Seems like this was a high end hotel at one point. But it’s not kept up well. - tv is sideways from bed. Can’t watch it well. It also has a mess of wires sticking out. - not very quiet. The river view rooms get a lot of noise from the restaurant. Weird noises. - regular helicopters coming and going from the heliport beside Restaurant is weird layout and uncomfortable. But food is very good. - no laundry even though it’s advertised. - not very clean in common areas. - mattress very worn out and sagging. - no regular coffee in room. Only instant coffee View is great. Location is great if you don’t mind the helicopters. But would not stay again.

We didn't like that the hot tub was very small. We always had to ask for things that should have been already in place. The hotel getting the massage booking time incorrect, but assuming I had it wrong. All the staff needed to have done was to check emails etc. The lights in rooms etc. Things were not simple enough.

The bottom line is the Hotel Rafayel is good value for the money in London. However, be ready for its quirkiness. The facilities were generally clean. The room was very large and bathroom was extremely large. Everything was well equipped. They have a very good gym as well as a sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. The hotel is a bit quirky with rather odd decoration which I believe are meant as artistic, bur rather hodgepodge. The Indian food in the restaurant was quite good. There is a small bar and refrigerator in the room with coffee service for the morning. Generally, this hotel was good value for the money and a very good location in London. It was easy to get transportation to anywhere in the city.

The hotel states it is convenient which it definitely is not. The bed was awful and there were helicopters landing on heliport about 100M away all night. No lounge and no proper bar area.

We stayed in emperor suite and whilst it was nice having the hot tub my personal feeling is it doesnt reflect the price its set at, the whole room could do with a makeover so it doesnt feel so dated, the helicopter pad right next door is very annoying which isnt the hotels fault but the sound does get annoying to listen too, the staff are all very friendly and welcoming I cant fault them at all, I would happily stay again but maybe not the emperor suite

Upon arrival, staff were BEYOND helpful, caring. They made me feel like i was the only one there. The room was SPOTLESS, clean as if i was the first person to use it. They were funny, and made sure that my stay was a vacation. They offered to order my dinner and have it delivered. Only problem. Which was my error for not saying anything, was the air condition could of been cooler, but they stated they could've fixed that. Besides that, BEST stay. What impressed me the most was that it being the first ECO friendly Hotel in the UK. That right there was and will make me return back to this establishment. The surrounding area wasn't so safe, but that's something that they can't control. A short drive, literally 15-20 min drive, and your in the central area of shops, restaurants, and lots of parking and not far from Parliament Square and Buckingham Palace. As being a reviewer for multiple things, including food, hotels, movies, toys, etc.. I'm giving this Hotel an 👍 👍 A. EXCELLENT JOB....

The property was a great location on the pier for walking and relaxing. The room very clean although one day was missed it was corrected I was there a week I was charged for breakfast even though the room was over $300 a night would be a con and the property seems to serve as a dual apartment building. Staff and restaurant wonderful! I just don’t think the property is worth the cost. You are able to walk to nearly everything and it was very close to Tooting and Balham.

The hotel is certainly not at its peak. It feels pretty tired and weirdly done out, they haven't really made the best of an amazing location. Staff were very nice and friendly, my room was big with a great bathroom and all very clean. For the price I paid it was a bargain but don't go expecting anything too swish.

Trying to get a taxi was not easy from here and because you're quite a walk away from any stations it did make getting around a little difficult. Hotel itself was nice enough, carpet in the room was not that clean though and the staff were slightly iffy

It is a nice property in Battersea area with Thames River promenade. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Rooms are well maintained and clean. The stay was lovely. So if Battersea is the area you want to stay in, there is no better Hotel.

I work away from home a lot! One thing I will say is I never heard another person not one door slam nothing! Quietest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. However despite being very nice the bathroom was starting to look a little bit tired. Breakfast let it down really, the yogurts were warm and the sausages cool! And someone took my plate the second I put my fork down, wasn’t actually finished but too polite to say anything! All that said, I would stay here again due to the peaceful nights sleep.

The staff are lovely and the room was excellent and the view out on the Thames would of been amazing but the windows were so dirty you couldn’t see anything. It spoiled the ambiance of the room a great deal

We arrived at 6.30 pm expecting to shower before going out, however the room ws so cold we could not do that. The only way to contol the air con was from the reception desk, as the telephone in the room did not work we had to go downstairs to do this. We did not have time to wait for the air con to alter the temp so had to go out to dinner unchanged. When we arrived back the room temp was fine but it quickly dropped and we were cold all night. Again no hope of a shower inthe morning. Could not possibly return and although we were given a £50 reimbursment it was not enough for a thoughly terrible experience.

This property is an excellent price point which is due to it being out of central London. But there are transport links directly outside the hotel that allows you to be within central London in 20minutes. Comfortable sleep and spacious modern rooms.

the room was nice view was terrible as we was placed on ground floor, huge panels people could see into the room so curtains had to be there 24/7. tv was useless, no microwave or kitchen to heat up food or utensils.

Very convenient location, it's not 5 star by any stretch of the imagination , more a good 3 star, lovely bathroom, lights had a mind of their own and curtains didn't keep the light out. Very quiet for London, great views of the river. Didn't see anyone in hotel at all, just reception staff on check in, which was bit eerie.

Weekend stay, bed comfortable, hotel view very nice. Couple of plugs in the wall did not work, no instructions with how to work the touch pad and touch pad next to bed did not work at all. Check out on site 10:30, check out in hotel states 11am, asked me to confirm payment details were correct at check in however not my card, explained this is the companies card through which i paid (Experian) so odd, but fair. Overall not too bad however for the price paid i would've expected a little more care and attention to detail, would like everything in working order. Cold room as heating did not work. Not too bad for a couple of nights, for price paid I would not recommend or choose again.

Treated family members to a stay at the hotel for 3 nights and had to pay a deposit on arrival of 50GBP for them, which would be refunded on my card. I never received it back. My family members thought the stay was so so. The decor is dated, with plastic banners put up. It all was very disappointed. During the last night there was a technical issue setting off tvs in the room, causing a lot of noise around midnight. Someone came to look at it and brought in another guy to try and find the source and silence it. It then happened again around 3am. Same story again, however this time the 2 said staff members were fighting in the corridor basically making it impossible for my family to rest. Upon check out, my brother complained at reception about the incident and was given compensation for the night. At no point was mentioned that the deposit was included in the compensation given back to the guests and not to me as the cardholder. I spoke to the hotel, as I am the card holder for the booking and the deposit, but am not being given my deposit back.

We selected the hotel as it was near to where we would be working, but it was an unexpected surprise as we absolutely loved it. The location, room, food and service were all fab, and would highly recommend it. We can't wait to come back again!

We arrived late after some travel disruption and wanted to order some room service. We ordered a pizza(that's all we could get at the time) and a bottle of wine. It turned up to the room 40 minutes later and was a frozen pizza from iceland. We had also paid for a river view room and got a room facing the other have of the hotel with maybe a 10ft gap in which you could see the river. The following day, the hotel lost power and water while we were getting ready to go to dinner and a show. My wife left with half of her hair curled and I got to have a shower in the sink with a bottle of water. We complained and the manager told us we would get a refund and to contact hotels.com to arrange. The following morning, we did that and headed out to Wembley for an NFL game. On the way, the hotel called to let us know we had missed check out (even though we had another night booked) and threatened to take everything out of our room or we needed to pay for another night. I spent the whole day on the phone between the hotel and hotels.com trying to get it sorted out. The breakfast was also poor. Unbelievable that this place is supposed to be a 5 star hotel. Also FYI, £50/night deposit on arrival, bar shuts at 11, weird signs stating no more than 2 people in a room after 9PM.

Hotel was nice, not ideal location if wanting to explore London as a tourist. Only stayed one night and just used hotel as somewhere to sleep so did not make use of facilities like spa or hotel food. Overall had good experience, only problem was some minor issues in room like not all tv channels working and was not able to turn down room temperature with electric monitor which made for a slightly uncomfortable nights sleep.

The hotel is a 5 star location and the staff are exemplary and the room splendid. Whilst we only had drinks and breakfast at the Banyan on the Thames restaurant - this felt much more 3-4 star than 5
