We loved the charm of the Thomas house (next door to the Crystal River Inn) where we stayed. The room was beautiful (we stayed in San Miguel) and clean. The bed was comfortable and the A/C worked well. I only interacted with staff through messages in the Expedia app and they were prompt and helpful. We were confused at first as to how to check in but after reading some signs, then going through a back door and reading instructions on a paper that was left on a table, we finally found the building and key then everything was seamless. There was a coffee bar for all the rooms in the Tomas house and they had delicious HEB Cafe Ole coffee and provided cream and sugar packets. In the room, they provided makeup wipes, earplugs (we did not need them on a Tuesday night-it was quiet and calm), and a tray with a glass bottle filled with water and 2 glasses. There was also a fridge in the room. The tub is a tall clawfoot tub that is a little hard to climb into for the shower, but the sink is nearby to help support you. Bottom of shower curtain and bottom of tub a little dirty, but not too terrible. They provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand wash as well as towels for 2 since I was in a classic bedroom for 2. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and loved the decor and charm.

Great AC, easy parking, right next to my daughter’s sorority house. Could be a little cleaner .. baseboards etc but it’s a very old place and I guess comes with the territory.
