Century Hotel was an ideal place to stay in Kyoto. Facilities were very good and staff were resposive to our needs. Theclocation was excellent. We didn't like having to pay a cover charge to have adrinkmin the main bar though.

This hotel had impeccable service, luxurious rooms, great amenities, and a convenient location just steps from Kyoto Station. The in-room massage was also excellent, with an incredibly cheap price. Make sure Google Maps gives you the directions for leaving from the north side of the station. It's only about 200m/yards if you exit that way (towards Nidec Kyoto Tower). If you exit from the south side of the station, it'll take you a weird way over a bridge and through alleys.

Very convenient to Kyoto station. Well cared for older style hotel with attentive front desk. Restaurants are designed for lingering; complete breakfast buffet with Japanese and western offerings and a business traveler’s bar. Many nearby restaurant/bakery options in Porta shopping center at the station. Excellent internet speeds.

Upgrade to a non smoking room that stank of cold tobacco to a nicer room where my daughter had asthma attack found that behind desk was so filthy lots of dirt accumulated over months or years dirty facemask and other plastics. Hair all over the room which I didn’t see when checked in Also the bathroom really stank of damp and sewage I reported it they ask me to send photos to their email I told them I was going to review and make a complaint and they said sorry we can’t do anything I am not happy this was supposed to be a VIP pack

The breakfast was excellent, wide range of Japanese and Western items - which was also welcome for a vegetarian.. The staff were always helpful and professional too, taking bags before checkin and after checkout. In the breakfast buffet / restaurant they were welcoming and really organised. The location is fantastic, because you will be right next to Kyoto station - convenient for sightseeing, and any trips further afield Also, despite our room facing train tracks it was so quiet. The only reason for not giving the hotel 5/5 was the cleanliness and decor in the room. Upon arrival we noticed marks on bathroom attachments, and I found an earbud and nail clipping! The staff cleaned and replaced everything quickly. But, likely in room carpet needs a deep clean or replacing. The lobby and corridors are very clean and expansive, so bedrooms should have the same level of care and attention.

其實我不討厭老舊的Hotel. 看得出這家Hotel 以前的輝煌。但當我打開房門聞到的是霉味到，這就無法接受了。飯店的位置蠻好的，離車站很近。拉大行李也沒問題。就出JR站往京都戲院的方向走。過馬路就到了。我後來看到 Hotel Granvia, 我想下次我會住那裡。不過日本飯店的稅收的太高了，最好是住民宿吧。

We loved the convenience of this hotel being across the street from Kyoto Station. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable. We didn't enjoy how small and cramped the room was. The ceiling is low in several places which wasn't ideal for my fiancé. There is a large step up into the shower room and a step up into the toilet room. The lighting in the bathroom was not helpful for makeup.

The shower was so bizarre. Out in the open with no privacy other than shaded glass. But getting into the shower was zero privacy. Weird. We decided not to stay another night because of the shower. But other than that very clean and very nice staff.

Received a room upgrade, so what we stayed in would not be typical. Clean and well appointed. The window into the shower (from the bedroom) is always a weird choice, but there is at least a blind. Fancier than what we expected but very appreciated. Dining options on site too expensive for us. Staff were very professional and courteous.

The hotel was clean and the breakfast was outstanding. However, the staff is very process driven instead of results driven. We arrived at 2:40pm and had to wait for 20 minutes to check in because “check in time is 3pm”. On New Year’s Day we did not have reservations for the restaurant and. Everything in town was closed. We asked for room service or food “to go” and there was no flexibility. They should have an option for those who do not have a reservation. The hotel is great when everything falls in line with the expected, but they extremely rigid in the policies and do not accommodate when faced with unusual circumstances.

Registration process used is unnecessarily time consuming. The hotel staff are friendly and pleasant, but most only have a rudimentary understanding of English. The hotel itself is clean and well maintained. The bedroom was on the small side, especially around the bed. There are no English language tv channels- in particular, no BBC or CNN news channel which I find a little poor.

素泊まり利用だったので、多くのサービスを受けたわけではなかったですが、事前の問い合わせ対応や当日の受け答えなどにはかなり満足でした。唯一残念だったのは、チェックインで画面操作を求められましたが、そのタッチペンの反応が悪かったり、入力すべき事項がやや多かったりしたところです。セルフチェックインならともかく、従業員の方にサポートしてもらいながらだったので、この仕組み自体がもったいないな、と感じました。

Well located near the Kyoto station. Surrounding is quiet and easy to move around. Experienced front desk service team. Shout out to Mr Konda and Ms Zeng Ping that made a very positive impression to my partner, patiently explaining and sharing detailed information of the restaurant selection, direction guidance, places of interest etc. Their level of English proficiency is above average which is a big comfort to English speaker. Room aspect, open wardrobe is small ( can’t hang too many clothes) limited space in the room. Toilet and shower is of good size. Replenished water daily which is very much appreciated. Safe box, fridge and kettle available. Room slippers provided. Comfortable bed and pillows. Nice and cozy with excellent service from the hotel team.

京都駅から徒歩3分なので、京都市内の様々なエリアへのアクセスが良かった。チェックインもチェックアウトもスムーズに行えました。宿泊者数も多いとは思いますが、ロビーも広々としていたので、雑多な印象がなく、心地良かったです。スタッフの方の接客も丁寧で、こちらのホテルを選んで良かったです。喫煙所もエレベーターからすぐの場所にあったのが有り難かったです。

Kyoto Century Hotel is right next to the Kyoto Station. There were plenty of restaurants and shops to choose from. The hotel staff were friendly and the hygiene amenities were available right next to the elevator. Air conditioning worked great.

One of the best places we stayed at during our trip. Very convenient location and facilities. Breakfast buffet was mixed for us: some in our family enjoyed it while some didn’t. One family member also had an allergic reaction because of poor labeling or cooking practices (maybe they reused utensils).

The food was not good . I think they need to reconsider hiring people with English knowledge ability and also change their chef . He/she is not able to use additives and salts . Good material with no taste and not internatinal choices . Mainly for locals taste . Otherwise the hotel was excellent
