Casa Virgilio B&B

Positives Convenient location...(relatively) close to a race near beach; variety of restaurants w/in walking distance or a short drive/uber away. Pool area. Free b\'fast. Quiet place; can get a good night\'s rest, even with a lot of other guests there. The place was spacious, so you can interact with others or find your own space. Negatives My room\'s A/C didn\'t work and was unbearably hot. Maintenance guy "fixed" it, but I had to keep it at an unbearably cold temperature all night. Neither ideal. In addition, (new) manager kept charging my credit card for security deposit repeatedly. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and talked to her about it (apparently it was a new "system"). She insisted all the charges had been reversed and charged me yet again, even though I asked her to stop because there was still a charge showing. I STILL have a charge that I need to reverse! Sigh. To boot, some of the electrical outlets didn\'t work and the fridge kept cutting off. I credit the owner (?) who called me directly to apologize for both issues. (I had texted the number on a poster, thinking it was the manager, to ask they stop charging my credit card, and assume he received it.) He apologized and offered to switch my rooms, but it took all day to make it happen and I had to ask multiple times. Awkward. Lastly, the hot tub wasn\'t even lukewarm. Asked multiple times to have it turned up and they couldn\'t. Cute B&B with potential, but missed the mark on a lot.

Very very nice. So clean, quiet and tranquil amenities are abundant and very well maintained. Staff is very friendly, helpful, and very courteous.

This is a beautiful traditional Mexican property. Our room was large, super clean and very comfortable! There was a fridge and microwave in the room but the owner, Virgilio, allowed us to use the very large and fully equipped central kitchen and the outdoor bbq. The pool and garden area were lovely with comfortable chaise lounges. I can’t comment on the surrounding area because we hardly left during out 2 day stay. A highlight was the amazing breakfast served by Virgilio’s very friendly staff. I highly recommend this B&B.

Es una casa linda. A las recámaras quizás les falta modernizarse un poco en cuanto a electrodomésticos (refrigerador, televisión, etc.). El refri hace ruido y te despierta en la noche. Lo positivo es que tiene muchas áreas comunes. La alberca y el jacuzzi no estaban tan limpios. El anfitrión es muy amable. El baño podría estar mejor.

It feels like a little oasis, and the architecture and decor is lovely. Comfortable beds, and REALLY good complete breakfast. Virgilio's sister Zoe was visiting and she'd make Cuban coffee. The hot tub and pool are lovely, and the beach is walking distance (though not as beautiful as the one in Vallarta proper). The nearby restaurants are great too — try La Dolce Vita (which is also a landmark to name if your taxi gets lost) and the seafood place right on the beach. I came for a solitary, quiet, chill moment so it was perfect — for the set who want the action, this is a bit further from the downtown area where you would want — the cab is about $30~ USD / $500 MXN one way.

Juan was very responsive to messages, and flexible on our check-in time. The breakfast was delicious. The grounds are serene. We would visit again.

Wonderful b&b. Large room with fridge, microwave, sink, tv, etc. Nice shower. Pool area has beautiful greenery and flowers. Breakfast was great (fruit, eggs, quesadillas, beans) . There are a few restaurants a short walk away and many more within 1-2km. Area seemed safe in gated community. Excellent value for price. I’d definitely stay here again!

Internet and TV were not working. Kitchen supplies were very scarce

The hotel is very clean and well maintained. Staff is very warming, helpful, and nice. The room was spacious and well decorated. It really wants to be an excellent B&B but it falls short. The mattress was old and hard. Pillows and sheets were tired. After room cleaning they turn off the AC, so you always arrive to a warm room. The breakfast buffet was ok but more than a buffet I’d say it was a hot breakfast. We thankfully spotted a rock in the beans. And whether you can park in the house or not is confusing. Another guest said she was assigned the spot where we parked.

This place is next to perfect! Very well maintained and clean. Beautiful setting and colourful decor. Fairly calm too, not much noise around. Friendly staff.

The manager and the staff of cassa Virgilio are extremely kind and supportive and considerate! Bombings happened in PV and they took very good care of us while we were in lockdown. Everyone felt safe and cared for. The hotel itself is wonderful, clean and beautiful!

Ya me había hospedado anteriormente en Virgilio's. Los desayunos antes eran mucho mejores. El lugar está cuidado, limpio, la atención es muy buena, son amables. Lo puedo recomendar. Gracias.

SUPER staff, amazing breakfast (even for vegans, gluten-free folks, and children), lovely pool, and I could see iguanas across the canal one evening! It’s maybe a 15 minute walk to a lovely, warm beach. There are a couple restaurants just a couple blocks away. Cannot overemphasize how sweet the staff was. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Endless free filtered water. Would stay here again!

Lo único que no nos gustó fue que el aire acondicionado es terriblemente ruidoso. Creo que en la habitación 5 ya debería ser cambiado. De ahí en fuera, todo está muy bien.

Not what I was expecting, it feels more like a cheap hostal than a hotel. The kitchen was just outside of my room and there was a lot of noise all morning. I stayed there to rests after a long trip, you can't really sleep in with all the noise. During the night was okay. It was nice that the tv had several streaming services already setup, but the internet connection keep failing so trying to enjoy a movie at night can be challenging. If you are looking for a more personalised treatment and meeting other guests this might be good for you, if you just want to rest and keep to yourself this might be a little uncomfortable, special since we had to walk though the kitchen to get to our room.

This quaint little B&B is decorated beautifully in authentic Mexican decor. The room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was scrambled eggs, beans, salsa, papaya and cantaloupe, coffee, milk, and toast. The pool was ver refreshing after a very hot day. The host is very accommodating and easy to visit with but not hovering. It was a nice, peaceful place to stay one night after a week at a busy nearby resort.

Excelente zona, muy agradable, tranquila, segura. Eso si, alejada de las zonas turísticas, ya sea centros comerciales o playas. Lo mejor es llegar en auto. Virgilio y todo su personal siempre atentos y serviciales, muy agradables. El lugar es lindo, alberca pequeña pero linda, las áreas de desayuno también. La habitación es amplia, silenciosa, con tv, a a/c, ventilador, cocineta, microondas. Solamente se extrañó una cafetera o parrilla para hacer un café gourmet, pero se puede preparar en la cocina del hotel sin ningún problema. Punto a favor: es pet friendly Bravo! Muy contento de haber elegido la casa Virgilios.

breakfast was very dissatisfying no verity seemed like they where on a strict budget kept saying that there where new owners and where continually adjusting. I would not go back or recommend it to anybody.I made my feelings known to him about breakfast and his only solution was for me to mention it on my review.
