I reserved a single room which was large (for a hostel) and quiet. Ostello Bello has free wifi (I was on a working vacation), fun activities for all, the location is PERFECT. Ho trovato una struttura allegra, piena di colori e di sorrisi. Era da tanto che non andavo in ostello. E ho potuto riassaporare un ambiente sereno e accogliente. Consigliatissimo. E comodissimo. 2 passi dalla stazione di Santa Maria Novella. Pieno centro. Perfetto! E colazione super. I ragazzi poi sono di una disponibilità e gentilezza unica. Alla prossima!! I was amazed at how inclusive this hostel is. The staff is super. Friendly, smart, quick. They have a kitchen available with enough free supplies that you could make fantastic family/friend meals - with numerous communal gathering areas. They also organize simple, inviting group activities. The spirit of the place is inspiring. The location couldn't be better. Straightforward, secure entry to the rooms ... exceptional cleanliness of the beds. I'm very impressed.

I was there August 9-12 and the staff that was there during this time went above and beyond. Super friendly and energetic. Not the best with names but huge shoutout to the people that led the sunset tour and karaoke night on Saturday. Would highly recommend.

A very reasonable price hotel to fit our budget and need. It is very safe, clean, comfortable and walkable to tourist attractions and train station. The huge kitchen has all we need from cooking utilities to ingredients and even fruits for vegetarian meals and they are free. It also has a library by the kitchen where people can meet, social, and share their travel experience. It has a free luggage storage. The staff were very nice too.

When we arrived our room had not been cleaned. We returned to the desk, they apologized, and issued us a different room. There were some used towels hanging in the bathroom, but everything else was clean. We had requested 2 beds when booked thru Expedia, but property said they didn’t receive that information, and would have cleaning staff correct it the next day. Cleaning staff was kind and fixed the beds for us. We purchased breakfast with our stay. It was simple, but adequate, and worth the convenience.

I spent 2 nights at Ostello Bello. The service was good, the staff was friendly, it was in a great location and at first the room looked clean. But I woke up the first morning with a number of flea bites on my arms, neck and face. The second day of my stay, I heard a dog barking down the hallway from my room, so I expect pets are allowed. If pets are allowed, it should be stated on the website, and the rooms should be sprayed for fleas once the pet is gone (or designate only certain rooms for pets). I have had red welts on my face, neck and arms and have itched for 4 days.

This was an ok place to stay (family of 4) - two parents and two adult children. Clean, you check-in at the bar and they were very friendly and helpful when we needed a very early cab to airport. However, it is quite noisy to try and sleep at night and seems to be a place for much younger adults, especially with the bar below. First night, there was no hot water (may have been due to maintenance being performed on building). Thankfully, next two mornings, we had hot showers. Beds were not great; make sure the slats underneath are evenly spaced. Makes for a much better nights sleep.

Room was basic and tired looking. Comfort was good with dark curtains, high threadcount sheets and firm mattress. Not really for older adults because most guests were in their twenties. Tiny bathroom and no minibar so impossible to keep medication refrigerated.

One of the most convenient places to stay in!! It's about an 8 min walk from the Duomo, 15 min from the Accademia Gallery. The 24 hr staff are friendly and accommodating. I had to check out at around 3 am to catch my flight, and they helped me call a cab. I felt safe staying there too! Overall, I'd stay their again the next I visit Florence💁‍♀️👍✨️

This was the worst stay I’ve had not because the accommodation itself was poor but because of the staff and management of this place. there was a train strike my first day and I wasn’t able to get to Florence from where I was. I contacted the company immediately to let them know, again in person when I arrived and again before I left to triple check they would refund me for the day I didn’t/wasn’t able to come. They said it was no problem but it would take 4 days or so. Of course once I left they no longer honoured that. As well when I was there- I bought a weeks worth of groceries to budget for my stay and I labelled it as the woman in the kitchen instructed me to, only an hour later I found it had all been thrown out. I went to the staff and a girl admitted she threw it away and offered no solution instead said she would give me a piece of toast? I had a medical condition which required me to eat often and have food with medication which I explained and they still just said “sorry about that”.

It all was going very well until the very last night (I spent 4 nights at the hostel) where one of the rommies seemed to have arrived drunk accompanied by someone not staying in the hostel. They starting to kick the door and force the door lock. I contacted the staff but received no response. Gladly it ended up being one crazy roomie but it showed the little security and poor control over who enters the building. Apart from the disturbance suffered by several people at 4AM in the morning.
