Wow were we impressed with this hotel. The rooms were clean and updated! The pool area 100% beautiful we were blown away. Very safe we parked our car for a 5 day cruise and no issues at all. We would love to stay here again.

This hotel was very clean and very accommodating. They let us park our car here for the week while we went on our cruise. They also shuttled us to port and back, it took so much stress off my hands for our first cruise.

The room smelled like mold, the AC barely worked and there wasn’t room service unless you requested it - it was difficult to get fresh towels or any towels/trash removed from the room. The pool wasn’t cleaned regularly which meant dead bugs and plant debris in it. The fan in the bathroom didn’t work properly. I wouldn’t stay there again.

We stayed here the night before our cruise. They offered to let us keep our car here during and shuttle service to the boat! For this being our first time in a cruise this was amazing and eased a ton of anxiety.

I was completely turned off by the lack of upkeep of the pool, the mechanics of the door seemed to leave it slightly opened/unsafe, the outdated A/C that didn't work through the night & kept waking us up because we were sweating once it cut off. The staff/Management [Wayne Nigel] lied & said that the pool had been treated for the algae just that morning. But ironically enough the algae was all over the pool and that takes some time to accumulate! But, it just so happened that you treated it that morning?!? Very curious statement..... I took pictures & video of the issues that I found & have returned to check the status of the pool algae. Still very present & untended to weeks later! Not sure why they charge so much to stay there....you don't get your money worth!

Stayed at the Hotel Current for daughter’s basketball tournament nearby. Easy parking and nice pool (no jacuzzi). BIG bathroom area! Nice shower-shower head is on ceiling (rainfall type). Refrigerator and microwave are always a plus-thank you! Busy bar with good pizza right next door. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

The swimming pool was clean and well maintained. The grounds were filled with foliage and blooming plants which made you feel relaxed. The room was clean and it had good juju. All the staff were friendly (thank you cleaning staff for the extra cofee) and knowledgeable about the area.

I had a quiet and peaceful stay. Plenty parking and clean location. The downside for me was the stains on my bedsheets and the smell when I first walked in the room. Overall, the pool was gorgeous and customer service was excellent.

We stayed here while moving my son into CSULB. It's a great location and price for the area. The room was clean and the pool area was very nice. Parking was easy and we felt safe there even with all his things in the car. Definitely a great option for parents or while visiting the school.

Stayed one night. Close to restaurants, shops, and parks. Nice , clean, quiet property. Pool looks inviting. Room looked updated. Carpet was dirty; Long strands of synthetic wig hair was on my socks and blackened them. Sink stopper was broken. Tiny, uncomfortable pillows. Room service delivered by door dash. Dual soap dispenser in shower was unlabeled. Decent for a night.

Convenient and comfortable. The shower was very nice and clean. Double beds are small and I wish there had been more outlets. No outlet at all on the bedside table. It was a bit noisy outside in the morning but I’m sure that depends on the day. Ac worked well but was also very noisy. Overall a good night!

The hotel is nice, My only complaint is the wi-fi does not work well, and the shower head was VERY low pressure. Also, they charge you $15 a night for parking. I didn’t expect that.

This place is cute and modern. The bed was comfy and the water nice and hot. They have a fridge and microwave, but the coffee maker didn't work. The location is perfect with lots of folding options and a straight shot to the airport. Will stay here again.

This is not a hotel - it's an expensive motel. The rooms are nice, but like all MOTELS your door faces directly into the parking lot. Consequently, every car door slam, horn honk or loud person on the outside, you hear on the inside of your room.

The staff and services were great. The room looked modern and clean, but the air conditioner was the main issue. It was super loud, to the point that I couldn't sleep. I tried sleeping with it being off, but too hot and stuffy when it was off. It's like sleeping in a room with a generator.

Best shower I have ever experienced in a hotel (ever). Has that rain shower head from the ceiling. The Best. There was noise from another room where a wedding party was returning to their several rooms and they made noise until we reported them.

Pros: Nice clean modern rooms in older building, exception service from front desk staff. Plentiful parking and free coffee. Good value stay! Cons: Needs more power outlets closer to bed, and pastries with the coffee would be super. Overall a very decent place to stay in this area!

The hotel and staff exceeded our expectations. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The assistant manager, I can’t remember his name, but he was also our driver to the port was very informative. We give this hotel and staff a 2 thumbs up.

Waited in the lobby for 15 minutes before anyone came to the front desk so I could check in. When she did arrive, she was less than friendly or helpful. Our room smelled like weed and the pillows are the size of a saltine cracker and horribly uncomfortable. Other than that, things were ok enough for the 8 hours of sleep I needed. Very overpriced for the quality!

The hotel was safe, clean and conveniently located. I would definitely stay there again! The only experience I didn’t like was when I checked in around 10pm, there were two ladies sitting at the reception area. I was not greeted and had to stand in front of one of them who was cutting paper until she was done and finally looked up at me. I felt like I was bothering her. In contrast, when I went into the lobby in the morning, there was a gentleman and different lady at the desk and I was warmly greeted and asked if I need anything. I was glad to see that maybe I just caught the night reception ladies on a bad day!

Overall this place is nice to stay at and convenient however, check out is at 11 and we had the cleaning lady come in at 9am, we were still sleeping and didn’t hear a knock and got startled that the door opened and she was coming in. An hour later it happened again we heard a knock so we were shouting no don’t come in and they still entered.

Just an overnight in Long Beach to avoid a late night long drive. I was in a room on the second floor at the end of the building. At 2 in the morning multiple women and men stood outside the stairwell, smoking, screaming and yelling at each other. I called the front desk, security failed to quiet them down. I called again nearly an hour later as they only got louder. Nothing was done. The staff failed to reign in the absolutely excessive noise. I complained to the front desk the next morning because i got zero rest. Manager failed to call me as promised. Ive stayed here in the past. Most likely will not again, when the hotel doesn’t care enough to allow its guests to get rest in the middle of the night whats the point? I would NOT recommend.

It is definitely a motel. A car is best to get around and see sights. It’s a place to sleep for the night rather than hang out. That said, the interior of the rooms are modernized, very nice, and very clean. PCH1 on one side, quiet neighborhood on the other.

I’ve stayed twice at this location because of how quiet, safe, and easy it is to book. Its location is convenient. There are many restaurants and stores near by. I’ve booked it when going on cruises. They offer transportation to the port for a small fee. Will continue to stay here.

Great location (5 minute drive to Beach) , price reasonable, pool big and deep but COLD, and no continental breakfast as advertised (just coffee and tea in lobby). We stayed in the double beds but you can’t be taller than 5’5 because your feet will hang over though clean and good size room. We would come back.

Second time staying at Hotel Current. Both times for car shows in Long Beach and the hotel is conveniently located near the venue. Room is spacious with a lot of room for me and my friend. Staff was friendly. Will definitely stay at again.

Very nice location. Everything is really close and convenient. We went to wingstop and Dennys both are within a half mile each way. Too bad we didn't come during some better weather we could have enjoyed the pool. Everyone here is helpful and insightful. They also parking if your taking a cruise for a fee.

It's a nice residential area that is walkable to a few restaurants, pharmacy, and grocery stores. There is ample parking in the area and the CSULB campus is just down the street. Overall, a very nice location. The room was adequate but I think that the price for the rooms was a little high. I would expect something a little better at this price point.

Nice clean hotel that meets the needs. We stayed here due to its proximity to CSULB, and easy walk to campus. Friendly staff, coffee and tea were OK. Pool is OK, nice little pizzeria and Brazilian Steak House in walking distance, but limited other food choices on the premises. No gym but 24 hr is close as well as many other food/ grocery choices. Best rates are ‘student rates’ … friendly staff, clean, gets the job done. Enjoyed our stay.
