The bed was very comfortable. The building is very old, but it was clean. There was not a coffee pot in the room, but there was at the front desk. I liked that the windows faced the patio, but you could close the shutters and make the room very dark if you wanted to sleep in. There was a ceiling fan and the AC cooled the room very well, which was nice since it was hot outside. We only had one minor problem, and that was that the sink sprung a minor leak the morning we left that I had to tell staff about. The room was a good value and conveniently located near a lot of attractions.

Ich habe die Unterkunft aufgrund der vielen positiven Bewertungen gebucht. Die Lage zum French Quarter war top, nur wenige Gehminuten. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Leider war das Zimmer nicht gut. Das Fenster war mit Holzläden verdunkelt und nicht zu öffnen, somit kam keinTageslicht oder Sauerstoff ins Zimmer. Der Teppich war sehr schmutzig, so dass man beim Barfuss laufen, schwarze Füsse hatte. Die Klimaanlage hat den Raum zwar gekühlt, aber es war immer zu hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit und ein feuchter modriger Geruch im Raum. Wenn man das Zimmer betreten hat, lief man wie vor eine Wand. Die Lüftung im Bad hat auch nicht geholfen, denn sie hat nicht entlüftet sondern geheizt. Außerdem hat ein Schrank für die Klamotten gefehlt, bei der hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit hab ich die Sachen auch im Koffer gelassen, da sie sich am nächsten Morgen immer klamm angefühlt haben. Der Aussenbereich war wiederum ganz nett.

We loved this hotel! There were four of us in a room with 2 double beds, it was a little small but we loved that. We loved everything about this hotel! Loved the fact that there was locked gated parking. And we could walk 2 blocks to bourbon street. It was a perfect stay! The staff was super friendly and so sweet! We will definitely be back!

We stayed for an extended weekend and the experience was amazing! The staff were so sweet and accommodating. A few pointers to take away for this property: it is ADA accessible. While you do have to pay for parking it is onsite and secured with a gate each night (gave us a lot of peace of mind) just don’t lose the keys or the code they give you! They don’t do room service daily but if you need anything just ask! It’s also about a 10 minute walk to bourbon. Overall, it was a 10/10 for me. Loved the style of the property. Loved the staff and will be staying here again for our next trip to the area!

My check-in was after-hours, but it was no problem. I called to say I would be late, and they simply requested my email address to send me detailed check-in instructions. And when I finally did arrive, I had everything necessary to get on the property, into the house, and into my room for the night. They only requested that I get to the office early in the AM to complete the paperwork. Only negative was that it seems they no longer offer breakfast, and it's apparently been that way since Covid.

The room was really dirty- dust piled up on the lamps, lampshades, ceiling fan. The bathroom was really run down, worse than any even bathrooms at any campsite I've stayed at. The bed was not comfortable. The room reeked of cigarette smoke. I set my hand on the wall and there was a random gooey spot left there? To top it off, my wife found dried orange/brown chunks on the comforter (likely dried vomit from a previous guest). They did refund our stay, but I wouldn't stay there again if I was paid.

I thought it was a bit overpriced for the room. It reeked of cigarettes even though their policy says no smoking. Woke up with a horrible cough and scratchy throat after sleeping in the room because of the strong smell. I felt like I slept in an ashtray. Definitely expected it to be cleaner, the lobby was extremely fresh when we walked in but the room was definitely not. We were there for only one night thankfully! Won't stay unless everything else is booked. Check in was easy and they accommodate if you can't physically be there to check in which was nice. It was good for one night. Didn't sleep that great but it was an experience at an old New Orleans original guesthouse.

This hotel was terrible especially since it was over 500 dollars for one night . We could not check on at 3pm after being told our room would be ready then , bugs in the bathroom , dust falling off the ceiling fans . I would never recommend this hotel .

The first room was on the end of the hallway & very small. The guy at the front desk was very helpful & offered us the bigger room next door. The worse part of our stay was both rooms had roaches. We didn’t ask for a refund, just decided to hatch it out due to we only stayed 2 nights.

The property itself is well situated. Only a short walk from all the attractions with a hop on hop off bus stop outside. Staff were friendly and helpful. If I was to be critical I’d say that our room was dirty. There was thick dust on the ceiling fan and skirting boards and there was a dirty ingrained imprint of the bath Mat in the bath. Towels were well worn. Also, despite being advertised as daily housekeeping, our room wasn’t attended to at all during our stay. There was still food and drinks from the previous guest still left in the fridge!

Desparately in need up basic maintenance and a deep cleaning. Holes in walls, peeling paint, general grossness around the shower, piles of dust on the base board modeling and ceiling fan. No window, the window was actually boarded shut. AC worked great. Bedding was very comfortable. Friendly staff. Good location.

Es un lugar muy bien ubicado, puedes ir caminando a todos lados. El personal es amable y accesible. El lugar se ve bonito. La habitación en la que estuve no me gustó, estaba en el patio, estaba deteriorada, a/a olía mal, wc estaba despegado, la cortina de ducha fea, piso mojado todo el tiempo. Muy humeda. No limpian la habitación todos los días, aunque te preguntan si necesitas algo, lo solicitas y no hay seguimiento. No hubo ni papel de baño. Si no haces check in personal, revisa tu correo o solicita indicaciones específicas. Porque me llegó a los 2 días por Expedia...

The check in process was a dream. The women working was a sweetheart and recommended a few places for us to eat. The room was a nice room, however I would ask for one in the back. Was a lot of road and sidewalk noise. Was awakened at 4am the first morning from people wallking buy and talking. The toilet seat didn't fit the toilet but it was workable. All in all it was a nice place.

Definitely that small room feel. Sidewalks were a little rough but security was great, I felt completely safe. This gem is definitely older but it adds to the charm. Not your typical hotel but if you're looking for that southern hospitality and charm; this is it.

Showed up and there was no one there, called multiple times and straight to voicemail. Place is a house not a hotel and located down a dark alley to which i found out when i showed up around 8pm and no one was there. My phone died and i had to walk around at night to find a different hotel because i had no way to get in here. Terrible location, Terrible service, terrible guest service system. Overwhelming horrible

Place is a house not a hotel and located down a dark alley to which i found out when i showed up around 8pm and no one was there. My phone died and i had to walk around at night to find a different hotel because i had no way to get in here. Terrible location, Terrible service, terrible guest service system. I needed a one-night stay in New Orleans as a female solo traveler. The staff accommodated my need to leave my bags, called me the moment my room was ready for an early check-in I was lucky enough to get, and stayed nothing but kind. I had an allergy issue that arose, and the manager prioritized my needs and thoroughly triple-checked for cleanliness. I was offered a personal cell number for any needs as I was traveling alone, and feel nothing but welcomed and considered as family. This will be at the top of my list of places to stay when I return. The historic feel of the building, my large patio, the location, but most importantly the feeling of care and safety was unmatched. Shower did not work in our room and when we spoke to the manager, told “how” to fix it ourselves, which didn’t work. Starting on the 2nd day, began asking for additional help with it. Have called multiple times since returning and no response whatsoever. Ended up going 4 days without showering because of lack of customer service. Found an ashtray with cigarette butts in a drawer. Incredibly poor service (that we’re STILL trying to get some sort of response about a week after checking out). Avoid at all costs.

I love this place. Teisha and Yari ( i know im spelling this all wrong) were THE BEST!!! Everyone was so helpful. This place it the cutest!!!! We had a tiny mishap and Tiesha gave us her personal number to make sure it was taken care of when we got home. They took even made us a list of the best restaurants in New Orleans. We will be back for Mardi Gras...we want our same room lol. Thank you all for making my sister's birthday weekend THE BEST!!!

Got to the hotel late (after calling ahead and confirming a 2 bed unit for 4 adults with a late arrival.) We were given a single king room for 4 adults and when I called the emergency line for help she refused to do anything. Stated she didnt come in until the next morning and she "Didnt know what I wanted her to do." When I told her I wanted a place to sleep she said "I dont get in until 10 so.."

Very disappointed in my experience with this hotel. I booked our 1 night stay a year in advance because I knew it was a busy weekend that would sell out. I have never had an issue using this app. We traveled 1500 miles by car to stay in this city. Our other 2 hotels booked this same weekend were flawless. When it came to our last finale night in New Orleans I called the hotel 3 hours prior to Check in to ask if our room would be available for an early check in. I had 2 emails stating our reservation was booked and ready for our arrival. When I called the receptionist stated there was no reservation. It was confirmed by the app that my reservation was valid. The hotel tried to blame Hotels.com for canceling my reservation but never contacting me. They then sent me to their sister hotel which uncharged by $600 just because the whole city was sold out. The hotel staff were very kind. But the hotel was extremely outdated and lacking any amenities. There were no towels,dirty fridge and dust all over the fans and picture frames. The Guest house hasn’t responded to any of my calls or emails. I will be proceeding to further my case and get a reimbursement of the $600 up charge. I was told by numerous people this happened more then once during this weekend. I can’t help but feel I was scammed. I hope they do better at accommodating their future guests or they’re going to lose major reviews and business.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at New Orleans Guest House. It truly felt like we were at home. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the lovely Teisha! You could feel the joy exuding from her which made the experience amazing from the start. We were introduced to the staff and told about the surrounding area. I loved the rustic charm. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and I will definitely be staying here every time I return! Thank you for such a great time in the big easy!

#1 was the staff here are so kind and helpful. Each and every person made us feel so welcome and helped us navigate the area. #2 the area! All the best places are walkable from the hotel. Yet you are not in the center of the partying. We loved everything about our stay and will come back!

I’ve stayed here twice and the staff is extremely friendly. It’s about a 5 min walk from bourbon street. I didn’t feel unsafe walking to and from and I didn’t walk back to the hotel until around 2am. The staff is very helpful.

We had a great time at this hotel! The staff, location and room was really nice. Very convinient location.The french quarter with bars and restaurants is a short walk from the hotel. Teisha was awesome and we already miss her!

I like the parking area was gated. I reserved fairly last minute I was glad they were able to accommodate me. For the price the room was adequate ( small boutique type)and close walking distance to the French quarter . I would stay again if passing thru. Thank you

The New Orleans Guest House is the perfect home away from home! From the kindness of the helpful staff, to the perfect location and to the beautiful vintage New Orlemas decor inside of each room and the hallways. The hotel has a beautiful courtyard in the center with a beautiful vibe but the perfect amount of privacy. They also have parking onsite as well although we primarily walked during our 5 day stay here. There is a trolley line not even 2 blocks away so that was also convenient. Special Shoutout to Teisha AND Paris, they both helped us before we arrived until the day we left. From local food recommendations, to helping us when our booking had messed up and we were even able to stay in the best room with a balcony!! This place will definitely be our go to stay in New Orleans from now on and you should give them a try as well. You will love it here! Lastly, I love history and culture so knowing this is housed in the oldest African American neighborhood in not just New Orleans but the United States was the cherry on top.

Historic New Orleans home turned into a boutique hotel with 18 rooms. Excellent staff on site around the clock and only a 2 block walk from Bar Tonique at the edge of the French Quarter. Great location for a short walk to either Bourbon or Frenchmen :)

We loved this hotel! There were four of us in a room with 2 double beds, it was a little small but we loved that. We loved everything about this hotel! Loved the fact that there was locked gated parking. And we could walk 2 blocks to bourbon street. It was a perfect stay! The staff was super friendly and so sweet! We will definitely be back!

The bed was very comfortable. The building is very old, but it was clean. There was not a coffee pot in the room, but there was at the front desk. I liked that the windows faced the patio, but you could close the shutters and make the room very dark if you wanted to sleep in. There was a ceiling fan and the AC cooled the room very well, which was nice since it was hot outside. We only had one minor problem, and that was that the sink sprung a minor leak the morning we left that I had to tell staff about. The room was a good value and conveniently located near a lot of attractions.

The manager was amazing! She gave me a bunch of delicious off-Bourbon Street food recommendations! I loved that they had parking and locked the gate at night. It's an older hotel, but the hospitality more than makes up for that!

My check-in was after-hours, but it was no problem. I called to say I would be late, and they simply requested my email address to send me detailed check-in instructions. And when I finally did arrive, I had everything necessary to get on the property, into the house, and into my room for the night. They only requested that I get to the office early in the AM to complete the paperwork. Only negative was that it seems they no longer offer breakfast, and it's apparently been that way since Covid.

Definitely that small room feel. Sidewalks were a little rough but security was great, I felt completely safe. This gem is definitely older but it adds to the charm. Not your typical hotel but if you're looking for that southern hospitality and charm; this is it.
