I’m normally a Four Seasons Downtown girl, but ModernHaus SoHo may officially be converting me. I travel to NYC monthly for work, so I’m usually balancing where I’d personally choose to stay with what makes sense for a corporate travel budget. ModernHaus has quickly become my preferred hotel for work trips. The rooms are surprisingly spacious, I don’t feel like I’m giving up many of the amenities or comforts I’m used to at the Four Seasons, and the location is honestly hard to beat. The walkability of SoHo makes such a difference when you’re in the city for work, and I may actually be converting to ModernHaus full-time for my monthly trips because of it. The staff has also consistently been friendly and helpful. On my last stay, I had a pretty unusual noise issue that was completely outside the hotel’s control: the guest above me seemed to have placed their phone on a hard surface, and it vibrated — I kid you not — about every 30 seconds throughout the night. After a few nights of very little sleep, I finally mentioned it to the staff. While they weren’t ultimately able to stop the noise, they made multiple attempts to contact the guest and resolve it. The fact that they genuinely tried meant a lot to me. Great location, spacious rooms, wonderful staff, and very good value for the quality. ModernHaus has definitely earned a spot in my regular NYC rotation.

Terrible experience at check in. The receptionist was unhelpful and said our room wasn’t available so to wait in the bar and she’d call us. We went back 45 mins later as we hadn’t received a call and a different receptionist said our room was ready, but we’d had no call. The rooftop pool closed at 4pm both days we were there for private parties with hotel guests asked to leave. Also, despite a bar being right next to the pool, it was closed and the only bar service was accessed through a QR code which took 20 minutes to arrive. The outdoor terrace was shabby and only accessible through a fire escape. Advertised as a luxury hotel but far from it.

This was such an amazing hotel. The views are stunning and depending on your room you get a wonderful view of WTC. The soaps and shampoos are santal 33 which my wife loved. Our beds were comfortable and they even provided robes and slippers. I dont often write reviews but this hotel was a really cool spot
