The Judd Hotel

Great location in a quiet residential area just a few minutes walk from King's Cross, St. Pancrea and Euston stations. Nice room in the annex across the road. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast OK but breakfast room very crowded and a bit cramped.

Great hotel, in great position to get around london. Though we where on the top floor only 3 floors & theres no lift. So be prepared for a workout with your bags

On arrival at the Judd hotel, we were greeted with a big smile from the receptionist, he was very helpful. The room we stayed in was in a building next door called The Jenkins Hotel. Our room was a twin room ,it was small, but because we was out most of the time it didn’t bother us. The room had a small desk to work on ,a television on the wall, a coffee making machine and tea . The shower was very good ,quite powerful. Only problems we experienced was other guests slamming their doors ,on our last morning there this happened quite a lot at 5 30 am . All together thou apart from that , a good stay in all.

This is a quaint hotel in a great location. It’s not got a lot of frills but does the job well and is clean. I was on the third floor and there is no lift. Not a problem for me, but for other customers they should be aware that there are a lot of narrow stairs

This hotel is a very convenient location right by Kings Cross Tube station and the St. Pancreas train station. You can get to anywhere form here. Clean with air conditioning which was so nice this past week. Breakfast is good as well. Be aware that stairs are a given in this hotel and you must be able to navigate a set of narrow ones to get down to breakfast, same as other hotels here. Our daughter broke her foot so was difficult to get to room and breakfast. Food was good.

Great location close to St Pancraes and the underground. Room was very comfortable and AC worked perfectly. Breakfast might have been one of the best we ever had in our travels. Highly recommended!

Stayed in a twin room in the annexe (which is actually another hotel!) on the second floor - no lift so wouldn’t recommend if you have heavy suitcases or mobility issues. You need to leave the annexe to go and have breakfast in The Judd Hotel (across the road). Breakfast had a good selection of cereals; hot food; cheese; pastries and fruit. Staff could be a bit sullen especially if you were asking for toast or anything that had run out. Room was adequate with en suite shower - one small stool or your bed to sit on no room for a chair. Bed was comfy enough.

I like this hotel & its location alot. Staff is friendly. Just be advised there is no elevator & sometimes no one is available to help with your luggage. I did not mind carrying my owm.

This is a pleasant hotel in an attractive location. Because of the nature of the building, the rooms may differ in size. Ours was of a reasonable size with good furnishings and very comfortable bed. Lighting was better than in some hotels we have been to. Storage was also quite good. The en-suite while not big, was well equipped, though some of a larger dimension may find the shower a tight squeeze. The breakfast room is very pleasant with a a good choice though the orange juice could have been a bit stronger. The biggest drawback: no lift which could be a problem for some people though the staff will give help if needed. Staff seemed generally pleasant.

Quiet and comfortable room with good WiFi No lift though

The location was perfect and I could walk to the places I needed to go to. It is close to two tube stations and near shops. The front desk staff are very good as are those who serve breakfast.

We were placed in a room in the basement next to the breakfast room. Carpet was dirty. When I asked if someone can clean it because it had hairs and other things all over, I was told there is no one who can do it. At 3pm on a weekday. In the morning we were woken up by the constant talking of personnel working in the basement in front of our window. Very disappointed considering the price we paid for this room.

Great location, very friendly and helpful front staff. Room: towels were forgotten every day, I had to call to get towels. The room was noisy, there must have been a boiler etc. close by. In general clean room, but left dirty spoon for every morning and left cleaning spray on toilet-seat that I had to remove. Despite the great location and the staff I will not book it again, nor will I recommend it to friends.

Brilliant place easily located to tube stations and Euston. Spotlessly clean. Would agree from other reviews that third floor is hard to access especially with cases but didn’t stop us from enjoying our stay. Would definitely stay again due to location and cleanliness.

I enjoyed my stay at the Judd hotel with my daughter. The location was great as it was a ten minute walk from Kings Cross Station and close to Russel Square. Staff were friendly and great with my daughter. The breakfast was good and was one of the reasons I booked the hotel. The room was ok, I was at the back of the hotel so not the best view, The room was a little dirty, sink not cleaned properly and hair. The room needed some TLC had marks on the wall and pen on the curtains, however the bed was clean and comfortable. I was able to leave my bags on departure day which was great. I would stay again as location was great.

The hotel was fine for a one night stay between trips - location is good. But it’s very shabby, needs to be deep cleaned. The bedroom wall was really dirty, had marks all over. Room noisy and can hear neighbours coughing and sneezing. For the price the hotel was not a great option.

First, the positives. The staff were helpful and friendly, and it is convenient to enable you to get to trains and London hotspots. The sheets are all spotlessly clean, and so was the bathroom. The carpet didn't seem too clean, i would recommend different floor surfaces. My issue was that the Lower Ground Floor rooms, which are unfit for purpose because as soon as I walked in, there was an overpowering smell of bleach and dampness. Instead of smelling clean, the bleach made my chest and throat sting, and i had to open the window because I couldn't sleep. Unfortunately, there is noise from the air conditioners that go on and off if you open the window. I think the higher level rooms are probably better, so avoid the lower ground ones

Bathroom sink had a hair and detritus on the shaft that was there from Monday to Friday. Room was cold and the aircon on its highest heat setting made no difference. Slept with coat on bed to keep warm.

Cleanliness is average cannot give above that due to old yellow stains on the toilet bowl. The rest are alright for the price paid for. Staff are friendly Room is bit old, should do some renotation esp the toilet. Location is excellent near to Easton Station for train and underground.

We had a great stay at this hotel, it was very convenient for St Pancras station, the room was very clean, the breakfast was lovely and all the staff were so friendly and helpful at all times.

The location is excellent, close to Kings Cross station. The room itself is minuscule - no room to turn around, and forget about having two people standing up or moving at the same time.

This was without a doubt, the smallest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. The room itself was in good condition, but the sheer lack of space meant that it could only be considered acceptable- for business travellers who arrived late and left early. The single bed was hard (and small) and I didn’t get the best nights sleep on either night. There was a Nespresso machine with three pods, but only two milk sachets. A coffee cup but no water glass. The shower / toilet was also sized extra-tiny, making it difficult to shower and the free shower gel pumps had about 2mm of travel, making them effectively useless. The TV had a fault and ceased working after about an hour of viewing on both nights of my stay, no great shame as it was about a 24 inch analogue unit- the remote control was worn so you couldn’t read half of the functions. The breakfast was quite basic but a good enough quality, the breakfast staff seemed unable to reply to a good morning, but managed to remove each plate, spoon, cup as soon as you put it down. For someone more used to Premier Inns (and similar), this was a rude awakening, although for £125 a night B&B in central London, I’d probably stay again - but only for business.

Room was super clean, bed was great! I was in the second floor and underneath my window was a kind of air condition and it was loud the whole night.

I had a single room, which was incredibly small but clean; convenient location, friendly staff. Overall it was a good stay. I would spring for the larger room next time.

Former servant quarters room on third floor. Comfortable bed but a double up against the wall - would be impractical for two people sharing. Wi-fi did not work at all for the two nights I was there

Judd Hotel is a bit old, and the floorboards can be noisy. The rooms are on the smaller side, and it takes about 12 minutes to walk to the metro. On the positive side, the location is nice, being close to a park. Breakfast offers plenty of choices with a good selection of drinks, and the staff are very friendly.

Reception staff were very welcoming, kept our bags as we arrived early morning. Arrived back at hotel an hour before 3pm check in time and our room was early so were allowed in. Room lovely and clean. Air conditioning was a godsend in the heat! Tea, coffee and water provided. Beds were comfy, great sleep was had. Breakfast complimentary, lots on offer, but too many tables crammed into a small space. No room to move with so many people in there, long queue for coffee which went over the hot food section due to lack of space. Found the experience quite uncomfortable so we left after a quick bowl of cereal! Remove a few tables and offer times for breakfast to relieve this. Would definitely stay again, but as it stands would not have breakfast at the hotel.

Excellent location, within walking distance to lots of amenities, attractions and transport links Staff were so very helpful and friendly. Assisted with heavy luggage down tricky staircase with no hesitation Breakfast service was abundant and staff attentiveness was on point. Choice was baited- hot, continental, fruit, cereals, yoghurt I would most definitely recommend and stay again Value for money without a doubt! Thank you

Check in poor customer service. Completed online check in and that did not work either. Dirty, wet towel left in wardrobe. Coffee machine broken. Air con/heating noisy. Shower temperature control faulty and scalded on cold. Room advertised was not in Judd but another building further away. Lower ground floor room with no soundproofing so when anyone walked on the pavement above it was audible at night. Expected much better, room was unloved and shabby.

Dreadful breakfast. Dietary requirements were not accommodated at all. Poor service. No TV for 36 hours. Emailed our concerns to the hotel manager -no reply. They obviously couldn't care less

Hotel is well located, albeit there is a bit of noise from the road and park just outside. Single bed was a little narrow, but the shower was warm and powerful. Breakfast was great and plentiful. Could do with starting at 7, not 7.30 ideally. Breakfast room staff were not at all welcoming and borderline rude. Guy on reception warm and welcoming.

The staff was AMAZING!!! As it, Azrah and Parish. Amazing!!! While we were at the hotel, it had a water issue. Most people would automatically downgrade them because of that. Something totally out of their control and unexpected. What I saw was how they rose to meet guests needs by filling up water, offering a room exchange at their old building, etc. They were under a great deal of pressure but they handled it beautifully. Most guests were tourists so we weren’t in the hotel during most of the day.

It was quite anticlimatic being shown our separate entrance at the building across thee street after coming in to judd hotel’s nice reception and warm atmosphere. Our room was at the top floor and the stairs got narrower and narrower, almost claustrophobic. The size was almost intolerably small but i cant say the pictures re lying - it shows the size quite precicely (the smallest ones. The light at the bathroom was broken and so was the usb near the bed. Luckily there ws another usb-access behind the coffee machine. The breakfast was really good, and it had a cozy atmosphere (then again, it was not in our sad building, it was at the actual hotel.) The most annoying part was the receptionist we met when we checked out. He seemed ininterested and arrogant when we asked for help on how to get to gatwick soonest. Turns out trains dont go to gatwick from st pancras that early on sundays and that caused a lot of stress for us. He just said «you have to go to Victoria» several times and then returning to his computer screen. We went for his advice but it was a really bad one. No trains went from Victoria. This nearly caused us to miss out plane.

Very comfortable stay in this lovely small hotel. Good breakfast included in price. Great location in quiet road yet close to Euston and lots of cafes/ restaurants etc. Staff very friendly and efficient

The first room they showed us to, the shower was blocked so they gave us a new room. In the morning we were woken by the fire alarm at 6am. Then there was no water all morning, so I was unable to shower, wash or flush the toilet. Emailed the hotel with feedback and received no reply. Certainly wouldn't stay here again.

This was a great find. An easy short level walk from Kings Cross/St Pancras but felt like a totally different part of the city (on a quiet crescent opposite a small park). Lovely staff, all hard working and friendly. We had a super quiet room on the top floor with a nice coffee machine, shower, an opening window, aircon, good linen. Lots of stairs but that didn’t bother us. Great pubs nearby and 25 minute walk to the West End past The British Museum. Breakfast was surprisingly great value being complimentary-with good quality bacon & sausage, cold options, toast etc. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is perfectly located close to Euston, St Pancras and King's Cross for those arriving/departing by train as we were. Staff very helpful and were able to have our rooms earlier so we could drop our luggage and head straight out. Likewise we left our luggage with reception on our departure day. Rooms were small but in good condition with what looked like new bathrooms. Price was very good for Central London and included a decent English breakfast.

Great location for proximity to Kings Cross St Pancras. Also walkable to Civent Garden, Trafalgar Square etc. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good. The shower in our room was alright but it took a while to figure out how to get hot water. We found the beds very comfortable and even though my sister and I had booked a double room as that was all there was at the time we were upgraded to a bigger room with a double and a single bed. There were tea and a nespressso coffee making machine in the room which was very welcome. All in all good value and a pleasant stay.

This property is conveniently located within walking distance from Russell Square station and also walking distance from the British Museum. There are lots of restaurants nearby. The Judd Hotel offers a very good breakfast with your accommodation. I recommend this as a very good place to stay.

We visit London at least a couple of times a year and normally stay in a well known chain of hotels. However, we fancied a change and The Judd Hotel did not disappoint. The building is fantastic and the area nice and quiet and interesting to walk around. Convenient location for our train at Euston and within a short distance to a number of tube stations. Our room was on the top floor which got the heart pumping but it was the only downside and outweighed by many pluses. Would highly recommend and our next visit to London will be spent at The Judd Hotel!

I loved the tree lined street and green space. The proximity to train stations and the tube was helpful.

Great location to travel into central London on underground.Breakfast was nice,proper sausages but not very friendly service,be nice if they smiled a bit more .Room abit dingy with dodgy TV and toilet that kept me awake all of the 2nd night making flatulent noises , bed uncomfortable and tight with the coffee with sugar sachets ripped open

Great spacious room, lovely staff, and a filling breakfast for the busy day ahead. Based in a lovely little street in central London overlooking some tennis courts. Doesn't feel like being in the middle of a busy city at all. Couldn't be happier.

Location was very good, room was quite spacious. Breakfast was very busy and not enough tables. A timed arrival for breakfast may have been useful. They also ran out of some items which were not restocked and we arrived about around the middle of the breakfast slot. Floors were a bit creaky and room was quite warm. We did enjoy our stay and would likely stay again.
