. We booked two guided hikes/tours - both were excellent. The pool was a little crowded with lots of children and I don’t recommend the nightly BBQ as it’s difficult to get a table before the food runs out. But the tavern and restaurant were fab. There is a games room which our teenage son loved. The cottage was a little rustic and the sofa bed squeaked but overall fine. I am really glad we booked this hotel as the other two in the same chain are either further from the park (Firefall) or more of a traditional hotel style (Rush Creek).

We stayed in the couples tent, and overall, it was a decent experience. The bed was very comfortable, and surprisingly, I didn’t feel cold at night even though it was a tent. That said, there are a few downsides. The shared bathrooms were not maintained properly during our stay. The showers were dirty—there was hair left in the stalls, and no one cleaned it up for at least two days. It was pretty disgusting. As for the food, the dinner at the on-site restaurant was disappointing. I was surprised to hear other guests raving about it, because it didn’t live up to the hype. I ended up sticking with the three-egg omelet and granola for breakfast, which were the highlights for me. For dinner, I ordered the NY steak, and my girlfriend tried a few different meals. I tasted them all, and honestly, everything was average at best—a waste of good ingredients and money. Our overall rating: 7/10 – great for the nature and peacefulness, but food and hygiene need serious improvement.

If you want to stay near Yosemite, there are very few choices. When I was searching for a place to stay, Evergreen Lodge had rave reviews. I'm not sure how. First of all, the staff was great. Very friendly and helpful, so no problem with them. The room however, left much to be desired. I won't say it was dirty, but the couch was stained, the hem on the curtains was ripped and falling apart. The sink in the bathroom was clogged, the hot water handle hardly turned. The shower curtain was stained and one night we had no hot water at all. The food in the restaurant was just ok and vastly overpriced. The road to get there is about 6 miles of a very rough road. Now I get we were out in the woods and it's more like camping than a 4 star lodge.. but that's not a reason for the lack of simple upkeep in the room when the price is almost $300 per night... probably more on season. There are tents on site and maybe actually camping and being less expensive, would be a better experience. In summary, the place is just ok, but don't expect a 4 star lodge as many of the reviews suggest.

Evergreen Lodge gave us a clean and enjoyable spot to land for our trip to Yosemite. From the amazing view from the pool to the quiet cabins, this was a great spot to rest and recover from our time in the park. Loved the s’mores each night and seeing the cows on the ride in and out. We would definitely stay here again.

“I stayed here for 5 days and it was such a peaceful escape. The room was spotless, super quiet, and waking up to this view every morning was pure magic. We stayed during November. It was not crowded. The cabin was very clean and the staff very friendly. The restaurant was great. Good food and friendly staff. You are close to the park entrance. The Lodge is about 7 miles off the highway. The road is narrow and a bit bumpy at times. You don't see many houses along the way. You may think you're lost, but at the end it's worth it.

Cool location, nice set up, cute cabins, dining option etc …but ip the cleaning game- the bottom of the shower and shower curtain were absolutely gross! I get it you collect the grey water for watering plants- but gross pink mold floating around your feet when showering kinda goes too far. Use a little bleach now and then! If I could have found some bleach in and around Yosemite - I was going to clean it for you

Overall, nice stay! The communal areas for restaurant, bar, food, and activities were great. They provided a lot of fun things that can be done and they took really great care of the overall space. The tents where we stayed were an awesome glamping experience. As we have two young children it was a great option to get the best of both worlds. The shared bathrooms were a different story. They were pretty trashed with pool towels laying everywhere and just overall not clean. The tents were also riddled with large spiders and spiderwebs in every corner of the room where for two younger kids can be a deal breaker and nightmare starter. Overall though it was a good experience.

It was a beautiful property but the food at the restraunt was terrible and theres no where around close to get food with out going an hour from the lodge. Theres no microwave or even a television which was disappointing but the pool and activities were great i will admit that but for the price you would think they would offer modern ammenties or at least a decent restraunt

Cozy cabins with a beautiful property. They have a rec center, pool, games to play, trails, and a delicious restaurant. We will definitely be staying again! My only critique is the beds are a little old, you could feel the mattress sag a bit, but as someone with back issues, it did not exacerbate anything for me.

We absolutely LOVED the Evergreen Lodge. We had a private cabin which was very spacious with a lovely back porch with rocking chairs. The room was fully stocked with toiletries as well as a basket of games and a couch and table to play them on. Free s'mores every night, a great pool and hot tub, lots of games and activities around the grounds, and a beautiful great room with a fireplace. The general store had tons of snacks/meal options for a quick bite and the restaurant/tavern was great for a full meal. Make sure you have directions handy because cell service is minimal (but they have free wi-fi on site). The lodge is ~ 15 minutes to the Hetch Hetchy entrance of Yosemite, and probably 20-25 min to the main entrance off hwy 120, but it's a full hour to get all the way in to the yosemite valley village parking area (although most places are unless you're staying within Yosemite). Would absolutely stay here again!

Stayed in the tent, was very comfortable, fresh towels and pillow cases provided. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Daily activities available. This was a short stay on a road trip and was so relaxing and calm. Had access to both the heated and non heated pool. Coffee from the local shop on site was great and good price.

Great hotel, amazing staff, clean rooms, great amenities. My 4 year old loved the playground, pool, and zip line. Only complaints pillows suck bring your own, and heater in room makes all kinds of noises as long as it's running so in the middle of a quiet forest can wake you up often because it catches you off guard.

We booked a tent and a cabin, 2 couples. I recommend staying in the cabin. The tent area was noisy and cold. We were next go the bonfire. There are playgrounds throughout the property which made it noisy when kids were playing and yelling. No heater inside the tent. The bathrooms were closeby but lacked some basic amenities. The men's bathrooms had no shampoo/conditioners and needed to be checked. The all you can eat bbq for dinner was good, $32pp. The location is 1 hr away from yosemite village.

We fully enjoyed our stay in the cabin. The sunset views from our deck were spectacular. We made frequent use of the general store and the tavern/restaurant. It was very convenient to have both on site. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the location was perfect for easy access to Yosemite.

Enjoyable stay, we were in C5 by the pool. My only gripe was that thew if-fi did not work in C5 despite it being reset. It actually worked perfectly of you stood 20 feet outside the cabin. I raised it with reception but did not receive any acknowledgement that anything would be done. So please be aware. I know that going to Evergreen is not about Wi-Fi coverage and the resort and facilities are amazing but as we were snowed in and travelling from the UK access to Wi-Fi was important to us. That said we had a lovely time at Evergreen Lodge

What a beautiful stay. We had the deluxe king cabin. Spacious and clean. We asked for a cabin which had a better balcony view of the woods. They happily gave us the cabin we requested. Evergreen is secluded in the woods which we like. It was quiet, peaceful, and restful. Plenty of staff, and very helpful to answer any questions. Takes about 50 minute drive to get to Yosemite valley. Cell service goes in and out so bring a paper map with you is best. We plan to stay at Evergreen again. Wonderful experience.

Very rude staff didn’t want to refund me 1 day stay even though I checked out 1 day earlier than my planned stay. The power was out the whole night the day I checked it no one from maintenance came to fix it. Would not recommend.

Very nice lodge. You can get everything you need in here. Seriously, you can spend time here without leaving the property and you will be good taken care of. They have general store onsite, which has everything you might need, ranging form ice cream and beer to fresh coffee and food. They have clean pool with a view and with evening bbq events. Next to the main reception area, you can find the awesome restaurant that open until 10pm in the summer, game room (ping pong, snooker, table football/hockey), bocce ball, recreation center where you can book tours, etc. We stayed in the vintage cabin. It is clean, modern and cozy and it has ac, shower, fridge, safe, coffee machine, etc. Staff is simply the best: no snobbism, no entitlement, no "I'm tired leave me alone" behavior. They just great, normal people. TLDR: we enjoyed it and will be coming back.

We loved the cozy cabin camp ground atmosphere with plenty of activities & amenities. Our cabin was adorable. Most of all we’d like to give a shout out to our day tour guides Faith & Tyler. They were amazing—not only engaging & knowledgeable, but also smart & insightful! It was a true pleasure getting to experience the park with them!

Location is outside of Yosemite National Park so its approx an hour drive to the Valley itself, but its easy enough to manage if you are an early riser. It is very close to Hetch Hetchy however, which balances the Valley proxomity limitation. Good comfortable stay, would recommend.

The website is not very clear. The address is Groveland but it’s 30 miles away and very remote. There’s just one restaurant and no kitchenettes. Sign says to save water but the shower takes too long to heat up. The property is very tranquil but just know it’s remote with nothing nearby.

We had a great time staying here! It has that cabin like experience and is close to Yosemite. My only negative is the road to get here is a bit bumpy and not a main road. There’s quite a bit of pot holes so better to arrive during the day with good visibility. Also, several cattle on the road to get there so be careful.

We stayed here for four nights & really enjoyed our time! The area is secluded but close enough to both the Yosemite Valley and the Hetch Hetchy reservoir. If you want to cover both areas in one trip, this is the place to stay!

It was a beautiful property but the food at the restraunt was terrible and theres no where around close to get food with out going an hour from the lodge. To my Vegans‼️ Not many options for food at this lodge. No vegan breakfast/ lunch options. Only had a falafel plate that was not good very bland and watery l, and a chickpea curry as a dinner option. They did have vegan frozen microwaveable options in the gift shop. If you’re strict with your diet and looking for decent meals outside of microwavable food such as a tofu scramble, black bean burger, lentil soup- stuff like that you won’t find it there. I didn’t eat much if I ever come back I will make sure to bring my own food. Property was nice, staff was nice it just needed better options for vegans being how the lodge is so secluded it’s not easy to find other options locally.

We stayed in the couples tent, and overall, it was a decent experience. The bed was very comfortable, and surprisingly, I didn’t feel cold at night even though it was a tent. That said, there are a few downsides. The shared bathrooms were not maintained properly during our stay. The showers were dirty—there was hair left in the stalls, and no one cleaned it up for at least two days. It was pretty disgusting. As for the food, the dinner at the on-site restaurant was disappointing. I was surprised to hear other guests raving about it, because it didn’t live up to the hype. I ended up sticking with the three-egg omelet and granola for breakfast, which were the highlights for me. For dinner, I ordered the NY steak, and my girlfriend tried a few different meals. I tasted them all, and honestly, everything was average at best—a waste of good ingredients and money. Our overall rating: 7/10 – great for the nature and peacefulness, but food and hygiene need serious improvement.

The place is amazing and a perfect base camp to use for a stay near Yosemite. The rustic cabins and common areas were homey, clean and well maintained. The hot tub was great after a long day of hiking. The tavern was cozy and friendly. And the store had a really great selection of just about anything we needed. The restaurant was a let down for dinner (how does it run out of mashed potatoes an hour and a half into service?). Portions were small if they even had the item. A side of soup came in a ramekin meant for condiments, steak was overcooked and veggies were cold (in fairness broccoli gets cold fast). So, I'd look for a different place for dinner. Breakfast on the other hand was incredible. Large portions and well made. So power up there before heading out for the day. The staff was all very friendly, the guy in the store was great. Front desk staff were friendly. The two room family cabin was a peaceful and cozy place to spend the night with no tv to be a distraction.
The place is amazing and a perfect base camp to use for a stay near Yosemite. The rustic cabins and common areas were homey, clean and well maintained. The hot tub was great after a long day of hiking. The tavern was cozy and friendly. And the store had a really great selection of just about anything we needed. The restaurant was a let down for dinner (how does it run out of mashed potatoes an hour and a half into service?). Portions were small if they even had the item. A side of soup came in a ramekin meant for condiments, steak was overcooked and veggies were cold (in fairness broccoli gets cold fast). So, I'd look for a different place for dinner. Breakfast on the other hand was incredible. Large portions and well made. So power up there before heading out for the day. The staff was all very friendly, the guy in the store was great. Loved the property and the staff were welcoming. Although it took a while to get there from the main road, it was worth it because It was so much more peaceful away from everything.

Best Lodge in the Forest, good staff, good food, Clean rooms.. Lots of excitement and fun stuff for Kids.. Snooker and Ping Pong for adults.. Their Pool is amazingly good. Overall you'll not miss any excitement
