The hotel was central and easy to get to lots of bars and restaurants. It seemed modern with lovely reception, bar and cafe areas. It was great having the VIP free parking. However compared to other hotels we've used in the area the room was disappointing - small room with frosted no-open windows. Having chosen it on the basis of the spa and pool we were disappointed to find it was a further charge of £10 each - PER HOUR to use the pool.

Be aware the hotels.com profile advertises the spa facilities, but there’s an additional fee for using. Stayed in lots of hotels through hotels.com and this is the first time trying to add on fees for using advertised facilities.

One of the main reasons I booked this hotel and paid the full advertised price was for the spa facilities, which were clearly promoted as part of the stay. On arrival, I was informed that the spa was out of order and unavailable. This was extremely disappointing and not what I paid for. Had I been informed in advance, I would not have proceeded with the booking or would have expected a reduced rate. No prior notice, only alternative was discounted treatments which was sufficient given me staying with my elderly nan who is unable to use any of the treatments this significantly impacted our stay.

Nice hotel but could do better. Handy parking at £18/night. WiFi was easily accessed and seemed decent. The bar seemed to have a very limited choice of drinks, only 4 on tap and no Guinness which was very disappointing. Room was a good size but the bed was like a slab of granite! Shower was pretty weak which isn't a great start to the day and the buffet cooked breakfast made things worse. I can't understand how they managed to get fried mushrooms to taste so absolutely vile, the black pudding wasn't cooked, the fried eggs were extremely greasy and the cheap sausages were just nasty. All in all, I did not leave feeling very refreshed in the morning which was really disappointing as I had a very long day ahead. On the plus side, all the staff were absolutely great!

On arrival we were informed of the charge for parking. We were offered a room which would be in a quieter part of the hotel as there were graduation celebrations going on. We were unable to use the spa as it needed to be booked in advance. It took the spa an hour to return our call then the only space available was 7.45pm (that was not suitable). There was also a charge of £10. Neither of these bits of information were listed on the booking page with Hotels.com. Very disappointing. Staff were great. And breakfast was very good.

Rooms were lovely and clean. Breakfast was nice and the cocktails are very good. I could hear a lot of noise throughout the night, especially doors slamming. Parking is very expensive. We paid to go in the spa, but weren't told before we went in that the plunge pool and sauna were out of use. Pool is very small.

The property was clean and staff were nice - breakfast was good - buffet that you pay £15 for - Great gym And it is very central to where we needed to be - however there are some drawbacks Parking is expensive - and not enough one night parking was full and we got a £25 parking ticket - And you have to pay to use the pool? £10 per person per hour - they should not advertise a pool because really its ridiculous to pay to use a pool very expensive

Parking major problem no clear instructions so parked in the wrong place and got a parking ticket. 80% of fine offset against hotel bill. Slightly disappointing to have to pay £10 each to use the spa facilities. Jacuzzi not very warm. Only 1 route down to reception from floor so long walk of at end of the corridor. All other aspects of hotel very good with good service

The hotel shower was dirty the room was smelly, The bed throw was dirty there was barely any facility in the room the iron didn’t work the phone in the room wouldn’t call the reception. You have to pay for the car park even though they have a carpark. The room was over their bar and very noisy. There was no gluten free choice for their room service menu which was very . The receptionist had no knowledge of gluten free breakfast option the breakfast is very expensive. We ate some where else. We wouldn’t return.

The hotel on appearance looks amazing! Sadly my room 226, upon entering smelt terribly of cigarettes. The room looked tired & marked walls, lampshades old looking. The shower/bath were not clean. Bath club damaged, water leaked out of bath as it did not secure into fitting. Black mould in waste water areas of shower & on bath tap surround. Not good. Room was affected by outside noise, view awful at rear. Bottles being emptied each morning!?! Spa very good, restaurant very good & staff very attentive. The room was disappointing especially as I am Platinum, I would have expected it to be better. Stayed I'm many hotels. But this particular room was in need of TLC. Would like matter reviewed &suitably recompensed. I have photos of issues to evidence my review.

Stay was generally very good. 4/5 stars - lost a star as there wasn’t a kettle in the room. The room had recently been refurbished and was lovely. Parking charges are high at £18 per night- on top of the already steep price. We didn’t then add breakfast as the cost would have been so much. But the kettle in the room is a disappointment.

Stayed two nights, a Friday and Saturday, nothing wrong with the hotel and staff but my ⭐️⭐️ rating was due to noise, loud music, from the hotels bar until 1am. In my opinion the priority for a hotel is to ensure that guests get a good nights sleep so I find it inexplicable that they allow this. And my room was on the third floor so who knows what it sounds like on the first or second!

Well appointed hotel, modern, clean, stylish and room was same as well as being quiet at night. All staff encountered were courteous and helpful. Nice and handy for the G Live venue (next door) and less than 5 mins from town centre.

Checking in was a breeze. Reception were super helpful. However the bed was terrible. The mattress was way too soft and I hate to say it, probably the worst night sleep I’ve had. Disappointing end to a great trip.

Room seem very outdated but I believe the hotel is in the process of refurbishing. The fact that the room doesn’t come with a refrigerator (available upon demand, we were told), is also very unusual. Staff was great and loved the buffet breakfast.

It was refreshing to be greeted by friendly, efficient and professional staff at check in. The room was more than we expected, very modern, clean, very comfortable bed and linen and appreciated the complimentary bottles of water each day, high quality toiletries and huge, soft bath towels. Was a little disappointed we had to ask for a bath mat and milk wasn't replenished but we got some from reception.

The management and staff at The Harbour Hotel couldn’t have been more accommodating. We were quite a large group and were arriving at different times and on different days but every effort was made by the reception staff to facilitate early check in. Special thanks to Maddie

Lovely hotel and lovely staff! The manager (Jan) the evening we stayed went above and beyond to rectify an issue we had and moved our room within 10 minites of us talking to him! Excellent experience, will definately be back.

At check in the computers were down. I was kept in the sitting area for more 2 hours. No one notified me when the computers were up and running for approximately 30 mins. If I had stood up to ask, I would have sat there for a long time. I missed a virtual clinic with patients as a result.

As a whole the hotel and staff were nice, the bar staff were lovely and smiley but sadly I found one particular young lady at reception rather rude and condescending which unfortunately puts a bad tone on things. There was a slight confusion on the payment of the afternoon tea and they wouldn’t listen so that was that. The room had stains on the carpets, the lamp shade was hanging off the wall also and the bed was extremely noisy when you even rolled over. The bar was a nice place but hard to find a seat due to the amount of people working on there laptops and drinking there bottles of water. Overall it is a nice hotel and nicely placed but I’m not sure I would rush back sadly.

This is a rather new property, especially for the area. This town used to be a bit of a black hole with respect to hotels downtown, but this has been remedied thus. Highly recommend for people who want to stay in Guildford town center. Lovely.

Went to G Live next door. This hotel is a fantastic location as the high street is on its doorstep. Jenny the receptionist was so helpful and friendly. We will use this hotel again.

We had a 2 night stay in Guildford - the hotel is really well appointed, nice bar and great breakfast selection. Rooms are a good size with decent beds / shower etc as you would expect at this price point. Staff were helpful throughout the hotel. Decent gym although the pool is a relaxing pool, not one for swimming lengths in.

I didn't like bar service waited for table service no 1 came so ordered at bar [it was not busy ether] ordered drinks with what looked like head bar man he didn't possess the order the other 2 bar man where doing nothing he then started talking to a groop if women which seemed far more important when finished talking to them he forgot our order and had to send bar man over to retake then made 2 drinks wrong out of 3 then you have cheek to charge service charge.All so breakfast was very average dor hotel of that size hot water for tea from flask why have you not aleast got hot boiling water tap coffee machine bot working

Lovely clean and well presented room. The breakfast was excellent with good quality food, lots of choice including some healthier choices. This was a meet up with friends and we really appreciated the lovely open plan bar and restaurant areas where we could socialise. Quite expensive to buy drinks - a tea was £4, and £4.50 if it was brought to you table. But overall very happy.

Hotel was in a great location, situated at the top of High Street and very close to the G live. The room was spacious. The only complaint about the room was that the window was frosted and therefore we couldn’t see out. No idea whereabouts we were. Breakfast was good, but they had no bananas. Find the service of drinks quite slow, but on the whole the Hotel was great

The arrangements for breakfast was confused and meant guests had to find their own table and walk around the dining room to find and collect their food and drink. The hot drinks were all from one self serve machine. Something you expect in an office or petrol station but not a high class hotel.
