This is real value for money for the area. Only minor picky point no microwave, but great staff, a walk to the beach and free parking, again great for the area. It was a great place to stay (the small heated pool a bonus too!)

Nice hotel, perfectly located between the beach and the center of town. The room we stayed in was renovated and well designed with a large bathroom and a comfortable bed. The only negative worth mentioning is that the hotel, while advertised on Expedia as having parking on site, did not actually have parking - rather we were told free street parking is available nearby. Which was true that particular day.

There is only 12 spaces for parking and that is for small cars. Otherwise you fight for parking on the street. Continental breakfast were good. The shops and restaurants near by are all very good but everything is over priced in the town.

The room was clean and comfortable. It’s in a great location close to the beach and restaurants. The pool was nice too. The breakfast room is small and we had to bring our food on trays down the sidewalk back to our room because there was no room to sit down.

Great location. Nice people. The property is an older property. We had a ground floor unit right on the street. The windows are old and allow noise from outside. Luckily, the whole town shuts down at about 10pm, so there really isn't much noise. The only other problem is parking. They have a small parking lot, but if it is full, you have to find something on the street. Since this is right downtown, finding parking close-by can be difficult.

We have stayed here several times in the past and in different varieties of rooms. This time we stayed in a standard king room. The room had recently been updated and was very clean. The staff is friendly. The hotel is very close to all the stores and a quick walk to the beach. The grounds are beautiful, in the pool is well maintained. Perfect for families and couples.

The property was war, inviting and so beautiful with its flowers and exquisite care for the buildings and gardens. It was a spotless comfortable room, gracious host at breakfast and friendly and attentive front desk. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to be in the center of the adorable downtown of Carmel.

Overall, it was ok, however, the walls were very thin so you could easily hear your neighbors. The bed was comfortable and a nice size. Unfortunately, the coffee maker in the room was broken. It was ok for an overnight stay but wouldn't want to stay longer than a couple of days. The area around the Inn was great for dining, shopping and the beach.. so, great location.

My room was small but perfect for one person. Decorated nicely and very clean. My only issue was on the second night it sounded like someone was stomping overhead all night. Otherwise a perfect stay. I would stay there again.

Overall, a great stay! The location was perfect for walking everywhere in Carmel. The room was clean and spacious. Our bathroom, I would say, was larger than average for a hotel bathroom. Just a note (not a complaint), there wasn't central air/heating in our room, BUT the wall heater that was in there worked amazingly as it did get very cold outside at night, and we were kept warm, cozy, and comfortable all night with that heater. I would suggest keeping your bathroom door closed to keep your bedroom warm. Also, something to consider is that our heater did have a sound to it when it was running. For my preference, it was just a tad loud, but my partner slept just fine with it as it felt more like white noise to him. Again, not a complaint but a preference thing to note for potential customers. We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay again next time we visit Carmel!

It’s an older property in a fabulous location. We had a fireplace room that would benefit from some attention from an interior decorator. It was very noisy in the morning. The main positive point is its location…. Right in the heart of Carmel, an easy walk to restaurants, stores and the beach.

Room 302 was our first room. It overlooks the street. We enjoyed the breeze that would come through the window. Things that I would change. The lighting in the bathroom by the mirror could be better. It would be nice if you had soft closed toilet seats. It would be nice if you had open top garbage cans in the bathroom. The small closed top garbage can are hard to access. Beyond that it was quite an enjoyable stay.

The pictures of the room on here do not do it justice. Our room was more modern and cleaner than what we expected! Bed and pillows were comfortable and size of room was perfect. Beware- if you have a ground level floor you will hear every single footstep from the guests upstairs and muffled talking. Parking is terrible. They only have about 7-8 spots in the courtyard for guests, the rest is street parking and hard to come by especially on the weekend. The location is great as everything is within walking distance. We enjoyed walking up to the bakery for coffee and a pastry before walking down to the beach. Overall, I would recommend and stay here again.

Our stay was just ok, I felt the front desk people were a little rude. The room was clean but it could stand a major update. Lighting in the bathroom was very poor and no heat in the bathroom. Very small room even though it was a king room. Breakfast was included but it was very minimal. I feel they could have included a few more items. I’m not sure we would stay again.

The front desk staff was phenomenal- very welcoming and they helped me make my trip changes in a way that truly worked for me. They definitely put the customer experience first. Great job to the team - including those who helped out in the Dining area (Daniela!). Grateful for my time there. Thank you for a restorative stay!

The property is located in one of the most beautiful areas of northern California, Carmel. The rooms were quite dated and in need of refurbishment and replacement of worn, carpets, bedding, etc. The Hispanic Maintenance and housekeeping Workers were very nice and helpful. The office staff was somewhat standoffish, and I sensed a hostile environment towards tourists. They didn’t make me feel Like I was a valued customer. Just another tourist. I won’t be going back to Normandy next time.

I really enjoyed my stay at this property. The location was perfect – quiet, safe, and very convenient for walking around. I’ve always loved the look of the property itself with the beautiful flowers all around. Then, on entering the cozy lobby, the staff immediately greeted us and quickly checked us in - with a free, surprise upgrade! The staff at the Normandy Inn were very friendly and helpful. Although parking was a little tricky, we seemed to manage. Excellent location that's walkable to food, shops and the beach. Our room was very clean and updated. A little on the small side where the bed was, but the bathroom was very spacious. The walls in our room were very thin that we were able to hear our neighbors' tv, talking and even snoring. They weren't even being loud, it was just at a normal level. I was grateful that we brought ear plugs. They helped tremendously. The lady at breakfast was delightful. It was a continental breakfast and had your basic pastries, fruit and drinks.

Our room was very clean and updated. A little on the small side where the bed was, but the bathroom was very spacious. The walls in our room were very thin that we were able to hear our neighbors' tv, talking and even snoring. They weren't even being loud, it was just at a normal level. I was grateful that we brought ear plugs. They helped tremendously. The lady at breakfast was delightful. It was a continental breakfast and had your basic pastries, fruit and drinks.

Absolutely loved it. The breakfast was generous and nice to have something before starting our day. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Walking distance to town, restaurants , dining as well as the beach. Will definitely recommend.

The room was clean and comfortable. It’s in a great location close to the beach and restaurants. The pool was nice too. The breakfast room is small and we had to bring our food on trays down the sidewalk back to our room because there was no room to sit down.

The Normandy Inn was such a charming inn that is conveniently located to both the beach and downtown stores/restaurants. My only complaint was the breakfast options. The inn is on the pricier side, which is why we were expecting better breakfast options instead of boxed cereals and small pastries.

Great location for walking to beach or downtown Breakfast was poor, Costco pastries weak coffee we went elsewhere for decent coffee and breakfast Also there were no water glasses in the room, the hotel was fine but for the price they cut corners that made our stay OK but not great.
