Not much to do in area. Resort was nice, laid back. Pool was great. Close to beach. Parking is horrible! Assigned space but very tight and difficult to get in and out of parking space.

Property is still recovering from the Hurricane! Only 1 out of 3 elevators are working and the office was hard to find when we arrived in the dark! The room was clean and comfortable! Beds were comfortable! Easy to find and ample parking! The condo was minimally stocked but it fulfilled our needs!

Its an ok place, the kids had fun, the place is still in recovery mode from the hurricane. They don’t have a tiki bar anymore bc of it, but they do an effort to offer drinks. Dated facilities, many things rusted or paint is chipping, not much upkeep done. No housekeeping done all week, so you have to sweep all the sand if you want to feel clean.

The property was nice. Only 1 of the 2 elevators was working. There was no air conditioning in elevators so they were hot. They were working on upgrading some areas but overall the condo was nice and mostly updated. It was supplied with everything you would need. I do recommend bringing your own beach chairs and umbrella or buying them somewhere cheap when you arrive. To rent them on the beach is $10 per chair and $20 for umbrella, adds up quickly. Also, pool was very nice and outdoor bar was a nice feature as well. I loved the area and definitely will go back!

We just went for the beach relaxing. The beach is easy to get to, love the "toy box" sharing ("take one or leave one"). The pool is great. (Only issue, the jets in the hot tub are too low, for a tailbone massage :-/ ) . The cafe is excellent, reasonable prices, easy, great service, good food.

Really nice rooms - like a small apartment. Beautiful beach and nice pool. Major annoying problem with towels since there were never any towels at the pool. You had to go to the front desk every time. I ended up washing them myself to avoid this unnecessary step. It's a resort - you need towels.

The pool bar is a little odd, as it's in the garage and not at the pool. There's also no good bathroom by the pool. The rooms/ condos were fabulous

Great spot if you’re looking for down time at the beach, steps away from the hotel/condo. Had a renovated and clean suite. The hurricane damage can still be felt around for ex the water heaters in the pool were not yet working but the hot tubs were. Overall great stay!

Beach is stunning. Beautiful sunsets. Location is superb. Outside areas lovely. We were warmly welcomed on checking in. Room was disappointing. We were given a room on the 5th floor. Sofa and chair were dirty/grubby. Sofa bed mattress protector sheet was marked. Balcony door didn’t lock. Bath in the en suite of the master bedroom was peeling. Shower curtain was stained. We were a party of 6 adults, booked 2 nights to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary. 4 of our party left after 1 night. The sofa bed was just not fit for 2 adults. We had activities and restaurants booked for the first night and the following day. On checking out we reported the issues. And the lady we spoke with seemed to already be aware of the issues. She said they would send maintenance up. But we were checking out by then. I would hope these issues were addressed. But would’ve been happier if they’d been addressed before we were allocated the room. Don’t think I would return due to the room issues. Shame because the location, beach and outside areas were lovely.

Im sorry but the room floors looked like they havent been swept and mopped in months. The living room TV didnt work, the furniture was stained, one of the bar stools should be removed asap. This hotel is for families on a budget. Its not ideal for a weekend getaway for a couple.

Our room had left over things from previous guests (socks & hair clips) The room was full of mold in the bathrooms. Coffee table was sticky as well as the floors. Chairs dirty. Blood on bathroom wall along with what looked like foundation running down a mirror. The worst of it all was all the mold in both bathrooms.

Was assigned room S212. I wish I could add the picture of the coach. It was absolutely disgusting. We had to place a bedsheet over all the stains. Bathtub coating was coming off. 2 inches of dust on top of the fridge. Thank goodness for the manager Jules. She found us another room. It was cleaner but the bathtub coating was also flaking off. I probably wouldn’t stay here again unless I was in a pinch or received some sort of great deal.

The room condition was not what we expected. Dusty and dirty. Scuffs on the walls. Multiple small repair issues needed to be made. Some were taken care of and others weren't. No lock on the sliding balcony door, which is a big safety issue for little kids or in our case, a special needs kid. This was fixed promptly. Since we lived only an hour away, we decided to leave the night before checkout because of the cleanliness of the room and sleeping comfortability. We weren't expecting luxury by any means, but we did expect it to be clean. We had to ask for a dust pan to try and clean the floors because we only had a broom. They gave us another broom, so we just piled up the dirt in the corner. The location, the beach, and the pools were all great though.

The Sunset Vistas was OK, and would possibly stay there again, but the room definitely could have been cleaner. There seems like there was mold on the lamp shade, dirty stove top, hair in the tub, to name a few things. Further, and I know this hotel is not unique, but the "resort fee" charge is ridiculous. $25 for essentially nothing except a towel. The have outsourced the beach chairs and umbrellas and the chairs are $10/ea and the umbrellas are $20/ea. If you are going to add a resort fee, do something to earn it. I have stayed at the Don Cesar down the road, and while there is a fee, at least they didn't charge you for a chair and umbrella. Some "marketing genius" must have thought of this and everyone followed suit. I hope it gets the backlash that Bud Light did with their marketing fiasco! My advise is to buy a chair and umbrella and on your last day there, give it to a family with kids on the beach, that is what we did.

Love the beach, pool was dirty, suite was flithy from top to bottom upon arrival, then no housekeeping during our 8 night stay even though promised 2x, can't even get necessity's brought up to room! Broken furniture, holes in wall and the list goes on! Cust svc sucks, general manager doesn't return phone calls. Noone cares other than Expedia. Gone down hill tremendously in one year! Hope things change or I won't be going back. It's a shame it was our 4th time there, it used to be amazing!

The AC did not work well, the shower did not work well, no pressure, lukewarm, floors were dirty, broken handle on patio door, bed uncomfortable and pillows & linens poor quality. Outdated decor. Red tide had us all coughing and could not enjoy the beach or pool area (not the hotel's fault)

Older place, but great location and friendly staff The place was definitely on the older side, and while it wasn’t the cleanest, it was still comfortable and worked for us. We had an issue with missing bedding for the pull-out couch, and although it wasn’t brought right away, the staff was very friendly and responded the next day. The beach was beautiful and easy to walk to, and the kitchen was fully stocked, which made things really convenient. The furniture and beds were older but functional, and for the price, it was a good value overall. We still had a great time!

I've stayed here several times. I requested a full access view of the beach, but the room was in 202W. There was a large tree that blocked a lot of the view. I was disappointed.

The property is beginning to show some age. We stayed in a unit that was clean, but need some work.. Overall the unit was not in bad shape, but the trim in the bathroom was rotting and had mold on it. Also, the mattress was the absolute worst mattress that I have ever slept on. We still enjoy the Sunset Vistas, but it needs some attention and updating.

Beachfront is definitely not beachfront. Also, we were placed in a room where the balcony door did not lock. No late check out despite having to change rooms due to property issue.

The view is amazing from this property! The hotel room is run down and in need of refurbishing. The room was clean but not cleaned thoroughly. The dishes were put away dirty, there was hair along the baseboards, etc. Be warned: this is not a hotel! The person in the room is responsible for emptying your own trash, washing your towels, etc. The parking was very tight! Particularly for the spot I was in, the BBQ is next to it, so on two different days, I had to ask people to move all their possessions, tables, children, etc - so I could park and they were BBQ-ing in my spot. I also wasn’t able to come and go. They really either need to relocate the BBQ or reconfigure the parking!!!

On the beach, which was great. Had plenty of space. Paint peeling in bath tub. Shower not clean as would like. WiFi didn’t work. No cable. Had smart tv but could only watch on live tv. One elevator was broken.

Comfortable accommodations for our family. Right on the beach, with every room having a view of the ocean. We had a few minor issues with the steam from the shower triggering the smoke alarm, and the main door to our room not locking properly, but other than that, we had a great stay. We even added an extra night to our week.

The full kitchen with the washer and dryer were great. The balcony looked towards the gulf. Just a 5 minute walk to Johns Pass. Easy access to the beach. The room needed minor repairs, the balcony door handle was loose and eventually broke off. The staff didnt bother to fix until it was broken. Only 1 elevator was functional for our entire stay. For the price, i was very pleased.

We stayed at the Sunset Vistas for a long weekend celebration. Pulling into the resort, the property is a little snug, but the building itself is nice and well kept. Our checkin went smoothly, the front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming, it felt like we were arriving home! The majority of the parking is under cover with reserved parking for the units - one space for our unit, but there are some overflow spots of you need an extra space. The parking spaces were wide enough, but the aisles in between were tight, so I would avoid driving overly large SUVs or Pickup Trucks there, but this is not something I hold against them.Our room was well kept, with all the standard condo or timeshare style amenities. Though the property is older, they have done a great job keeping it up. The onsite bar and cafe were a nice touch. The beach was a short walk through the dune. The only reason I gave property condition 4 out of 5 stars - when we arrived, the living room TV was dead and had to be replaced (handled quickly once they knew, they were great!) and the house phones need to be replaced (they informed us and I have no doubt they will fix it). The maintenance team and guest services were top notch - as good as any top tier resorts. We will return for stays in the future. The service alone is worth it.

The night staff person was very rude. My hairdryer didn’t work and she basically said tough luck. I’d have to wait until the next day because staff were gone. It was 5 o’clock then I went back later to ask if there was a place where I could get water and snacks And instead of kindly responding oh I’m sorry we don’t have that she just said go to Circle K in kind of a rude manner, I paid a lot of money for one night stay and I expect to be treated a little bit better than that because I was not rude to her at all The representative that checked me in and the representative that checked me out, we’re both very friendly and helpful

The location and rooms were great. The beach was amazing and the pools were lovely. The only issue was check in where there was poor communication between Housekeeping and the Front Desk on when rooms are available. We were very patient until it was 4:30 and they still didn’t have a status on our room. What was communicated to us was that check in was after 4 pm and we would have to just wait and when we said another half an hour, an hour, two hours she just responded she didn’t know. We ultimately found Housekeeping who confirmed our room was available and asked to please call the front desk. They ultimately gave us two $25 vouchers which helped ease the frustration but just felt bad for all the hassle for everyone since their communication system clearly is not working. Despite the check in process we would definitely consider coming back.

Same with coffee. The truck that delivered coffee was a day late. Both treadmills in the gym were broken. Beautiful grounds and location, but for the price, I expected much better.

Worst check-in experience ever. We have stayed there several times and never have this problem. We brought another couple with us and then some more friends rented another room. Was supposed to be next to each other. Was on the completely opposite sides when we received our rooms. It was pouring down rain. We arrived early. Said she would try to get us in. Called back at 2:30 told us it would be 30 minutes. Went there at 3:00. Still raining. Room still not ready. Hotel was so empty. Went back at 20 till 4:00. Made us wait till 4:00 on the nose to check in. Suggested twice if we upgraded we could have a room. The hotel might have been 1/4 full. It was on a Sunday until monday. Made a horrible first impression for our first time here friends. The check in expeience kind of ruined the trip. We were trying to make the most of it in the rain. When we asked if we could pull our car underneath for a little bit to get in our coolers and out of the rain for a bit. even though the whole thing was empty, and we did not want to leave it there, she said no we could not do that. There was parking out front in the rain available. Very disappointing thus time.

We had family down from Canada and decided to treat them to a night at the beach. We stayed in one of the suites facing the gulf. It was great! Rooms were clean and comfortable. There was construction going on but it didn’t ruin our time at all. The access to the beach was really convenient. We will be back.

Went on a girls 50th birthday trip end of April. Loved the condo… perfect gulf view the pool was nice and the property was well taken care of. Especially, bc they were still rebuilding from Hurricane Helene. Loved that we had a washer dryer combo in our condo. Close to shopping and restaurants. Definitely recommend!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Tiki bar is very small, no indoor seating. Friendly though with 1 bartender for lots of people and is amazing at whipping out frozen drinks. The cafe is also very small with a few outdoor tables. The food was good and the staff friendly.

We just went for the beach relaxing. The beach is easy to get to, love the "toy box" sharing ("take one or leave one"). The pool is great. (Only issue, the jets in the hot tub are too low, for a tailbone massage :-/ ) . The cafe is excellent, reasonable prices, easy, great service, good food.

Sunset Vistas is a very good place to stay. Large condo with walk in shower and all amenities included. The pools are always clean and the correct temp. Convenient cafe for brkfst and snacks. The pool bar is convenient but high priced. The place is showing it's age. Could use some remodel inside the units. High priced for the condition of the building.

Great stay! Wish I could rate higher, but due to the cleanliness of the bathrooms(just assuming because they are old) it looks like it’s not clean but it’s just old. Also, due to the fact they are rebuilding the area after the hurricanes there’s not much to see and the area is in bad shape. I’m sure it’s beautiful and I will definitely stay here again if I visit again. The staff was extremely friendly and got my daughter and I in after the Hyatt canceled my reservations. We slept peacefully. The cafe was amazing and the food was outstanding!

We have stayed here multiple times over years. This is first time we didn't have a decent Skillet or pan to boil water... Oh never mind we were able to make Mac and cheese..Fortunetly we were planning on Breakfast at Cafe which was great for us and Grandsons. I especially liked the French Toast. Liam liked your waffles. Someone needs to throw that skillet in 510S away. Not even Good would want it. Except for RAIN Sunday. Pool and. Beach were Great.
