Hampton Inn Dandridge

The 1 elevator "could not be used". We are 71 and 72 years old. I've had 5 spinal surgeries and we had to lug all luggage up flights of stairs. The next morning a woman told me her 92 year old mother took an hour to be able to climb the steps. The front desk offered no offset, comfort or caring, it appeared to everyone!!!

The hotel was clean and parking was easy to find. We didn’t eat breakfast, but it did smell good. Pros: the staff was incredible. I thought I had booked a king room with a sofa bed. When we got there, there was only the king bed. That wasn’t ideal for us and our 13 year old son. The girl at the front desk brought us a roll away bed within 10 minutes. The indoor pool was nice. My son liked it because it didn’t have too much chlorine in it. Cons: the AC wasn’t great. It was set on 66 and never got very cool. The bed was comfortable but squeaky. The bedding was nice and soft but the pillows were awful- way too soft and flat. My final complaint was the toilet. It was very low to the ground. If you have no mobility issues, this will not be a big deal. If you have any knee issues especially, it’s problematic. Overall, I’d definitely stay here again, but I’d bring my own pillow next time.

We come to Dandridge throughout the year to visit family and I think we have stayed at all the hotels in the cluster around this one. I will say, this one was the most updated, with the most comfortable rooms. Great darkening shades (that you need) and the only issue was still being able to hear the highway at night so earplugs are recommended if you are a light sleeper. Very helpful and friendly staff.
