Fantastic hotel in the centre of Xintiandi with its great choice of food and entertainment. Special mention to Zoe and her awesome staff in the club lounge, with a particular mention to excellent James Yu. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Zoe arranged for our large luggage to be looked after when we travelled to Wenzhou and Yiwu for business and arranged for our bags to be in our new room when we returned. I have stayed here before and will continue to do so when i have business in Shanghai.

Wonderful services specially for the lounge at 27th floor. The foods there are very tasty and delicate. Every morning, we saw so many smiling faces. Mr. Yu is a very nice and helpful person. There is a deaf bellman who is also very nice person. They all gave us a very impressive memory. What needs to be improved are the property. Some items are old and space for the suite is small.

Cleanliness: The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bathroom, while comfortable, was less clean - i found hairs of in the bathtub and old soap(?) splashes on the walls. Breakfast: while less of a variety than in other hotels, the quality was excellent: everything was fresh. Both the European style and the Asian style items were fresh and tasty. The lobby is quite nosy, and it's difficult to find a quiet spot. At the evening, they had live music, but didn't turn off completely the background music - the result was a bit cacophonic. The food, however, was good quality (even if the service was a bit slow).

Staff were exceptional, so helpful and friendly. The room was spotless and the housekeeping staff always kept to our requested time and left everything spotless. The area around the hotel has lots of restaurants and a quick 5 minute walk to the metro station puts the rest of Shanghai on your doorstep. I would stay again the next time we visit Shanghai.

Whilst service was generally good, the hotel is getting and looking dated and the bathroom though adequate is a little cramp. Lighting in the room is rather dim, can do with more. Location is excellent. Service is okay for a good class hotel. Did not try the restaurant outlets.

At the check in, the front desk girl gave us a room with “CBD view” as described. Turned out it’s the smallest corner unit with the view facing the adjacent hotel building. Overall hotel staff were pleasant and polite. The morning breakfast crew were not so pleasant. Selectively welcoming guests to their tables, cook was rude to us, and one server was coughing away without wearing his mask. Overall, it is still a nice hotel to stay in.

Everything was great except on check in the staff assumed that my colleague and i were Gay although there was clearly 2 rooms booked on the reservation. sure you can make a mistake but that is the first time i have had some make that assumption in the 18 years i have been travelling. Need to train your staff better and ensure they are not offending people in anyway when there is clear reservations.

An amazing hotel. The room was perfect, (large, clean, correct temperature and great bed). All the staff were great and made our stay easy and enjoyable. Johnny Chan, I hope I got his surname correct, at reception took his time to make sure we booked the correct rooftop bar and that the timings fitted in with the show we were going to later. He even made sure about the traffic conditions and the whole evening went seamlessly in due to his help.

We booked this hotel for our parents. Upon arrival, we were asked to pay the deposit via Alipay instead of a credit card. I find this surprising—how can a 5-star international hotel not accept credit cards for a deposit? If we use a credit card, there is no processing fee. If we are forced to use Alipay, we must pay a 3% international transaction fee. It feels inconsiderate refuse to offer alternative options for guests. We hope the management will reconsider this policy and provide more flexible options for future guests.

Hotel is located right next to Xintandi which is shopping and restaurants all in one. It's close to subway line 1 and 10, very walkable to other major spots. The hotel itself is nice but it's showing signs of wear, but the bed is amazing, mattress is still firm and our room is still very comfortable. The only thing I would suggest is install hooks in the bathroom as we had a hard time hanging the super large bath towels and nowhere to put our clothes.

Hi i stayed at the Langham in Shanghai and loved it, it was great service comfortable beds, and in a very walk-able area. lots of restaurants and malls and shops. We actually even walked to the Bund. took about 35 min it was a great walk

It’s a great pleasure to stay at this hotel for more than two weeks time. The first experience with bell attendant Andy, who is very friendly and use sign language make us feel better for the hotel. All staff in the hotel are very friendly and willing to be helpful. The breakfast is not only rich but with good taste of traditional Shanghai food some are even better than the reputable restaurant. The chefs and attendants are most local Shanghainese they are extremely friendly with us speaking same dialect. The location is top to none in Shanghai. We are sure will come back again. Many thanks for making us having a comfortable long stay.

Conveniently located in Xintiandi in Shanghai. Very foreigner friendly area and so were the staff. Lots of dining and shopping options around the hotel and 2 different metro lines were minutes away from the lobby. The property itself is spotlessly clean and quite luxurious, it also houses a 2 star'd Michelin restaurant which we enjoyed very much.
