Stayed 4 nights

I want to provide an accurate and fair assessment for this property. The continent was in the midst of a summer heat wave which impacted the stay. Location: It was phenomenal. Located across from two parks and walking distance to anything you need. Flat: It was rather old and felt as if a lot of the niceties had not been kept up with. The lift was not operational so we had to haul luggage up and down stairs. There was no real AC in the room as the listing states. The central air appeared to not function so they brought in a portable AC unit. The unit was too small to cool the space and had to be vented meaning that the sliding door had to remain open when the unit was running. The towel heater was broken in the bathroom which added heat to an already hot flat. The kitchen was good and had most of what was needed to prepare a proper meal. The unit itself was spacious and fit a family of 4 comfortably. Even with the broken items it did feel quintessentially British; which was nice. Hosts: the hosts were fantastic and Lisa in reception was excellent. They were responsive and provided an easy check in/check out experience. They provided welcome gifts upon arrival (which our kids loved) and made sure that everything went smoothly. Overall: Our stay was pleasant but I would not return again during summer unless they fix the central AC and provide proper cooling.

We stayed here for one week, from Friday to Friday. Upon arrival, we were informed that the elevator was out of service and were assigned a room on the 4th floor. Unfortunately, the elevator was never repaired during our entire stay. It appeared to be an ongoing issue that was not disclosed before our arrival. Housekeeping was also very limited. During the week, the room was cleaned only once and towels were replaced once. The bed sheets were never changed. The air conditioning did not work properly, so we had to use a loud fan at night to sleep comfortably. The furniture is outdated and could use updating. While the bedroom had blackout curtains, the rest of the apartment did not. For us, the only real highlight of this property was its excellent location. Unfortunately, due to the maintenance issues and overall condition of the accommodations, we would not choose to stay here again.

Beautiful boutique hotel in a great location. Convenient to walking distance to so many landmarks and the Shepard's market has lots of pubs and shops.

I booked this hotel for my husband. He loved everything about the place, and was so happy that the room was spacious enough for tai chi!
