Great hotel, especially for the price. Stayed at numerous hotels in the city throughout the years - most more expensive than this one - and this one is just as good or better. The breakfast was better than I expected. Lots of good options. Free tea and coffee available for most of the day, free water in the lobby. The location was conveniently located next to two subway stops and was on a safe street. The only downside was that the rooms that faced the street could be a little loud at night due to traffic noises.

Room was very clean and staff was super friendly and helpful. It’s in the floral district so there were gorgeous flowers all lining the block. Very walkable to transport and attractions. Definitely book parking ahead in a nearby garage, took us a few tries to find one.

The room was clean, staff were friendly and always available. Many flower shops around the hotel so everyday got to see beautiful flowers and plants. Lots of construction and at night the street was kind of dark. The stand out was the breakfast. Lots of seating, clean, and many options to choose from. The rooftop lounge was a nice bonus too!

The Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott New York Manhattan/Chelsea was fantastic. I booked it because it was one of the less pricey hotels near midtown Manhattan and close enough to the touristy hotspots (although you should be prepared to still walk). And it delivered. Overall, it was smaller than expected, but it was very, very clean and well-kept property. No issue at all with housekeeping. Customer service was great. There was free iced water, cookies, coffee and tea in the lobby. Hot breakfast too. We really enjoyed our stay! No complaints !

Great stay, definitely best bang for buck for the location. Small hotel, but they make the most of every part of the room. Breakfast gets crowded but it was delicious, so it's worth fueling up before heading out for activities. Absolute best part was the rooftop deck, accessible at any time. It was a great place to hang when we didn't wanna sit in our room. This will be our go-to hotel for future NYC visits. And the staff was so friendly, 10/10 experience.

The undersheet under the mattress is dirty, but the bedsheets are clean, there is dust under the table and the wardrobe is covered in dirty marks, the bathroom is clean and so is the floor. The furniture is old and worn. Considering the room cost and what I paid earlier in my trip close to Penn station, this is expensive for its offerings which is a shame.

The Marriott has a policy where the rooms are only cleaned every other day. Other major hotel chains clean everyday. My room was only cleaned once in a four night stay.

I loved the location. When we showed up they only had a handicap room left. The staff was kind but The room was nothing like described. There were drain gnats in the showrr, there was no water pressure, there was a leak in the ceiling, and the floor has gaps in the planking. I love staying with Marriott hotels and the reason we bookedis we thought it would match those standards. It did not. I do a lot of consulting and have worked in hospitality and honestly this is one of tge most disappointing experiences I have ever had. The staff made up for it but if I had bokked directly through Marriott I would be requesting a refund.

Overall good experience- nice location, bed was comfortable, very clean. Could definitely hear people in the halls but it wasn’t that bad. Our room was labeled accessible, which we didn’t need, but ended up with. Other than the accessible bathroom, I’m not sure how someone in a wheelchair could have gotten around the tiny room.

I enjoyed my stay. I booked this room for a romantic evening for my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday (I decorated the hotel room). But I was surprised to find that there was no mini fridge and/or microwave in the room. I’ve stayed at other hotels for cheaper that at least had a mini fridge. I mean for $140 a night the least we could have is a mini fridge. Also the shorter lamp didn’t turn on. Lastly, the hotel needs longer shower curtains or add a shower liner because water gets everywhere on the floor and that is a serious safety issue if someone were to slip when getting out the shower. Besides these issues, everything else was fine but if the room isn’t going to come equipped with at least a mini fridge then I would probably look somewhere else.

Hotel is cleaner than most. We were a family of 4 in a double room. Beds were really small and not comfortable and would not recommend for families with older children. Staff were exceptionally friendly despite the uncomfortable stay. Prices weee through the roof because of UN week which made it even more disappointing when considering the cost. The breakfast was reasonable and had better hot options than other hotels. Fix the beds and you have a much better hotel.

Had a great stay at Fairfield Inn Chelsea! Great location that has adequate restaurants nearby and a metro stn just around the corner making it pretty equidistant to all the places you’d want to visit. Special thanks to Christina Oritz at the reception who made Fairfield Inn feel like home! She always welcomed us with a smile, helped us with personalised suggestions for restaurants, bars and also went out of her way to help us with transport and our bags to the airport! Incredibly grateful for her help and making our time in NY more special!

One of the best hotel experiences we’ve had in quite a while. The entire Front Desk team super friendly and visiting area manager personal helped us with an Expedia reservation problem of our own making. She was extremely customer-centric and didn’t have to be. Rooms clean and updated and Housekeeping did an excellent job every day. The location was perfect for us and this property is right in the middle of floral district so every day we got to enjoy all of the flowers, herbs, plants the first thing and last thing of the day. The fruit-infused waters at front desk were a pleasant experience since it was so hot during our 5 day visit. While the free breakfast was predictable, it was well done and dining area was kept clean. The only suggestion is to crank up the AC during service times as it can get pretty warm in there when it’s full. This is a top notch, well run property with excellent customer service culture. We have stayed at other more expensive properties when we have visited NYC (Kimpton, Indigo, etc) but none of them matches the culture and experience we had at this property.

The property is located right in the middle of the floral district so each day when walking to and from subway, we were surrounded by flowers, herbs, fresh live plants-it was stunning! The front desk staff have the true customer-centric culture, each one of them over our 5 nite stay were friendly, helpful, and efficient. An area manager who happened to be onsite personally helped clear up a final nite reservation I made thru Expedia that I messed up. This area manager could have said “too bad” but she fixed it without making me feel bad abt my mess up. While the free breakfast was as expected, the presentation was pleasant and everything was fresh. I would recommend cranking up the AC during service though, it gets awfully hot in dining area when full of people. Housekeeping was good. Rooms were fresh and updated. One of our best hotel stays in many years. And price was very reasonable for NYC. A+ for perfect location in floral district and front desk customer-centric culture.

The front desk staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The location was perfectly situated where we could walk to almost anywhere or catch the subway to another part of manhattan. Great places to eat nearby and the continental breakfast was decent. Overall, I was impressed with my stay. Other hotels nearby were far more expensive without breakfast included and not in as convenient of a location. For an NYC hotel the value was awesome!

Rooms are a little outdated, but they are clean. Staff is professional and friendly. A big plus is the complimentary breakfast, great options and very tasty. Property is 5 min walk to Madison Square Garden and 15min to Times Square.

I've stayed at this hotel twice in the last 2 years and have been very pleased both times. It is very close to several subway lines and walking distance to Port Authority and Penn Station. It is very quiet at night and the streets are pretty empty once the flower shops close.
