Very convenient for Old Trafford. Very useful to have 24 hour desk and bar. Lots of local bars and restaurants close by. Breakfast time could be longer at weekends as demand was high & to avoid wait times. Staff could be provided with table clearing trolleys to improve speed & efficiency when clearing tables, instead of multiple trips back & forth to kitchen etc. parking at £7 a day an additional extra. Should be free considering the room rates

Great location on Salford Quays. Handy for restaurants and Media City. Good value parking at £7 for 24hrs. Close to tram to City Centre. Quiet, comfortable room. Good range of food at breakfast. Although breakfast was busy, they warned you what times were likely to be the busiest. Great value overall, for £65 a night you can't go wrong.

Rather tired Holiday Inn, air conditioning broken down, bathrooms clean but again very tired looking, 1 lift not working so 1 remaining took forever. Breakfast choice not great and poor quality sausages, tasteless egg, no tomatoes or mushrooms. Overcooked croissants. One of the worst Holiday Inn’s we have stayed in and many are excellent.

The Salford Quays area is a nice place to stay, parking £10 for 24 hours is a bargain! Tram station is a few mins away. The hotel is located right by the water and we given the option to have a room with a water view which was nice. The room itself was very compact but did t feel overly small. Bathroom was a good size, Dove toiletries are supplied, if you've forgotten anything there is a vast array on offer for free at reception - toothbrush, face clothes etc. The room had the bonus of air con which was needed when we arrived. The bed seemed to be on the smaller side, there was also a sofa bed in the room (609). Didn't have the best night sleep, noise from the lift which is opposite the room door, but the room was very clean. kettle, tea/coffee etc, hairdryer and iron all in the room. Breakfast was extremely busy, the staff worked tirelessy to keep the food topped up. But with it being so busy as soon as an item was replenished it was gone! So breakfast was eaten over several plates! But sadly didn't get a croissant as they were snapped up instally each time! Would I stay there again?? Yes, but in a room with a bigger bed and not near the lift! Breakfast was good quality, staff lovely but stretched at breakfast but were always polite and helpful, check in staff were very helpful and Informative. Location great for the shops, museums, old Trafford and access to the city centre.

Well run hotel. Staff are friendly and professional. Great location for quays and trnsport to city. Property seens to multiple breakdowns with one of the lifts. I suffer mobility issues so its important. Other thann that good holtel.

Perfect location for the IWM North and Coronation Street Experience. Lots of good restaurants nearby and with easy level walking distance. Car park was convenient and reasonably priced. Superior king on 6th floor had good views and very comfy bed and pillow menu. Shower was spacious and powerful. Breakfast was plentiful and good quality.All in all a comfortable stay. Only downside was one of the two lifts wasn't operational meaning a bit of a wait during busy times.

I have stayed at this hotel before with my dog, and I will return. The value is excellent, the rooms are clean and there is no disturbance such as traffic noise. Because I had my dog with me I was not allowed to eat in the breakfast room (of course), but the staff were very willing to bring me my breakfast to eat in the Reception/Bar seating. However one of the two lifts was out of order for the whole of our five day stay. Also Salford Quays is block paved, and outside of the hotel area some of the blocks have moved and are trip hazards. I recognise that it is not the hotel responsibility to make the blocks safe and even to walk on.

Room was dated. Rug dirty and musty. Rugs need replaced and bathroom. Needs an upgrade! Maybe put screens on the window. We tried to open the window for the musty smell to go out, but all we got was mosquitoes in. Front desk experience was good. And location was good. Only one towel was left in the washroom we asked for more. As it was two of us staying…all we kept getting was bathmats. No plug-ins close to the bed for CPAP machines.😡 Overall, not that impressed and would not recommend.

The room was ok for one night. It could have been cleaner - we found a used plaster on the floor at the side of the sofa bed. There was an area on the wall that had been poly filled but not painted. Bathroom ok. Shower lacked oomph. Breakfast adequate but not many options.

Staff on reception were very good. The bathroom sink in our room was blocked and the carpets and the side of the bed were very stained which disappointing as we paid quite a lot for our stay this time.

Enjoyed a one night stay when going to the Coop Live Arena. The hotel is in a nice location in Salford Quays, a short walk from the tram stop, so convenient for arrival and travelling into and across Manchester. Check in was very slick. Staff were friendly, courteous and professional. My room was clean (including the bathroom, which was also in good condition) comfortable (including the bed) a decent size and had a nice view of the wharf. All the expected amenities were provided. I would definitely return to this hotel in future.

Initial room (316) was OK, but no TV remote. Asked at reception, took 20 mins to deliver 2, then TV didn't work, had 2 more staff members try and retune the TV - both telling me that "All the tvs in the hotel untune themselves daily, normally you just hit 3 and they retune"?! Finally we were told that staff were going to move our room, all this time our food we had ordered was on its way, and then arrived as a staff member showed up with an aerial wire instead?! Our food sat and went cold whilst the lead inevitably didn't make any difference, before we were then moved room and could finally sit and eat at gone 10:30 at night. However, the new room (314) was not in a good state, the safety lock on the door was missing, the room didn't look clean at all, dusty skirting boards, hairs on the toilet bowl, dirt in the shower tray. All in all, not a positive stay at all

The hotel is well geared to business travelers. The room was very basic, overall good, although a bit small. Tea and coffee were provide but not bottled water, which was surprising. Also the room did not have a mini fridge. Staff were very nice.

My room was on 5th floor with lift shaft behind the wall. Everytime someone called the lift a compressor cut in for around 10-15 seconds. Obviously this went on until around midnight, I finally dropped off and then at 4.00am somebody called the lift and it woke me up

Good service, great location. Overpriced, but I suppose you pay for the location. The room was tired. and needed an update. The carpet wasn’t clean. The shower was good in the bathroom was clean. No fridge or safe, but I do understand that a room could’ve been requested with these items in. Very basic but okay for a couple of nights. The staff were good and friendly.

Sadly I didn’t have the best experience here. My room smelt like stale cigarette or similar. I also had housekeeping knock on my door (and the whole floor) around 9 asking what time we were leaving! Having an 11am checkout I was very surprised by this and had I been in holiday rather than work trip this would have been quite a disturbance. I was on the 1st floor and had people outside smoking and talking loudly as well as car horns and just general noise. Front desk staff were very nice, no complaints there my review is based on the room, noise and housekeeping.

From check in to check out the staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. After a long day, the reception gave advice on the locale pointing us in the direction of some much needed early food. The bar staff were great when we returned from the match. Breakfast service was great despite a lot of guests but everyone seemed happy. I would recommend this hotel and will book again the next time in Manchester.

We arrived early at the hotel. Reception were very friendly and welcoming. Asked if we were celebrating anything special, it was my birthday. Received complimentary drink of my choice. We hadn't visited the area before and the staff explained how to get to the various points of interest in the area. We had the Cornonation Streeet tour booked and that was in easy walking distance and so was the Man United statium. The location was perfect to local bars and shopping centre. Breakfast at the hotel was good. The lobby area had comfortable seating and was clean and tidy. The bed was lovely and big and comfortable. Overall a perfect stay and would not hesitate to book again. Thank you to the staff.

I arrived early (2pm), staff reminded me that checking in was 3 pm. No worries I'll wait in Reception From 2.30 onward I watched a succession of people check in, none turned away. So at 3pm exactly I checked in and asked how long they would have left me waiting next to the desk if I hadn't re-approached. No-one likes troublesome guests so I guess that's why I got the room with no heating. Too cold to shower, frosty staff. not a great experience... I've stayed at the HI on Liverpool (Road?) about half a mile away recently and cannot praise there staff highly enough.

The fire alarm went off at 4am eventually finding out about 10miutes later it was a false alarm, another guest was able to communicate to us as no members of staff came up to tell us. I went down the stair well and wasn’t able to get down and had to go across the landing on another floor and that’s how I found out. An emergency lighting was hanging off the ceiling. Poor communication and I wonder what would have happened if it wasn’t a false alarm.

Awful service at check in. We and a small queue totally ignored by two receptionists who were doing other things on phones and computer. Couldn’t be bothered to look up and apologise and acknowledge our existence or apologise for the long wait. Otherwise all good.

Great location near Old Trafford and the shops and restaurants of Salford Quay. Walkable to trams if going further into Manchester. So many convenient options around. Breakfast was pretty good and very well managed by the staff.

1 night business trip. Well located and easy to find via Sat nav. Bit of confusion between Holiday Inn Express and actual Holiday Inn which are only half a mile apart. Biusy/slow check in although when I got to the desk it was quick. Others obviously having issues. Reasonably quiet even though my room was by the stairs. Breakfast was terrible. Bad coffee, I’ve never seen sausages like it and the scrambled eggs were watery and tasteless. I didn’t finish it.

I left my samsung ear buds in the room and when i called the next day, they said they wasn't there. Breakfast was a nightmare as there only seemed to be one person topping the food up. No hash browns for 20 minutes and everyone was waiting for bacon and eggs.

Good location, friendly check in, dirty room though, stains and marks everywhere, poor service in the morning and terrible breakfast, very limited choice and very poor quality ingredients. Tables just left with pots everywhere and food on the floor etc. Shame, will not be back.

Adequate and convenient stay to meet our needs. The room was clean and spacious, but the TV was not working when we arrived (no aerial cable). Reported as we went out for the evening, and it had been repaired upon our return, but we still had to tune it in ourselves. Buffet breakfast was limited and a bit disappointing. When it got busy, the lack of staff became apparent, when plates and cups were constantly running out.

This hotel is very dated. The room is very old and decor is old-fashioned. It was very clean though. The breakfast in the morning was actually very poor. However all staff were lovely.
