Asperion Hotel

1. Finding the hotel was problemátic as visually it looked like just another house and the sign was half hidden from the road by a large hedge . Parking was £10 per day (not previously mentioned) 2. Staff were friendly and helpful 3. Accessibility would definitely be a problem on the upper floor for elderly and infirm 4. Room was scrupulously clean- every thing worked first time including Wi-fi 5. Room was stuffy and hot with no temperature controls- although I did use the fan that had been stored on a high shelf 6. Hotel was easy walking distance to Guildford town centre (15 minutes ) 7. Room was rather small with little storage space- I was fine for a weekend stay

The parking was not good value at £10 a night so for two nights £20 is too much . Also for the same price no water or replenished shower products provided . This is not good value as the second night is the same price ( no discount for additional nights) so should have the same benefits . Otherwise everything was good .

Nice breakfast for 12 pounds I was never told until the next morning that there was a charge for parking 10 pounds . Very clean, quiet easy to find excellent bed

The bushes in the car parking area definitely need cutting back to allow safe parking, specially with a £10 charge. Sleeping was not good with window very slightly open because of traffic noise. The room would benefit from net curtains. Excellent evening meal, thank you.

All was good with our stay however we only had one towel and one cup/ hospitality items- we raised this as we left and were told they didn’t know 2 people were staying although said : on Booking Also we were surprised to be charged £10 for onsite parking just for one night it seemed excessive

This was my second time staying at the Guildford Asperion. As my first experience was very positive, I rented two rooms as I had a friend come into town. Upon arrival we were met by the registration employee who was not particularly welcoming. Whilst completing the registration we were informed that our parked vehicles were subject to 10 pounds ($12 or so) per night for parking. This was not listed on the Expedia booking page and was a surprise to me as it was not the case on my first stay at the hotel in 2021. When we questioned the charge the employee shrugged their shoulders and said that the charge was the case for all guests who booked through Expedia and that if we had booked directly there wouldn't be a parking charge. We asked if we could speak to his supervisor to see if there was anything we could do about the charge as we weren't sure whether we still wanted to stay, and at this point the hotel employee said that they couldn't care if we stayed or left and refused to ask his supervisor to come and talk to us. We then tried to pay for the parking with cash but were informed that the hotel is cashless leading to yet another disagreement. At this point we were getting frustrated and the hotel employee then threatened to call the police. We decided in the end to just reluctantly pay the parking cost even though the lack of transparency on Expedia was frustrating. The welcome we received at the Asperion Guildford was atrocious. The property was clean, well presented and the staff were very nice. The reception wasn’t particularly obvious causing us some confusion (might have just been us). We weren’t told about the £10 charge for parking until we were checking in, even after messaging the hotel and asking if the was parking on site. It’s around a 15-20 minute walk into the town centre but be prepared for the uphill walk back.

I booked a single room approx. 12*8, so tiny. The room was modern and clean. No electrical outlets near the bed and lacking flat storage spaces and drawers. Parking was an extra 10 pound a night. Coffee and tea were not refilled the 2nd night, left me with a feeling of penny pinching. Overall, just okay but very expensive for what I got.

The convenience for central Guildford and also leaving Guildford. The parking at the property What I did not like was the website was confusing, on reading it initially it led me to believe both parking and breakfast were included, however this proved not to be the case. ONLY if you book direct with the hotel do you get them. This MUST be made cleared, one should not have to scrutinise every word, so I felt rather unhappy at this. I hope this helps other visitors in future The facilities available were confusing, on booking

This is a really nice hotel not far from the station. The room was clean, comfortable, quiet & had all the expected amenities. Staff were friendly & helpful. The breakfast has huge! I would definitely stay here again.

The doors are locked at 10:00 PM, so I felt very safe. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only caution is there is no air conditioning, which I had not noticed when I booked. We had a lovely experience at the Asperion,the staff were really friendly and helpful, they let me store my case for the day, after I checked out. The room was so nice, clean and very comfortable, breakfast was fresh and delicious, I would definitely recommend! So much better than Premier Inn, Holiday Inn or Travelodge! Would definitely stay again.

Everything was fine but my room was ten feet from the road so I heard every auto passing by.

Quick & easy check in Room was quite good enough for a one night stay although maybe not if you were going for a week as there is not a great deal of storage space. Only thing wrong was having to move the desk to use the kettle with what has to be the shortest lead ever made it would not only not reach to the desk when I tried the other plugs it would even reach the ground.

Nice, clean, and comfortable. Make sure to ask for a room away from the street. There was district road noise constantly, but I was facing the street.

The room I had was at front of the hotel by a very busy road, there were black out blinds but very exposed if blinds were up, could have done with Venetian blinds to let the light in but give more privacy.

I enjoyed a one-night stay very much, in the cleverly designed single room with its own separate bathroom. Very welcoming, all amenities provided (apart from a holder for toothbrush and paste, but it is a very small bathroom!) and beautifully presented and tasty breakfast. A word of warning if you're walking there from the station - it's uphill and quite steep!

My room? Immaculate. Modern. Cosy enough to make me question whether I actually needed to leave it at all. I briefly considered cancelling my plans and just living there forever, sustained by tea and fluffy pillows. Then came breakfast. Not just any breakfast—this was a full English symphony cooked by an actual chef (not a toaster in sight). I’m convinced the sausages were blessed by a culinary deity. Yummy doesn’t quite cover it—it was a spiritual experience in bacon. The staff? Oh, they’re not just friendly. They’re the kind of charming that makes you feel like you’ve just walked into a Jane Austen novel, but with Wi-Fi. Kind, warm, and effortlessly helpful—if they’d offered me a crown and called me “Your Grace,” I wouldn’t have blinked. Location-wise, it’s a winner. A short stroll to town, shops, and the train station—perfect for those of us who like our adventures with minimal effort. Would I come back? Absolutely. I might even bring a suitcase full of bacon as tribute.

Great welcome and nice staff throughout

Clean, comfy, shower was compact but nice. Had a nice sleep here. Staff were welcoming and and friendly. Reception was not manned overnight and there was no info in the room about what to do if I had a problem overnight, but I didn't so I don't know if phoning the main contact line would have got through to anyone. Soundproofing was fairly good - I could hear traffic outside but only quietly, although I could hear something knocking in the wind most of the night, seemingly inside somewhere, although I didn't investigate as it was only minor. Overall, a great price, a nice evening with only minor issues, and I'm pretty happy.

This is an unusual format for a hotel but it works very well. Some of the single rooms have dedicated private bath/shower rooms separate from their bedroom with personal key. I was travelling ight and I really appreciated the dressing gown which came with the room. The breakfast room was bright and the service matched it. The railway station is quite close and the town centre lues just beyond it, all downhill so a taxi back may be a comfortabe option. i found the staff veary helpful.

This was a last minute booking for business travel. As a single room, it was smaller that a standard hotel room, but was exactly what I needed. Breakfast was excellent.
