Really good location for the beach, shopping and restaurants. Traffic after 11 is absolutely horrific. We had three taxis cancel on us from the Atlantis waterpark due to the location of this hotel. We had to get out of the taxi and walk 10/15 mins on multiple occasions because the traffic was so bad so just be warned. We had wings and fries at the pool and the fries were good but the wings were disastrous. The lifts are slow and take a while, one afternoon I was waiting 5-10 mins for a lift. But all that said, I would still stay here again!

It’s a nice hotel, great staff, near shops if that’s what you want from a holiday. The marina is very built up though. No greenery. The hotel pool is tiny and was incredibly busy. The place is congested and you hear the super cars reving engines late at night. I preferred the Fairmont on the palm. Far bigger, more space to relax.

The location was great. Amazing views from both the front and back of building. Swimming pool and steam and sauna were great. Lifts were a bit slow and they didnt put through calls from relatives after 10pm. They were not able to contact us via the hotel reception.

Bel hotel renové, personel accueillant et agreable, belle chambre, meme si il ne faut pas regarder en details Tres bon emplacement, avec restaurants et boutiques, malgre des bouchons pour acceder a la marina. Piscine ne beneficiant que de 2h de soleil par jour.. heureusement plage a meme pas 100m

Location is amazing, staff amazing, room clean. Only downside was food and the club lounge , not enough selection for dining and the lounge didnt have anything good enough to warrant the upgrade.

The hotel is in the most perfect location for being right in the centre of it all. You can easily walk along the beach, to bluewaters island and the marina and there are SO MANY fantastic dining options. It’s also only a 25mins (ish) drive to Dubai mall for the Burj and fountains. It’s about 45 mins away from the airport without traffic. The hotel is lovely, clean etc just not one of the newest hotels. We were greeted very warmly by reception and really appreciated that our room was ready when we arrived early. We had a luxury room with a balcony and view of the beach / Ain wheel which was well worth the extra money - fantastic views. The bed was massive and comfortable. Nice rainfall shower and separate bath too. Room service / housekeeping were good.. if we needed anything extra and let reception know it would be sorted quickly. The pool / pool area is nice but unfortunately only gets the sun between about 1pm and 4pm. The beach is public which is fine but it’s quite expensive to hire sun loungers each day (about £27 per day). Not the fault of the hotel and this would be an issue for all hotels but the only thing I would say is that it is pretty noisy at night with cars revving every night until about 2 or 3am. This wasn’t a problem for us as we mostly stayed up very late and I’m a heavy sleeper m but it you go to bed earlier or are a light sleeper then it’s something to consider! Even with white noise on both our phones it was still loud.

La struttura si trova in una delle migliori zone di Dubai, JBR, e Sofitel si trova nella miglior posizione. Purtroppo ho notato un declino della qualità dell’hotel negli anni. Il rinnovo avvenuto, ha sicuramente tolto la particolarità della struttura. La finestra che collega il terrazzo non era isolata acusticamente, e visto la vicinanza alla strada, faceva sentire tutti i rumori provenienti dall’esterno. Anche la colazione è notevolmente calata di qualità, ma comunque buona. Personale molto gentile, struttura molto pulita. Altra nota negativa, l’hotel non dispone di spiaggia privata, e si è costretti a noleggiare ombrellone e lettini. Inoltre la piscina e gli sdrai disponibili sono insufficienti a ospitare tutti gli ospiti della struttura. In generale un buon hotel, con ottima posizione, ma che avrebbe bisogno di migliorare su alcuni aspetti importanti.

The pool barely got any sun during the day. The public beach is not nice. Breakfast was good but there could have been more. We weren’t allowed to move our sunbeds by the pool since we tried to move where the sun is. Also there was always traffic and it was super loud until 2-3 am. Most of the personal staff was nice but some not so much. The hotel does not have its own beach are so no sunbeds there you would need to rent those!

First time staying here last month. Hotel- layout and design is nice, very modern. Rooms- very nice and upto date, loved the theme and bathroom design, decent size, always cleaned and sheets changed Room view - selected balcony sea view and it was perfect! Food- opted for breakfast option and it didn’t disappointment plenty of options! Depending what time you go will depend on how busy it was and you might have to wait for a table but the wait time was around 10 mins. Staff- polite, friendly and welcoming Pool- a little small but with it being an infinity pool it was nice with a good view! Other service - NOT related to the hotel but no way reflect the hotel standard and service. Mentioning more so that people are aware nail salon 2nd floor (they just rent the space), overpriced, and the price does not reflect the quality of the work produced and the time taken (3hrs for acrylic nail set) plus. I had to go back 3 times within 72 hours due to the quality of nail glue used! Disappointment. Overall the hotel was great, perfect for families too!

Room stank of mold, facilities very tired, restaurant service the one night we decided not to have the buffet was atrocious. Terrible food. I was served raw previously frozen escargot. All our entrees arrived at different times. Our very si ple meal took theee hours to serve. The buffet was good and the buffet staff were great but this hotel does not compare with any other Sofitel.
Room stank of mold, facilities very tired, restaurant service the one night we decided not to have the buffet was atrocious. Terrible food. I was served raw previously frozen escargot. Hotel is old, and in need of an update/upgrade. room stunk of smoke. Got hassled on the way to the lifts by traders within the hotel sll the time selling knock-offs and rubish tacky stuff. Would not return to this hotel. Certainly not as good as a Sofitel in the UK. Better off looking for another hotel in the area. Definitely not the star rating advertised. The pool was warm, not cooled. The location was about the only good thing. Everything else is well below, par!

Check in and check out was seamless. Rooms were clean and well maintained. All amenities were great. Baggage assistance (Porter Services) were quite slow for bringing luggage to and from the room. Tea and coffee were provided in the room but no milk or creamer.

Pros: Super close to the beach, convenient location. The property provides beach towels, which is a plus. Great pool. Amazing breakfasts! Our room on 17th floor was clean, safe, quiet. Cons: No airport transfer! Old smell, esp in a closet. Terrible dinners, they reuse leftovers for the next day, do NOT recommend to buy them. Overall 4 stars, doesn’t worth money since its on the expensive side.

Clean rooms. Helpful staff. Restaurant amenities and breakfast offerings are quite good. The pool has a nice area to lounge by and offers shade and sun along with a lounge area to the side. Room can be updated although clean and sufficient. Location is excellent. JBR is extremely lively on the weekends and not for the faint of heart looking for quiet sleeps, even if you are on the 29th floor. The area is alway hustling with a variety of offerings for all ages and interests. Plenty of restaurants and cafes. Beach is beautiful. The area is extremely busy however. If this will be your base while in Dubai and you will be commuting, then you must add 20 minutes to you every drive to enter and exit JBR. Traffic is a disaster.

Ok I liked everything about the property but restroom between the toilet and shower glass wall it’s not even a foot distance I’ma average person I couldn’t sit comfortably if you bigger OMG they can do better then that and the bed mattress was kind of old you can’t really feel you are on the bed it’s like you are in cheap wood for a five star hotel they can do better then that. Overall pool, lounge area and location are the best if you dnt care about sleep comfort and restroom it’s good if not look somewhere else. Place was clean and neat.

The hotel was very clean, with excellent breakfast options. The staff were always friendly, helpful and attentive. During the daytime the area is clean and tidy with excellent access to the beach and local shops. The access to the tram and metro needs a little walk along some narrow pavements. The biggest disappointment is the level of noise in the evening and through the night -- lots of traffic, extremely loud car engines being revved into the early hours, and very loud dance music from the clubs and restaurants over the road. It became so noisy that we needed to play white noise on our phones during the night to help us sleep. Overall the hotel is excellent, location to the beach is excellent, facilities during the daytime are great, but the level of noise in the evening and overnight has put me off from returning.

Cannot fault the hotel. Spacious rooms, very comfortable bed, with all you’d expect in a hotel like this. Area is very convenient for shopping and visiting nearby marina. Plenty of options for eating out and small supermarket not far a within easy walking distance. Breakfast had plenty of choice and staff are incredibly attentive throughout

I had a lovely stay - The facilities were great and the hotel itself was brilliant. The breakfast was scrumptious with a wide variety of choice but what really made my stay memorable was Paul the concierge. He was extremely helpful when i got separated from my phone and went above and beyond to assist me in my time of need. He is a true asset to the Sofitel team. I will definitely be returning to this hotel again.

Check in and check out was seamless. Rooms were clean and well maintained. All amenities were great. Baggage assistance (Porter Services) were quite slow for bringing luggage to and from the room. Tea and coffee were provided in the room but no milk or creamer.

I stayed in this property i had 2 rooms both booked under same name, also the desopit was same. I checked out one 2 days prior as i was flying. After reaching airport i found out that i left my valuable in the hotel. I called my brother to check in room and later to ask reception about the checkout room if something is left out. They said yes we found values in room. My brother asked them why didnt you tell us for 2 days we were in next room, same hotel same booking reference same deposit money for booking, why is that you didnt call us in the room and tell us about the valuable left. They didnt have any answer and then the rude security officer said that its your responsibility you should have checked room. So unprofessional and unethical. I completely understand if they didnt knew but when my brother went to the reception they were like yes 2 room we have that stuff but didnt inform till 2 days.. Later when i paid the bellboy for his help and services he told me as it was valueable stuff they would have kept it and it happened multiple times. Bad service... Jawad security guy bad guy 0 star Empty reception Very bad service

The hotel is in the most perfect location for being right in the centre of it all. You can easily walk along the beach, to bluewaters island and the marina and there are SO MANY fantastic dining options. It’s also only a 25mins (ish) drive to Dubai mall for the Burj and fountains. It’s about 45 mins away from the airport without traffic. The hotel is lovely, clean etc just not one of the newest hotels. We were greeted very warmly by reception and really appreciated that our room was ready when we arrived early. We had a luxury room with a balcony and view of the beach / Ain wheel which was well worth the extra money - fantastic views. The bed was massive and comfortable. Nice rainfall shower and separate bath too. Room service / housekeeping were good.. if we needed anything extra and let reception know it would be sorted quickly. The pool / pool area is nice but unfortunately only gets the sun between about 1pm and 4pm. The beach is public which is fine but it’s quite expensive to hire sun loungers each day (about £27 per day). Not the fault of the hotel and this would be an issue for all hotels but the only thing I would say is that it is pretty noisy at night with cars revving every night until about 2 or 3am. This wasn’t a problem for us as we mostly stayed up very late and I’m a heavy sleeper m but it you go to bed earlier or are a light sleeper then it’s something to consider! Even with white noise on both our phones it was still loud.

Hotel cleaning staff were excellent, ensuring a prompt and thorough clean on a daily basis. However small things such as the hair dryer off switch not working, and the balcony door being difficult to push open were mino inconvenience. My main concern however was the way in which we were dealt with. I arrived at 10am, and understandably the hotel have their own check in policy of 3pm. Despite the latter however, we were told several times at hourly intervals that our room was "getting ready" and should be available soon. I was left waiting around for 5 hours clinging on the hope that it would be any minute now based on the interaction from hotel staff. I ended up wasting a SIGNIFICANT portion of time on my first day of a short stay in Dubai, and even at 3pm the room was delayed for another 15 minutes. All I was given was an apology with no real conviction in the sincerity. I also expressed that other hotel guests who arrived to similar times to myself were catered for hours before me. Instead of empathising, or taking responsibility, they replied with "there is a priority list". At the end of the day, I am a paying customer, and I do not appreciate being lied to, and the lack of empathy towards the value of my time, especially when you are there for a short stay. Wont be visiting again im afraid.

Wir wurden arg enttäuscht von diesem Hotel was die Schlussrechnung betrifft. Beim Auschecken haben wir eine Rechnung über 1602.00 AED erhalten zu welcher wir auch eingewilligt haben. Ein paar Tage später zuhause bemerkten wir, dass uns statt der 1602.00 AED vom Hotel 3206.06 AED abgebucht wurden, also das Doppelte. Wir haben das Hotel sofort schriftlich kontaktiert und erfragt wie sie dazu kommen uns das Doppelte abzubuchen. Als Antwort kam, dass die Rechnung von 1602 AED am Tag vom Auschecken einen „technischen Fehler“ aufwies! So etwas ist für ein angebliches 5 Sterne Hotel inakzeptabel! Wir raten definitiv ab dort zu buchen!

Bel hotel renové, personel accueillant et agreable, belle chambre, meme si il ne faut pas regarder en details Tres bon emplacement, avec restaurants et boutiques, malgre des bouchons pour acceder a la marina. Piscine ne beneficiant que de 2h de soleil par jour.. heureusement plage a meme pas 100m

Clean rooms. Helpful staff. Restaurant amenities and breakfast offerings are quite good. The pool has a nice area to lounge by and offers shade and sun along with a lounge area to the side. Room can be updated although clean and sufficient. Location is excellent. JBR is extremely lively on the weekends and not for the faint of heart looking for quiet sleeps, even if you are on the 29th floor. The area is alway hustling with a variety of offerings for all ages and interests. Plenty of restaurants and cafes. Beach is beautiful. The area is extremely busy however. If this will be your base while in Dubai and you will be commuting, then you must add 20 minutes to you every drive to enter and exit JBR. Traffic is a disaster.

Located in JBR, you can’t beat the location. Accessible to everythjng and walkable. Be mindful the traffic is terrible in the area if planning to taxi to other places but that shouldn’t prevent you from staying in area. Sofitel is elegant, staff amazing and great vibe

Lovely stay in a great hotel at Jumeirah Beach area wirh valet parking included. Very well kept property. Lots of amenities and superb staff. Fabulous breakfast buffet with great selection for just about anyone's taste. All the staff were super helpful and nice from check-in to concierge to parking valets and lobby staff. Nice pool area looking out over the beach. Enjoyed our stay tremendously.
Lovely stay in a great hotel at Jumeirah Beach area wirh valet parking included. Very well kept property. Lots of amenities and superb staff. Fabulous breakfast buffet with great selection for just about anyone's taste. All the staff were super helpful and nice from check-in to concierge to parking valets and lobby staff. Nice pool area looking out over the beach. Enjoyed our stay tremendously.

Room stank of mold, facilities very tired, restaurant service the one night we decided not to have the buffet was atrocious. Terrible food. I was served raw previously frozen escargot. All our entrees arrived at different times. Our very si ple meal took theee hours to serve. The buffet was good and the buffet staff were great but this hotel does not compare with any other Sofitel.

Pros: Super close to the beach, convenient location. The property provides beach towels, which is a plus. Great pool. Amazing breakfasts! Our room on 17th floor was clean, safe, quiet. Cons: No airport transfer! Old smell, esp in a closet. Terrible dinners, they reuse leftovers for the next day, do NOT recommend to buy them. Overall 4 stars, doesn’t worth money since its on the expensive side.

Cannot fault the hotel. Spacious rooms, very comfortable bed, with all you’d expect in a hotel like this. Area is very convenient for shopping and visiting nearby marina. Plenty of options for eating out and small supermarket not far a within easy walking distance. Breakfast had plenty of choice and staff are incredibly attentive throughout

This hotel is wonderful in terms of location. It’s unbeatable! The lady at check in was so friendly and treated us like royalty: The housekeeeping guy was a little questionable at times with some of his comments and style of communication but I’m picking at things honestly. The only word of warning for families, the pool is fairly small and I feel there are better properties locally if you’re staying with kids but still a 5 star stay for us!
