The room did not have a trundle bed as shown in the picture. Instead it was a pullout couchbed with literally all springs could be felt through the thin mattress. It was so bad had to request the mattress be exchanged. The 2nd one was better, but still could feel springs on half of it. They would be better replacing with memory foam. The fridge could also use a freezer portion. Otherwise, the 2 queens were comfortable. Beware of the $15 a night parking, but I guess it’s the norm in the DC area

the only complaint I have is the website stated that parking was free, but we were billed 10.00 dollars per day for parking. The language on the website needs to be changed to reflect this.

The complaint - super bland breakfast. I mean exact same for 3 days.. also, it closes for 930am. The property is super clean, spacious and so quiet. I wish the parking was freeer. No pool either.. so average hotel for me.

This is a great place to stay if you're an active person who wants to maintain a workout/fitness routine while traveling. The hotel is located on a walking/biking path. The metro is a 15-min walk down the road. The hotel gym is surprisingly large and has four treadmills, several bikes and ellipticals, and weights. The hotel even has a coin-operated laundry.

The hotel is a little off the beaten path, not that close to Old Town, despite the name, but it was clean and well-maintained. The room was sizable and clean. The breakfast had good options and the fitness center was also good. There were multiple middle school groups there but I didn’t hear or see them until breakfast, meaning the staff did a good job keeping them Separate from other guests. Overall a great stay.

This was our first time staying in a Springhill Suites. The hotel was clean and well kept. The staff were very friendly and helpfull. The front desk staff answered all our transportation questions about getting around the area. Two draw backs. The shower door didn't seal all the way at the bottom corner and leaked on the floor a little. Not much of a problem if the matt was put in the right spot. The second drawback, there are two Springill Suites in Alexandria. When you search Springhill Suites the other location, with a pool, comes up first. This led me to thinking this location had a pool and it didn't. It is my fault for not checking the address and making sure. All in all, this was a nice place to stay. It was conveniently located near bus/metro transportation, a grocery store and restaurants.

It was okay. Good if you are traveling for business. You have to pay $15 per night for parking even though Expedia said it was free parking. I'd pick the Marriott Courtyard two blocks closer to the metro if I had it to do over again. Free parking and better location.

This was a very convenient hotel to the highway and downtown (Old Town) Alexandria. We had been driving and this was our overnight stop, so we enjoyed being near the water and town amenities. While the hotel was a bit aged, the staff was very nice. The room was relatively clean, but could probably use a bit of an upgrade - like the parking garage. The included breakfast was okay; coffee was very good. The only big issue we had was that the shower didn't work. We didn't find out until trying to shower in the morning before grabbing breakfast and getting back to driving. So, I was a little disappointed by that.

I’ve stayed at several properties in the area, when visiting home, but none of them can even come close to this property. They take pride in their property!! Everything is so clean and immaculate, from the parking lot, to the lobby’s, to the elevators, on to the rooms. The staff is amazing!! I don’t ever want to stay at any other hotel besides this one, every time I return back to my hometown.

Everything was fine. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly. Breakfast was ok. No complaints. But be aware that the bathrooms, at least in the double queen suites.. have very thin sliding doors that don't really shut very well. No knobs. No latch. No lock. Everyone in the room will hear every detail of your bathroom visit.. there's just no getting around it. It is what it is. I'd still stay here again though. It's nice.

My husband and I have stayed at the Springhill Suites in Alexandria Old Town/Southwest several times in the past several years. Always an excellent stay in all respects. The staff goes above and beyond to provide and excellent and welcoming stay. Tunc and Kianna have been especially helpful. The breakfast was incredible and the woman in charge was so sweet! She definitely helped brighten our mornings. The front desk staff were also incredibly kind and helpful. Though the area is technically walkable, and there are a lot of stores nearby, if you have any difficulties walking like I do you will get tired out very quickly by the hills in the area. But the public transportation is incredibly easy to use and does have a stop right outside the hotel.

We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel. It was about a 15 minute walk to the Metro rail. Once we parked the car we didn’t use it again for the remainder of the trip.

Safe area, 1O-20 minute's drive from most attractions. Short distance to the metro. Breakfast is not horrible. Staff were pleasant. Room had plenty of room for 5 people. Visit Old Town Alexandria (our favorite).

This hotel was great. It was perfect for our family of five. Very clean and well-kept rooms. Great staff who were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great too- good variety of food and well stocked. Very close to a Metro station though it would be a little bit of a walk, but there is cheaper day parking (around $8) at the station.

Staff was very polite and helpful. Check in was smooth and a breeze. Rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast looked amazing but the line for it went out the door both days so we never got to experience it either day because we were on a time schedule and couldn’t wait. Tried waiting today but when it reached the 30 minute mark and we wasn’t up there yet we had to leave and that was a huge disappointment. It was one of our requirements when picking a hotel

I didn’t like the fact that we had parking I think it should’ve been included at the price which was not cheap and also was not mentioned or clear when i booked the hotel, i actually was looking for free parking hotel and breakfast and also the breakfast could have more variety of options like waffle, pancakes and also to separate meat from potatoes or eggs because some people are veg or don’t eat pork religious purposes
