The Station Inn

The station inn was a lovely pub and the staff were very helpful , the only downside was the beds was very uncomfortable did not sleep well .

The Station Inn when we arrived was exactly as expected, the area around the Hotel slightly run down, the clientele within the bar slight rough around the edges. But once inside the local’s directed me with a smile to check in (I went the wrong way at first) Then from check in to check out the service staff where friendly, professional and very helpful. The room was clean and respectable with tea coffee facilities and the hotel is located 1 Minute walk from the train station which runs to city centre, international airport & NEC. Overall a very reasonably priced, clean pub style hotel. Very happy!

The hotel is very tired and not very salubrious clientele in the pub. Its good value for money beijg close to the NEc Biggest issue though was no pillow protectors although the sheets and pillow cases were clean, it was a bit ick. Staff were nice If you can afford a bit more,stay somewhere else would be my recommendation ors on the staibed pillows and

There was plenty of parking when I checked in, told there was no evening meal and bar staff did not think breakfast was available

Music in the pub was especially loud but it was turned off at closing time. The room was very small but had the basics, coffee TV. The rooms had been fairly recently decorated with new carpets etc.

Only small issue I have is the bathroom as it smelled slightly damp. However everything besides this was good for a short stay, friendly staff, good access, bar next door & friendly staff. Also why does everyone have PG tips? Yorkshire tea for the win

We stayed there on Saturday night had a great time in the pub our beds where nice and clean the staff were fabulous however the room itself need updating for the price we paid as it is spoiling the rest of the experience it’s fine just to get ur head down and aren’t in a couple

I was really disappointed, when we got there we was given a key and due to me having a mobility badge we could park free. Its advertised as doing food, menus were in the room. We were told they don't do food, we asked for an early morning call but that never happened. Will not ho again

Room smelled musty and damp Nighttime noise banging about doors banging in rooms above Kitchen closed for refurbishment I feel I should have been informed about refurbishment before paying to stay as arrived late and ended up no hot evening meal

It was quite worn, matress was sagging, and there was a foul odor. Room was also quite small, but served its purpose for the price.

The room had cobwebs and the bathroom had grime all around the edge of floor and walls. The air filter in the bathroom had grime on it.

Can’t value for money, cleanliness could have been a bit better (looked like a wee stain on side of bed) other than that an ideal find.

The bathroom was clean and seemed ok but the shower dripped constantly and I had to put the shower head on the floor to stop the noise. In addition, the main bedroom area was filthy, with mould/splashes of something unpleasant on the wall by the window, something nasty smeared underneath the desk and a general smell of mouldy wet dog in the room. The pillows were ancient and yellow, when I pulled up the sheet to see the mattress, there was dirt and rubbish underneath. I used towels to wrap around the pillows and used both duvets to avoid sleeping on the sheets. The mattress and bed seemed to have collapsed and you could feel the slats through. The telly worked well though and it was clear they had worked on the place, but the bed, the dirt and the smell of mould are not great. Also, Stechford isn't the nicest area. I arrived late so didn't have the time or energy to complain at the time, but these are things I'd expect not to have to. However, the staff were lovely and the pub looked alright too.

One thing they could improve on is: our window was quite draughty and a cold breeze kept blowing on my face. Also there would be less noise from the outside. But great overall.

It's cheap, you get what you paid for. Only stayed for one night for a show and it did its job! Staff were great, got my deposit back quickly. Room was fine. Looked like mould in the shower. Walls were scuffed, chipped and looked like someone had punched a hole in them. Windows were incredibly grimey. Mattress was very uncomfortable and I couldn't imagine spending more than 1 night on it. But it's a bed and a safe place to stay, that was all I needed.

Room was dirty. Laying on bed meant laying on springs. Owner has refused refund. Couldn't stay in sich a room. Terrible. Went to local Travelodge instead. Positive is Expedia at least tried (unsuccessfully) to help mediate with owner so full marks to them. Definitely concerned about the 5* reviews on here. Are they real?

This is a cheap hotel and you get what you pay for. The room was basic but clean enough and all the facilities worked. My only real negative was that one of the mattresses in the twin room was terrible. It had completely collapsed and was truly uncomfortable. Luckily for me I had booked a twin room for one and the other mattress was OK, but if there had been two of us one person would have been very unhappy come morning. I did report the issue to staff who took note and checked I was OK on the other bed. They did say that they were in the process of replacing mattresses so hopefully this particular mattress is no more.

Basic room but clean and comfortable. thin walls and ceiling so could hear movement, shower and loo from next door rooms.

We were late to our check in due to a delayed flight, and was after the 10pm cut off, but staff was more than accomodating to allow to to check in later than stated. Our stay was very good, the ability to shower if needed was welcome, and able to make our own cup of tea was very much welcomed too, as we only need a room to stay overnight, it was more than fit for purpose, thank you.

It was good value for money. The location was great for me. The staff are really good. Genuinely friendly and helpful. I will stay again given the opportunity.

So I booked this hotel staff was lovely getting it sorted however when I arrive on the night there was someone sleeping in the room I booked there fore never got to stay there and had to cancel all my plans and head home at the very least I was very dissao

Ideal location for both BP Pulse (NEC) and travel into city. . Roughly 10 mins either way.5. Min walk to station . Great Indian restaurant nearby.

Convenient for National Exhibition Centre, good location.

Only average accommodation and area was not overly nice.

Absolutely avoid staying at this place, when we arrive there were people selling drugs outside,mm

The Hotel is what it says on the tin. It is cheap and cheerful clean and friendly. The locals are great. The host is great. My partner lost his wallet, the cleaner found it and handed it in. The area isn’t the best but has everything you need with shops. Train station and a few places to eat. Very easy to check in. Receive deposit back straight away. If you need somewhere to stay for Birmingham airport or a short visit this is perfect. Thank you for our stay.

The is advertised as a family pub with restaurant. Its very noisy with lots of drunk people. They don’t have a restaurant and i was told they had run out of food at 7pm. The rooms are poorly cleaned. Uncomfortable beds with no mattress or pillow protection so sleeping with many peoples bodily fluids. A security deposit is demanded on arrival for any damage of theft. This speaks volumes as to the clientele.
