Beware that there’s no kitchen but there’s a microwave. The chilling room for travelers is often crowded and small so if that not your thing, I don’t recommend. However, everything else was great.

It's in the city center so most of the sightseeing places are in walking distance. Close to the Waverley train station. My room has two floor which gave good separation with 10 people in the room. Room was warm. My building did not have any break room, so I had to go out to the different building for water. Bed was clean, though height was too low to sit straight. Toilet was a bit smelly, but overall, okay.

I stayed in the newer building do everything was very new and updated but that meant if i needed to speak to staff about anything, use the laundry or hang in the chill out room i had to walk across the street. Not much head space in the bunkbeds but they were stable. Lockers in room were convenient. Both dryers broken when i tried to do laundry. Easy walking distance from train and royal mile.

The primary down side is that there is no noise curfew. Also not really a common space to hang out and the toilet and shower closets are quite cramped. Otherwise, super helpful staff and fantastic location. I was grateful for air-conditioning in the room. I would consider staying again when under 18's are at school.

Extremely helpful and friendly front desk! Rooms were perfect, bathrooms / toilets were kept clean, excellent location close to everything (I didn't even have to take public transit!). The only con is the common areas aren't big enough or nice enough given the number of people the hostel.

It probably worth the price. Poor mattress and pillow, constant in and out from people until almost midnight, craking bed. You must be ready for company, strangers from anywhere around you all the time. Located downtown so you are near of every touristic attractions in Edinburg. Additionnal fee for a towel (3£), padlock (4£), morning breakfast (5-6£) Small showers and toilets. (~1m2)

I asked to change three rooms and have never done that before in any hostel. One room had bad roommates (not the hostel's fault) then the second room was essentially inside the train station. There is a second building which backs immediately onto the station. You can imagine the noise from the doors beeping incessantly from 4/5am every morning. All the toilet and shower pods were full of long hair and were not that clean. Staff were very good and accommodating. The location is great. The four-bed female dorm with en-suite was decent, although tiny, but the other two rooms I tried weren't very good. The hostel doesn't feel designed for travellers, but people may find it OK for a night.

I honestly love this place, cut through the train station, across the road and 2 min walk, perfect. The staff are always there for whatever you need. The breakfast might not be a hot one, but definitely worth the price, and the cartoons are hilarious - I’m a big kid at heart. I know hostels aren’t for everyone, but if ya’s are in a group, it’s a lot easier… Bar across the road serves breakfast and has awesome prices with the wee deal card. Apart from one other place I’ve found, this would be my choice!

It was great!! My only issue was the location. I know it was really close to the Train station and was easy once I knew where it was but I was told it was directly opposite and it wasnt!! I spent about 10 mins looking for it in the dark and was getting really worked up :( I had to ask for directions and only then found it was a minute down the road. Why wouldnt I be told this when asking?? Being told its directly opposite when you have to walk down the hill slightly when coming out the station is quite misleading for people like me who have no idea where it is!!

It was great!! My only issue was the location. I know it was really close to the Train station and was easy once I knew where it was but I was told it was directly opposite and it wasnt!! We got a small cozy room with en-suite bathroom. It was neat. The hotel is mainly a hostel with a very few rooms with en-suite . But given the high cost of hotel rooms in Edinburgh in August , the price of this room was good . Can’t complain . Breakfast is provided by a restaurant opposite to the hotel .
