Excellent hotel. I have a gluten sensitivity and am also a diabetic on a blood sugar sensor. I am nearly impossible to feed. There were abundant gf options on the breakfast buffet, and I was also able to get a hot gf breakfast prepared for me. The omelets were delicious, and I could get a cappuccino every morning, all included. The wait staff was knowledgeable about gluten and kept me safe. I got a hot stone massage at the hotel spa. It was excellent, and inexpensive. In general, the hotel is beautiful, and architecturally interesting. My room was very comfortable, and the view from my room is in the hotel brochure. I highly recommend this hotel.

We had a wonderful weekend at the Grand Hotel Piazza Borsa. The location is great within old town and we walked to everything. The interior courtyard of the hotel was beautiful and several times we found ourselves just sitting there as a break. The staff was very helpful. Overall, it was excellend

Wir waren 2 Erwachsene und hatten 1 Woche Aufenthalt. Zimmer waren sehr sauber, geräumig und ruhig. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auch Parkplatz für unser Auto war vorhanden. Zentrum und Einkaufsstraßen sind zu Fuß sehr leicht erreichbar.

Was a good hotel, nice building but the service and the breakfast was not good. Totally empty at the breakfast and no people there, we asked to have the car until 17:00 the day of checking out. Was still half empty at the parking space when we got our car back at 16:00, they refused to let us have it there until 17:00 even though the price of the parking was €18 and lots of space.

Nice room. Very quiet. Good location in the old city. Staff was friendly and professional. Good spa treatments. Main complaint is that the food was terrible. Even the coffee was undrinkable. I expect more from a 5 star hotel. We tried room service one day and the toast was burnt, coffe stale, etc. But it's a good choice for a Palermo base camp if you go out to eat.

Vi fandt gamle underbukser under sengen, en lampe virkede ikke - og bruseren var i stykker. Hotellets manager var ubehøvlet og ikke særlig serviceminded. De glemte bl.a. at fortælle, at man skal bruge kontanter til taxaerne, hvilket blev lidt hektisk i lufthavnen, da man skulle skynde sig at finde en hæveautomat. Bartenderen i baren havde aldrig hørt om en Espresso Martini, og vi prøvede morgenmaden en enkelt dag, som var super trist og kedelig.

Beautiful old building with lovely inner courtyard with a fountain. Roof could be drawn back. Very central location easy walk from the station which was useful as we arrived by train in the evening from Naples. Large, clean, comfortable room. Very good breakfast. All at a very good price.

Beautiful hotel in old stock exchange building, very convenient to explore historic Palermo on foot- just off the main pedestrian steet with lots of restaurants. Rooms are spacious and clean. A few items lower my rating- there was no toilet paper in the room on arrival had to ask for them to provide. The room was freezing cold even with air conditioning turned off cold air came through vents - we had to open windows but had to close at night or it would be too noisy. Steer noise in evening but it got quiet by midnight. Also internet was not available in the room even though we made multiple attempts to log in- no signal- had to sit on a chair down the hallway or in lobby to get internet.

The staff was outstanding! Would stay there again if we’re in the area. The things that we didn’t like were: The speaker in the bathroom was very annoying. Anytime you had the television on It was blaring in the bathroom. Bathtub was probably 6 inches taller than most bathtubs and very dangerous. There was a half wall for the shower portion, but it did not have a curtain so it was always water on the floor when you finished. The bathtub/shower was very dangerous and slippery. Actually my girlfriend fell the first day there getting out of the shower/bathtub very slippery floor in the tub and getting out of the tub on the marble floor. Also the bathtub drain needed to be cleaned because as you were showering, the water could run run out quick enough so you would be usually standing in 2 to 3 inches of water every time you took a shower. The breakfast area was unbelievable. The only negative was that the eggs even though we’re in a warmer they were always cold! The staff in the breakfast area were unbelievable. Also like to mention that the staff that made up the rooms were very friendly and did a very good job. We would stay there again.

Beautiful Atrium in the middle, which my room face on to so I had no natural air or light. Service was ok and there is NO parking. I didn't choose the hotel so that was fair enough but the streets are a bit of a maze if you're using satnav. Was it worth the money? Not really if I'm honest, but if you're looking for a bit of faded glory from Palermo's past I thought it was decent. That's why I've given it 4/5 stars.

The hotel is definitely faded grandeur. The best thing about it is its excellent location. Room was clean and bed comfy but every day the shower was only ever lukewarm; the door to my room didn't shut properly from the outside without being slammed very hard several times so in fact someone in housekeeping hadn't closed it properly. Staff are patchy - charming younger guy who was 5 star but others gruffer. Breakfast coffee wasn't great. Better to go to cafe Martorana few steps away. Too many big American tour groups.

Nice hotel, friendly staff. The room was very small and the beds were very uncomfortable. I’d say old mattresses. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic with so many desserts and healthy options including freshly squeezed orange juice. Dinner was great and beautiful live piano kept us entertained in the evening. The location is 100% perfect. Great overall experience except for the beds in my room.

Not the most helpful reception , didn’t get platinum perks at all .we asked for a late check out since they didn’t upgrade we assumed we would get at least this perk but no they requested 125,- $ for that which we payed. At one point receptionist ladies even wanted to see my expedia level which i showed but still they didn’t care. Other than that hotel is an average 4 star keep expectations accordingly.

The only main issue was the bell man (porter ) in the day. He was extremly rude not pleasant at all all my encounters with him. Rude to the taxi driver just dumped our bags in front of the taxi and general antipatico. I also gave him a tip. Rare in italy and he was not thankful at all. This is in contrast to the nighttime bellman/porter vialegge who could not have been more polite and more helpful

The property was good and location convenient. The WiFi did not work in the room so I had to work in the lobby area. While there I was having a drink and working when the waiter came shouting at me. I tried to explain that I had to check email and make calls and he told me go to go to my room because I could not be drinking a beverage that was not purchased onsite. I told him to charge me for a drink so I could continue working. I have never been spoken to in this manner by hotel staff. Uncalled for and completely unprofessional.

Given that it was my first time to Palermo, I didn't know what to expect regarding our accommodations at the Grand Hotel Piazza Borsa. Upon entering the lobby, we knew it was going to be indeed "grand" and live up to its name. The staff was both helpful and friendly and our deluxe double rooms were much larger than one normally encounters in Europe. The hotel is perfectly situated in an area where everything is convenient - from restaurants and bars to shopping and major local attractions. We had a minor maintenance issue during our stay, but it was promptly repaired as soon as we alerted the front desk. More importantly though, this is a hotel where the staff is willing to go above and beyond. When we encountered an issue with our rental car while parking to check in, the hotel General Manager Signore Tintori personally intervened on our behalf, especially valuable since none of us spoke Italian. He quickly diffused the situation and alleviated a problem that could have escalated. He even took the time to follow up the next day to ensure everything was in good order. We couldn't have managed without his assistance. Without hesitation, we would return to this property when visiting Palermo again.

Hotel location was terrible at night after 12:00am we couldn’t sleep until 4:00am Behind hotel was some kind of Pub too much noise music until 4:00 am and hotel couldn’t do anything we stayed 4 nights and was nightmare only manager last day came to us and offered to change the room and we said no thank you. You should of offered on the first day not the last day.

Perfect hotel, lovely and clean. Rooms amazing, really large and quite. They had a pianist in the lobby to stop and have a drink which was nice. The area of the hotel is perfect walking distance to all attractions but also can get to all the main bus route in a 2 min walk. Streets surrounding hotel is great for nightlife, loads of bars and restaurants but you can't hear it in the hotel which was great.Also lots of secruity as the bank is opposite so there were always people from the army around the area. I felt safe being by myself late at night as it's always a busy area. Only suggestion would be skip the breakfast and go to the bakery round the corner, great coffee and pistachio croissants!

The building is a former bank and beautifully redone with spacious common areas. It is centrally located in the old part of Palermo with all tourist and amenities within easy reach. The staff was generally helpful. Dinner at the dining room, which we very much wanted to try, was sadly not good. my appetizer was I think spoiled and inedible. Really shame, because again the space is lovely and really deserves a better kitchen. We would definitely stay here again, but probably eat at one of the dozens of restaurants nearby.
