I like staying at the Coral Sands because of its convenient location. The staff are lovely and super helpful. I think the parking is a bit tricky but that is not an easy fix so if it takes me 3 goes to reverse out then it takes that many.

This motel room was booked as a basic overnight stay. But it wasn't just basic, it was awful. Opening the door, I was immediately hit with a smell like Tom cat pee. It got worse the further into the room I went. The bathroom door sticks, and the fluro lights in the room are all askew. The downlights needed bulb replacement, but oh the smell. I had trouble falling asleep due to how bad the smell was, and then when I woke during the night having an asthma attack, the smell reintruded on my consciousness and I couldn't get back to sleep. I would have asked for another room, but apparently they were booked out. Was this the only smelly room? I don't know, but I won't be staying here again. As an aside, the restaurant attached, food was ok, prices were about 40% higher than on the website.

The room was clean and tidy, bed was comfortable. Walking distance to all restaurant's, everything you needed. Owner was lovely, explained everything and where to go for meals. The property is old but very comfortable, would go there again.

Very dissapointed. Booked in for 3 days left after 1. Room smelled like urine and had to have windows open overnight which was not the safest option. Room sercice got new towels but bed not made and rubbish not taken out. Even though it was very inexpensive basic cleanliness and freshness was not acceptable. Could not get refund.

Beware that Travelocity's website is in US dollars. We got caught out thinking it was in AU dollars. The motel was good and although the bed mattress was dated, it was still OK. The motel is very central.

Great staff, value and location. Sadly a few minor things to note: The shower barely got hot enough, You couldnt close the bathroom louvres so it got quite cold it there and the queen side bed is pretty well worn out and sags in the middle.

Dated but ok for a convenient one night stay with choice of numerous restaurants nearby. After seven years in boarding school and two years in the Army, I am not the fussiest person around so for me as a solo traveller this trip, it happily sufficed but doubtful that I would bring the bride of 54 yrs along. Can’t speak for other rooms though.
