We were very pleased with our stay at Kasa Lakeshore. The building and our room exceeded our expectations. The location is perfect for access to much of what Chicago has to offer by way of walking and the public transportation system. Our only frustrations were: 1. In the description of the property it stated there was onsite parking for a fee with the possibility of restricted or no access due to construction. When I received the check in confirmation it stated we should be able to get into the garage. When we arrived snd were ready to park, the garage was not accessible. This was disappointing and for the moment frustrating, but the SpotHero link was very helpful and we were able to get into a garage about a block away. I would suggest if you have to park off-site, you may want to drop your belongings off at Kasa so you don’t have to carry them a distance. 2. It was understood when I made the reservation that we may hear some intermittent construction noise. We checked in later day on Wednesday and were gone from early morning to late night on Thursday and didn’t hear anything. Unfortunately, early Friday morning, we were awakened to a symphony of jackhammers! It was so loud and disruptive, we couldn’t ever hear each speak or think clearly to get our things together and get checked out. I did report this to Kasa immediately and I was credited back a days charge for the room.

This was straight up the cleanest room we've ever stayed in. I kept asking my wife if she thought anyone had ever stayed in the room before - was this newly renovated? I don't know, but it was truly spotless. With the full kitchen/dining and living space, it felt a lot more comfortable than staying in a hotel. If you're traveling with kids, this set up is ideal. The bedroom doors are heavy and sealed off any chatter we'd usually hear from the teens. We also really enjoyed that the large floor to ceiling could safely open (a crank swung out the screened window about 6 inches) to let fresh air in. Overall, our favorite place we've ever stayed at in Chicago.

The room was lovely but don't expect a view of more than a parking garage. Not an issue for me. The issue was the construction work being done during the stay. It was jack hammering from before 8 am and on. The final day it started at 7:30 am. I just packed up and left. It felt like it was the room next door. That would have made my stay much more pleasant without the noise. I had to work at a coffee shop due to the noise. Parking was not available near place due to construction. Parked walking distance but no elevator at garage so had to haul suitcase up and down stairs. The tv didn't work when I arrived. They fixed the next day- I think battery remote. Not a big deal but tv would have been nice the first evening.
