You need to get a tech to look at the elevators no permit posted in one of them . It sounds like bearings dragging before stopping at the forth floor. The elevator is still moving after the door opens.

The room had mold in the bathroom, barely functional showers, peeling wallpaper, a shelving unit that was assembled with the top panel upside down, exposing the unfinished side to whatever guests put on it. Most of the plugs did not work. There were even marks on the wall, that APPEARED to be where pictures or other appliances were supposed to hang. our view included the pool...which had a bunch of renovation debris scattered about in admittedly neat(ish) piles. This is not a negative commentary on the staff - they were fine. it was just ultra not what we'd expect. The errors and problems I saw were *not* new. The peeling wallpaper and mold are obviously something that's been going on for a long time, but the construction/renovation debris had *clearly* been there for a long time. Overall, the hotel was bog-standard made worse by the faults mentioned above. I stayed here because I had to, and I'd do it again, but ONLY if I had to. avoid if...Oh, wait, and the phones in the hotel were down. I mean - not a big deal in our era, but Guys - COME ON.

Hotel in in ideal location close to the highway with many restaurants and destinations within less than an hour in most directions. You can travel to the city, or enjoy the natural areas in the area. There are many parks and shopping centers in any direction you go. Traffic was not terrible. Hotel was clean, but with visual indications that a renovation is due. It was too cold for the pool, but appeared clean. We didn't risk getting into the hot tub as the water was murky. We made a few trips to the fitness area and, although the equipment was operable, is due for maintenance. One of the treadmills malfunctioned and the other needed a belt replacement ASAP. We were happy with the availability of different breakfast items and menus, but don't expect the greatest quality from the food served (not terrible, nor great). We can confidently say we would stay again if many of the issues we encountered would be taken care of.

Nice lobby with bar service at night and small convenience area. We did not try breakfast but it looked good. Rooms were modernized and very clean. I did not use the pool but it looked well kept. parking lot was safe. Great location for parents coming to visit students at Texas State.

Great parking. Need to block off parking for electric cars. Saw a lady with 2 kids trying to charge her car, airport rental only had electric cars, and cars were parked over the lines and she had minimal access. Could use a little maintenance. But overall it was a good experience.

Had a nice stay but unfortunately it was under construction and only one elevator in use. When we arrived there were workers all in the foyer but we understand that concerning renovation. The pool was excellent and clean as well as the 3 rooms we stayed in. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Dining area was clean and great breakfast.

When we arrived around 6pm there was no one at the reception desk. We waited 10-15 minutes before someone finally came up. The entire lobby was under construction with plastic drapes everywhere and a very wrong smell of paint. There was no mention of construction when we reserved the room.

My family and I have stayed at this particular hotel several times, and we’ve always had a good experience, but I was a little disappointed this last time. The fire alarm went off twice, the shower was not working properly, and the pull down shade was broken. I also didn’t like the fact that the pool access was in the parking lot, and you didn’t even need your room card to get in. Anyone could walk right in. I have a special needs daughter, and we only got to spend about 15 mins. in the pool, because a creepy looking guy looked like he was videoing us with his phone. I hope things improve.

The sheets on the sofa bed were disgustingly stained and dirty. They appeared to have large blood stains!! We did not notice until late that evening when we opened it up. The hotel was prompt in bringing new sheets but did not take the others away.

Pretty outdated. This is the first hotel I’ve stayed where there were no usb ports and radio in the room. Coffee and apple juice during breakfast were extremely watered down. Also, the fire alarm went off the first night we were there and both early mornings that we were there ruining our sleep.

The hotel is renovating seceral rooms. There were no black out shades in my room & 1st nite I was awake almost all might by parking lot lights. I ask at breakfast about it...they upgraded my room & let me check it out before I moved in. They apologized for the room the inconvenience.

I liked that this property was close to Gruene Historic events. The hotel was under renovation, the bathroom was dirty ands the beds were not comfortable at all and the linen smelled strongly of bleach. A lot of noise in the hallways as well as in the room next to ours.

My actual stay was great, but the customer service I received afterward made me a huge fan of this Hampton Inn. I stayed one night and had a good experience before heading to a longer term rental. When I got to my long term rental, I couldn’t get my work computer connected to the internet. I tried different ideas for hours. I remembered the business center at our hotel at one point and decided to stop by to ask if I could use their router in the business center even though I was no longer a guest. They let me and were so kind to me and my kiddo. I’m grateful to this Hampton Inn for the kindness they showed me while I was trying to get set up here. I will recommend this as a place to stay when I have guests in town!

I was double billed! I paid for this room through Expedia, and then the Hampton charged me as well! They could not resolve it when I checked out; they promised to talk to the manager and send me an email that they had fixed it. The only email I received from them shows my bill and the room being charged to my credit card. This is absolutely unacceptable!!

Clean. Friendly staff. Access is difficult— enter hotel grounds through Dunkin Donuts entrance from Highway. Parking was sufficient. King suite rooms are large and comfortable.

This hotel is very clean and the beds and pillows were comfortable. Exactly what you expect staying at Hampton Inn. The hotel is a little dated and the breakfast was subpar. Definitely not Hampton Inn standards. This location was on the high end for price. Extra disappointing when breakfast was such a let down.

The room was fine. The couch was shot but the bed was adequate. We got a handicapped accessible room. There were no grab bars in the toilet area and the toilet was very short. There was one grab bar in the shower. Otherwise, it was just a regular room. The breakfast was awful. We didn’t expect anything grand, but it wasn’t even edible.
