Huge nicely decorated space. Very clean with washer and dryer and Davines soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash was a nice touch. This was our second stay in two weeks and both units were equally as comfortable.

The apartment was beautiful and comfortable. Only two gripes - we found a sock behind the pillow on the couch (it wasn’t ours). And the parking garage was so small and very difficult to get in and out of.

The Sonder is a great spot with the absolute perfect location. While small the only complaints I have are there were no dish rags, hand soap, and kitchen utensils were a bit sparse for being “fully stocked “. We would absolutely stay again but if you plan on an extended stay pack extra.

I almost want to gate keep this place because I can’t believe how great it was, ESPECIALLY for the price! They made everything so easy. The room was amazing to say the least! I’m still waiting for the catch, this place was fantastic. I loved not having to check-in at a desk and being able to go straight to my ginormous, beautiful, spotless room. King bed, washer and dryer, jacuzzi tub, full kitchen, amazing view, chrome cast tv, big closet, huge mirrors, great lighting, beautiful decorations, just 1000/10 all around. I would’ve liked more blankets but that’s the only negative thing I have to say and really that’s just saying the AC worked great. Exceeded my expectations, thank you!!

The design of the property is sophisticated, unique and interesting. The room is comfortable and well laid out. Lots of interesting places within walking distance Several minor things resulted in a 3 rating instead of a 5 rating: The dishes in the cupboards had not been properly cleaned. Some were kind of gross. The light in the entry way of the room was burned out . Since there are two steps up to a landing, then two steps down to the kitchen and bedroom, this created a hazardous situation Not enough towels for two people for a 3 day stay You must enter a code to exit the garage, which I don’t understand. Plus you must get out of your car to enter the code The keypad to enter the lobby was finicky. I often had to enter the code several times before the front door would open The keypad to the door of our room was difficult to activate. The numbers would light YP, then go off. I was never sure how to get them to come on again so I could enter the code We could hear the TV in the next room. We had a pretty noisy lovemaking session one evening, so I’m guessing they heard it all. Glad their TV wasn’t on to distract us!

I usually enjoy every aspect of the Sonder. This visit was different. There was a hair ball/trash ball left on the stove in the kitchen. The sofa needs a serious steam cleaning or replacement. The whole sofa is filthy, there were two really disgusting spots. On a good note this room did provide a quietness for a better sleep.

Loved the aesthetic of the hotel and room. The staff were super friendly and we felt safe during our stay. My only complaint was that the room wasn’t properly cleaned before our arrival. There was food scattered near the sofa. Aside from that, a great stay and will be staying again.

Property is nice and in very safe area. Room could’ve been cleaned better. Gum on the bedframe. Also shower gel was not refilled at all. When I notified property they said they would refill it but never came!!

Everything was clean except one bed blanket. The bathrooms are beautiful and the apartment all around had high ceilings and pretty windows. Everything went smoothly after I downloaded the Sonder app and chatted with an agent for over an hour.

I got there @ 4:30pm which was the earliest I could check-in. Walked in the place to find the bed unmade and someone still in there. Not sure how someone could still be in the unit cause the latest checkout is 2pm. The lady said cleaning service wouldn’t be able to clean the unit cause they were backed up and someone broke into the unit. This place is sad to say the least.

The space was lovely, the location was fantastic. The floors and cabinets could use a little TLC. I walked around in socks and both nights my socks were filthy. I LOVED the communication. They didn’t leave out ONE detail which made it super easy to navigate check in, check out, parking building access etc. Will definitely check out other locations.

It's probably won awards for design but is impractical. desk has no available power outlets(both used by the lamps so be able to see and no power for a laptop). wifi signal is very bad to the point you can't stream anything, which is the basis of the in room chrome cast entertainment system. AC unit is so loud you can't sleep with it on (who puts a massive ac mechanical unit in the bedroom). Check in process didn't work couldn't get into the room. onsite staff are very helpful. staff on the phone are poor and can't resolve issues unless its between 9am and 5pm.

It was clean and quiet and parking was easy. It was decorated nicely. Unfortunately, the coffee maker and washing machine did not work properly. The mattress was also very hard so uncomfortable. Lighting in the hallway and bedroom was too dim.

Needed a place close to Bayou Music center and it was perfect. Was a little noisy as I was close to the fire doors and stairwell. And every time someone flushed their toilet there was a very startling noise. But the price, location and comfy beds were worth it. I think I’ve found my go to place to stay for downtown Houston.

Everything about the property was absolutely superb apart from one thing, the noise. Ot was spotless and huge, but there was a constant loud humming noise from the HVAC running through the exposed pipes in the apartment. We had our A/C switched off and it was still too loud so had to buy ear plugs but that didn't really help. It's such a shame because everything else was superb, but I hardly slept over the 3 nights so that let it down. I was in room 308 for reference.

Pros: roomy, comfy bed, huge closet, full kitchen, good location near a lot of restaurants and walking distance to a cvs, underground parking, clean, responsive staff when we needed something. Cons: can get a little stuffy because the windows don’t open, needs a shade on the inside of the bathroom door (it has a glass center), some guests were too loud. Overall we loved our stay and would go back.

Our stay at Sonder The Hogg Palace was good overall. The decor is what I call “industrial chic” - exposed ductwork and concrete, super high ceilings, lots of metal and such. I liked it. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped, although missing some basics like a dishcloth and hand soap. No hand soap in the bathroom either. The suite was surprisingly noisy - we could hear a neighbor’s phone conversation - and there was a dog on the other side who barked for an hour. The bedroom is SUPER dark at night, good if you want to sleep late. It would be nice not having to log into an “app” merely to get info about the unit. In spite of those minor things, I would stay here again.

It was canceled last minute with the execuse that it was ot ready. I made the reservation the night before so how can it be ready then not ready in the morning! Storm was days back so it is not an excuse. We had the hardest time finding another reservation in such a short notice since we had to check out of our hotel!! Very unprofessional!

Thé apartment was lovely and I enjoyed the area. However I was there for 2 nights and on the second night my lock pad stopped working. I would put in the code and it would just go off before I finished putting the code in. I tried to get in contact with someone, they said they’d Call me back and didn’t. I ended up having to call again and was put on hold for quite some time. They told me to put in a code that wasn’t my original access code because that’s what they had on file. I ended up being outside the apartment for 2 hours in the middle of the night before it finally started working again. Smh terrible way to end things.

We arrived at property and I was locked out.The code didn’t work.They remotely let us in after 20 minutes.Went out and came back and was locked out at midnight.I had to argue with the rep for 20 minutes just to get her to unlock it again.Then we decided to go out again and same thing.This time the rep told me to wait until maintenance man came.He didn’t come for a day.I had to move the car early in morning due to no paid parking and had to call again to get it and she wasn’t willing to let me in.I had to argue with her.Who goes through this when on vacation? They need a new system… No extra blankets and it was freezing.
We arrived at property and I was locked out.The code didn’t work.They remotely let us in after 20 minutes.Went out and came back and was locked out at midnight.I had to argue with the rep for 20 minutes just to get her to unlock it again.Then we decided to go out again and same thing.This time the rep told me to wait until maintenance man came.He didn’t come for a day.I had to move the car early in morning due to no paid parking and had to call again to get it and she wasn’t willing to let me in.I had to argue with her.Who goes through this when on vacation? They need a new system… No extra blankets and it was freezing.

Be prepared for a complete clown show of an online checkin process that requires biometric scanning of your face from multiple angles among other personal information. This is a drab apartment complex posing as a hotel. This is not a hotel and should not be included in hotel search results. When asked why this was such a complicated check in process the support agent said it was in response to Covid. A more straightforward answer to describe that the property is not a hotel and this was done in an effort to make the property more affordable would have been less disingenuous. The hallways are dark and industrial looking and I didn’t feel safe entering alone. Everything is concrete drab and dark. After finally conquering the check in puzzle, my door code didn’t work and I had to navigate the phone menu again to get another agent to provide a back up code. Bizarre experience. Do yourself a favor and pay a little extra for a real hotel.

I rated my stay this way because when I first arrived, my place had not been cleaned and when I called to talk with someone about I kept getting the runaround about if I had taken pictures. Then the person said he would check on it and call me back and I never got a call back. I checked my email and found an email saying my room would not be ready for me to check-in until an hour later than expected. Since I was waiting for a call I didn’t think I needed to check for an email. As it turned out I didn’t get into my unit until nearly 8pm with a 4pm check-in. I would not have known if I hadn’t called Sonder back myself.

The property was clean, quite and comfortable. Loved the esthetic and the loft vibe. The room was fully stocked with all the amenities. What I didn't like was the code I was sent to enter room didn't work, had to call the office to get the correct code. The process took about 5 minutes. However, what I really didn't like the scare I got on the last day of my stay. I was startled at 8:40am by someone trying to enter my room. They were repeatedly entering a code and jiggling the handle while I was asleep. Thank god they couldn't get in. They stated the had an early check-in time for the room I was in but my check out time was for 11 am. Terrible way to be woken up or end my stay.

I liked everything about this property and will 1000 percent recommend it to others. The units are so spacious and the staff (Taya) was so responsive. Loved walking everywhere and texting with the front desk made all of it extra easy.

I stayed a total of 6 nights. Checkin Upon arrival check in was seamless. I received a door code .. My room was easy to find. Parking is available for twenty five per night in the attached parking garage. Otherwise street parking is available by meter during the day, free at night. It’s downtown you can walk everywhere The room The room I booked online and the room I received was slightly different. There were no fancy art work and decor just looked like a plain apartment. The windows were nice. The walls are thin.. could hear my neighbors playing house all day. The ac units are loud (it’s a loft vibe). & it’s hard to heat up the room with the tin and concrete … There’s no automatic house keeping and they only left 1 set of towels in my room the entire 6 days despite my initial request for extra towels . You have to request housekeeping and it’s only for stays beyond 3 days . Staff Available all the time and are very accommodating and nice . I saw 4 different receptionist during my stay and they were all pleasant and helpful. My favorite thing about the stay is the location of the property, the staff and the fact that I can walk everywhere quickly.

If you’ve been in a loft space before, this place exceeds the expectations! Very comfortable and it had everything we needed. Because it was an apartment space and not a hotel exactly, some extras we needed to purchase such as disinfectant spray, soap, etc. however, we enjoyed the stay overall.

Was good to have a kitchen so we could have drinks and snacks Only negatives were the water pressure in shower was terrible and sofa sagged at 1 side, but otherwise a great apartment I think there had been a cat in there at some point as I could smell it in the bedroom and was itching quite a lot on the first day and night

The Sonder is a great spot with the absolute perfect location. While small the only complaints I have are there were no dish rags, hand soap, and kitchen utensils were a bit sparse for being “fully stocked “. We would absolutely stay again but if you plan on an extended stay pack extra.

I stayed here Thursday-Monday Labor Day weekend. The place was clean. The location was nice. The water pressure and ac worked fine. The building was quiet. There is a cvs on the next block and a food hall across the street with a bar. I would stay here again. The only issues I had were the directions to the room - it didnt mention going through the exit doors to get to my room so I was confused. The lobby was really warm. There were no extra rolls of tissue in my room. I requested some at 2am and got it afternoon around 3. Those were not huge deals for me to remove a star. I did not drive so I cannot vouch for parking. There is a bus stop in front of the building.

No way to connect And second: it was absolutely not dirty, but also not spotless (without going into the details). All in all I had a pleasant stay.

Our unit had a full kitchen. We didn't use it, but everything was clean. This could easily be a long stay hotel. The bed was in the back with no window. That was actually good. It was quiet and we were able to sleep in the next morning! This was a good value especially for a downtown location.
