Stayed 2 nights

I stayed in Room 206 for a few nights. Unfortunately, the stay itself was deeply disappointing and, at times, distressing. The telephone in the room didn't work, so I couldn't call reception. Worse, the bathroom door handle was loose and malfunctioned, which resulted in my wife becoming trapped inside the bathroom – a genuine safety hazard that caused significant anxiety. To add to this, the fire alarm went off during our stay, causing further disruption. When I attempted to raise these issues with a staff member, I was met with shouting rather than an apology or any practical help. This was completely unprofessional and unacceptable conduct towards any paying guest. However, I do want to give credit where it's due. Following my formal complaint, the Hotel Manager, took the matter seriously. He responded promptly, apologised sincerely, confirmed that both the telephone and bathroom door handle were repaired immediately, and assured me that internal action was taken regarding the staff conduct. As a gesture of goodwill, he offered and processed a refund for the first night's stay. It's reassuring to see management take ownership of problems after the fact. The hotel has the potential to be great, but they clearly need to sharpen up their maintenance checks and customer service training on the front desk. If these teething issues are genuinely sorted, it could be a decent place to stay, but future guests should be aware.

Stayed 2 nights

Didn’t get the room we booked. We booked a king room with a queen size bed and when we arrived was given a room with 2 double beds. One of the bed mattresses was absolutely awful. All lumpy and springs poking through. The other mattress wasn’t much better either. The headboards was dirty and dusty. There was rubbish under and behind the beds. The mugs was dirty. The toilet seat was broken and half hanging off. We reported these issues to staff after we had checked in and was told someone would come to fix the toilet seat and arrange a new mattress, no one came to the room to sort any of the issues. There was a sharp corner in the room which my husband caught his foot in and is now all bruised. Not usually one to complain but given what we paid for 2 nights, the hotel is a disgrace. We booked for our wedding anniversary and was left so disappointed with what we received. The hotel won’t do anything about it, even after they should have tried to fix the issues but never bothered even trying. If you want a nice place to stay I would avoid this place at all costs!!!
