At 60 I never thought I'd fall in LOVE Again, A million Thank Yous to all the Smiles, Hello, Warm Welcomes from the STAFF at this Swiss Chalet. I had no reason to tour London. All I needed was within blocks of this Great Place. I'm a better person, then when I arrived 10 days ago. We say in Hawaii , A HUI HO KA KO ( until we meet again) Aloooooooha kamoi kainoakaneaiakala

The staff kept this place very clean. Id say the downfall here is the size of the kitchen. It's super small and challenging to prep or even use the kettle.

The building is beautiful and historic, but service and safety issues overshadowed its charm. Service: My stay began poorly when I was given a room inferior to the one I chose on the Hotels.com app. Staff were skeptical that specific rooms could even be selected via the app and offered no apology. I felt labeled as a "difficult guest" for simply asking for the room I paid for. Photos are expertly taken but make the sleeping areas look much better than reality. Safety: Despite visiting mid-week off-season, noise was a major issue with late-night shouting and long speakerphone calls. An unauthorized person slept on a hallway sofa for two nights; visible CCTV had no impact. As a solo traveler, I’d have valued a dedicated WhatsApp number or direct line to report these safety observations or rule-breaking discreetly. Facilities: Be selective with showers. Some are cramped and smelly. In many, the light sensor is on the wrong side of the curtain, leaving you in total darkness mid-shower—a significant safety hazard. Positives: The common areas are full of history. Tips: Use AI to explore the building's heritage. Management: Add info plaques about the architecture and history; it would transform the stay into an immersive experience rather than just a bed. Also, a direct digital contact for security is essential for peace of mind.

Quiet but convenient location, beautiful building, great chill area. One of the best hostels I've been to.
