We booked it for the Coronation street experience, wow we weren't disappointed , just a five minute walk.Also parking and dropping off was easy, multistorey car park two minutes walk.Tram for the city centre just a couple of minutes as well. Well worth it.Staff very friendly helpful, and cheerful.Best I've seen for a long time.If your going for The Coronation Street experience or Old Traford or even into the city you won't be disappointed, you might even bump into some tv stars that stay there.

Booked with friends to see the filming of The Voice in studios at Dock 10, which is literally next door to the hotel, so location couldn’t have been closer. Breakfast was good and all looked fresh. Food in Marco Pierre White’s bar/restaurant on the ground floor (day before) left a lot to be desired and will definitely give that a miss in future, but there are a number of well known eateries in the area. Good link via tram as far as I could tell and parking is readily available in the multi storey next door, with a hotel parking rate for overnight stays. Rooms were clean and had all the basics needed for one night and staff were all welcoming.

Room clean and available well before official check in which was good. The room was a bit too warm for me but I do like a cooler room to sleep in. Breakfast was disappointing though. No bacon available both containers being empty, food tepid to warm but plates cool, toaster more like a warmer. Parking ticket was not correctly validated (discount not applied).

Nice and clean environment. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant staff were particularly very hard working & polite. They replenished well prepared food (breakfast), so no need to hang around for long. They also made sure tables were cleared up once vacated by the guests - so we didnt have to look at dirty utensils while we dined. The only problem we had were the lifts, as they always took longer than expected to arrive.

A great position on the putskirts in Media City. Serviced well by trams. The trams took us to victoria and the AO arena and got us back at 11 :30 pm. No issues. Food accomodation excellent.

Location excellent in media city and adjacent to multi story ( don’t park outside hotel). Room was large and airy and breakfast was excellent. Staff all amazingly friendly and helpful. I’ve noticed a big change in holiday inn over past few years but this is by far the best I’ve used. Thank you.

Room amenities in bad shape: broken remote, safe batteries held in with duct tape (so you couldnt use in case the tape didn’t hold and it lost power), bacteria and tile mold in shower. Great area in walking distance. Decent breakfast.

We stayed here because it is a 2 min walk to the Lowry. The metro brought us straight to the hotel from Manchester Picadilly, just 1 min walk. The reception and bar staff were very friendly. The breakfast was good value for the cost and the breakfast staff were exceptional. The bedroom was extremely clean and tidy and the beds were comfy.

Check in was busy as expected but staff were welcoming (Ellie i think) explained everything we needed. The £50 security deposit was an unwelcome suprise so glad we had an option for that (luckily) the room was ok, tired decor, hair on the floor, bathroom not very clean. 1 tissue in the box and half used toilet roll. Glasses were filthy. The bed was big and comfy ish, very warm in the room and no window to open. The towels were stained and drain in shower clogged. Nothing major that we needed someones attention for as everyone was clearly very busy but for what I paid i was expecting luxury not a semi clean room

Good location with plenty of dining options around. My room was clean, quiet, and had everything I needed. My main complaint is that the bed was very uncomfortable. It felt as if the mattress was long beyond worn out - if felt fairly lumpy. Did not get a good night's sleep unfortunately.

The AC didn’t work on arrival so we reported it. On return that eve they said fixed. It wasn’t but we gave benefit of the doubt a persevered. At 1.30am we moved rooms and all our stuff. Very inconvenient but night staff were excellent and refunded partial room rate for that night which we thought was fair. Just a shame it wasn’t dealt with upon first report. Maintenance cannot have checked properly. However, apart from this which was rectified without quibble the stay was good. Friendly staff, breakfast excellent choice and quality. Good location to many amenities as well.

The hotel looked great from the outside however, when we arrived at our room there was issue with the cistern running constantly. Despite raising this issue twice, no-one came to fix it. The cistern ran continually and noisily all night. It was so loud it kept us awake. We spoke to the receptionist the next morning who shrugged her shoulders and said they’d look into it. Very disappointing.

Really lovely location and helpful staff. Couple of issues with the room though, the aircon/heater in the room was extremely noisy. The TV was wonky and there was only hot water in the bathroom sink tap. Nice breakfast.

Excellent hotel. Would recommend this to anyone. The room was on the 15th floor, amazing views. The room had 2 single beds, tea and coffee facilities, and 2 shortbread biscuits, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, the bathroom was lovely bath and shower in one, had shampoo, conditioner and shower gel all on the wall. Spare towels also. Nice size room, had a table with a swirly chair, and an armchair in the corner, and a fridge which was a nice little bonus. Breakfast was lovely we ordered it the day before which was £10 but if you wanted to buy on the day it was £20, great selection of hot and cold food. All members of staff were lovely check in was simple. We had food downstairs little pricey but what isn’t these days! There was another restaurant upstairs but we didn’t realise this till after and the prices were a little cheaper but all depends what you want. Parking was £11 for 24 hours but we used the tram which is so easy. Would stay here again.

Check in was at 2pm but there were no rooms available. We checked in during the evening and the room was basic. The toilet seat was broken and the room was tired looking. We ate in the restaurant at 8.30pm and I asked for a vodka and Diet Coke and was given a Diet Coke. I asked again for a vodka and was told that it was in the glass but it didn’t seem so as it was only a single. There was actually no liquid in the glass, only ice. The waitress took the bottle of Coke and the glass away and came back with the Diet Coke in the glass and said it had vodka in it . I couldn’t taste any. The meal was very average. My husband had a ribeye steak which was gristly. I had a Malaysian curry which tasted like a microwave meal. We would not eat here again.

The main reasons we booked this hotel was because it is close to the events we booked and was within walking distance of the events. The hotel is very pricey but did was clean, had spacious rooms, and comfortable beds. The hotel has a restaurant which was okay. The day we were leaving, there was a huge marathon with ++ streets blocked off. We asked the reception staff for suggestions on the best options for us as we had to be at the train station fairly early; unfortunately we did not find the reception staff to be overly helpful as they didn't offer any suggestions! Regardless of reception, the hotel is is very nice.

I was a late check in after a very frazzled trip and Jordan was so kind and gracious that it literally brought a tear to my eye. One never knows what one goes through before you meet them but he was obviously an empathetic young man. Thank you.

The staff was welcoming from the front desk to the restaurant. Rooms were clean and spacious. Location was great for us! We stayed to check out Coronation Street and it was a quick walk over to the studio and to pubs and restaurants where we had a pint with a couple of Corrie stars!

As always the staff are brilliant - welcoming, helpful & genuinely seemed pleased to see you! The only thing that lets the hotel down is the food - no wonder Deliveroo does such a roaring trade! I usually have breakfast in my room but this time chose to meet up with a colleague and went for a continental. It was understocked, range limited and the Danish pastries were raw! Not a great memory. Next time we will go out!

Only issue was the breakfast, got there at 9-40 and hot buffet was nearly empty. When asked will some bacon & sausage be coming out I was told no it’s too late ? I appreciate they don’t want waste but everything should be available up till close.

Our stay was brilliant from start to finish. If I had one criticism it would be the Pizzas in the Marco Pierre White restaurant situated in the hotel. They need lessons on Pizza bases. Impossible to cut and too hard at the edges.
