While these hotels in historic buildings may not be elegant like some upscale downtown properties, this inn proved to be a good place to get a comfortable night's sleep and a shower to prepare for busy days of activities. The location is great, right between the bustling area of Bourbon Street and Frenchmen Street which has places to hear quality live music, and also within a short walk from the French Market and Moon Riverwalk. And, it is just far enough from the crowds and surpringly rather quiet. Also among my activities were the Jazz Museum and the historic Ursuline Convent Museum, great places to take in history. The room has a coffee maker, but for a great breakfast, try the Croissant D'or coffee shop and patisierrie a block or two west of the kitty corner from the Inn at Ursulines and Royal.

I wouldn't come back. It's literally a nice room but coffee maker didn't work, couldn't check in for 2 hours

The place is in an excellent location, but I found the shower small and a bit dirty. There was a lot of hair in it and flies coming up the drain.

Stayed 3 nights

The room was very clean, stayed for three nights. Service came in everyday to tidy up. NO ONE ON SITE. Arriving after my plane ride covering over eight hundred miles, there's a lobby lit up but a sign on the door saying no one was working the lobby. I had to call the phone number listed for someone to come by. They did, I had to download an app to unlock the door. They provided me with a key, but it only locked the outer gate. Make sure your phone is always charged or you'll run the risk of being locked out. I got the king size room which was good, HOWEVER the water pressure in the bathroom sink was very low. Functional but barely. The shower was SMALL, I couldn't raise my elbows to shoulders before hitting the sides. Also with poor water pressure. There was a hatch in the ceiling with a loose plywood, I was told it was for roof access for maintenance. It creeped me out, but I've probably seen too many horror films, lol. Please note the rooms have NO FRIDGE OR MICROWAVES. So, no heating up leftovers. Staff was very attentive, though. And the location a block from Bourbon Street and three blocks from the French Quarter. So, if you'd like a different kind of stay, recommended.
