Great location, highly recommend getting a sea view room. Room and bathroom nice and clean and modern in comparison to other seaside hotels in the UK. Staff were friendly. Only downside is it was noisy at night. There is a main road outside the hotel and there is a pub/bar within the hotel which means people are hanging out outside the hotel into the small hours of the morning. You can close the window and wear hotel provided earplugs but something to note nonetheless. Overall a nice seaside hotel.

Great one night stay with friends. Was a great base for a tour of Brighton. Enjoyed the show in the evening and had a good boogie in the basement club. All round a fab stay.

I liked: The decor, Hospitality, Location, Sea view room, Terrace, Humorous touches, relaxed vibe. I didn't like so much, the broken lift, 4 flights of stairs, unclean windows, It not being made clear enough that I was required to book Sunday lunch. Overall excellent stay will come again.Thanks

Small but adequate, with a sea view. Nice bar which opens late, and outside seating area. Most hotels on the seafront do not have their own parking. Street parking is outrageously expensive, and controlled by permits. The hotel is part of a scheme to purchase a permit, which worked for us, but was relatively expensive. A challenge is that you have to get the permit from the hotel before parking, which can be difficult. This is not really a fault of the hotel, but more the revenue generation process of the local council.

Clean room, welcoming staff, sunny terrace overlooking the pier and sea. The cabaret in the foyer area went on until late, so it was noisy at night (even on the second floor) and although the hotel thoughtfully provides foam earplugs, I’d suggest you bring your own wax ones for extra silence!

Stay at Legends when ever in Brighton, 3-6 times per year. Always look forward to returning; perfect base for access to what ever you are doing in Brighton. You can’t beat a beer on the terrace when the sun shines!

Great overall but lift was busted and we were on the 4th floor. Not ideal. Was quite hot when we were there so windows had to be kept open, and the area is quite noisy.

Absolutely lovely hotel, easy to access and right along the beach front. All staff were very friendly and welcoming, the hotel was in great condition, the rooms were very clean and a good size, great view of the beach and pier. Towels provided alongside tea and coffee facilities in the room. The bar downstairs is clean, welcoming and lovely for an evening drink! We didn’t pre book breakfast but was quickly seen to and the food was beautiful. Will definitely go back to this wonderful hotel

Really good location for beach, sealife & Lgbtq venues. Hotel itself is a little creaky being an old building. The room i was in was close to ventilation system so wouldnt be good for light sleepers (but ear plugs were provided). Cleanliness couldnt be faulted, attention to detail in the rokms was great, spitless kettle, clean crockery, shiny shower etc. Check in wasn't the clearest but after waiting at the bar for a few minutes a friendly bar tender greeted me and took me through to reception. Easy check in and nice stay. Only 1 quip - the shower randomly drained a few times during the night (probably a pressue thing) did freak me out a little but again an old building will have a few quips.

Room was spotless, toilet was clean and the shower was excellent. We had a room with a sea view which was amazing to wake up to. Breakfast was an additional £10 and was really tasty and great value for money. Check in was straightforwards and the staff were friendly. Shame we pj ly stayed one night, we will be back

Overall a great experience. Staff were great. Hotel was great location. Cleanliness was about 3/5. Thick dust on top of shower head. Weird orange Stain on towel. Weird stain on ironing board. Dust over the fan, not cleaned.

Location is fantastic. Staff and breakfast were excellent. Room could use a little updating, but was large and clean, and had a fantastic view of beach across the street. Since we were on the 1st floor, the noise from the bar below was quite loud until late, but we knew that in advance, so can't complain. When we return (and we will) we will request a room on a higher floor.

We stayed for two nights the first night in room 408 but had a terrible nights sleep due to the noise of the extractor fan outside the window so we upgraded to room 308 which was top class and had the best nights sleep the sea view was amazing the staff where very helpful in sorting the upgrade and I’d happily stay there again just not in room 408

This is a hotel above a Pride nightclub, so may not be ideal for some. That being said, it's clean and modern, with irons, hairdryers and more in each room. It's reasonably placed on the seafront, walking - 20 mins form the Station, 5 mins from the pier, 10 mins to town centre. The one thing I would pull up on is the room I had was not as advertised on Expedia. It was considerably smaller, despite advertised as a double, two small adults would struggle.

Reception staff were absolutely lovely. Couldn’t be more helpful if they tried., the room was freezing and so out dated even with the radiator on I slept with my jumper on , And my friend has a medical condition where she’s not very good walking to far but on our way back to the hotel her leg gave way and she got a cut lip , but the security staff made the assumption that I was her partner and had hit her, and laughed at us when we tried to explain ,and told us to go straight up to our room and said we couldn’t use the bar , when I booked this hotel realised it was a gay one and thought it would have a lovely atmosphere, but obviously not, by far the worse hotel I’ve stayed and it wasn’t even cheap

I just wanted to highlight the Receptionist "Lizz" who was a delight and instantly made us feel welcome, the staff were all fantastic and i can honestly say i would happily go back. Is it perfect "of course not" but it fits Brighton and is perfectly located, i will go again.

Great room and view and very convenient for everything. Very friendly and attentive staff. At the end of our stay we accidentally left valuable items in the safe. The hotel contacted us and kept them safe before secure mailing to a future stop on our trip. Friendly discreet and efficient service! Highly recommend and will stay at Legends next trip.

Came last weekend for a one night stay with friends. Every member of staff we met was friendly and helpful. Especially the lady who was serving at breakfast. We hadn’t booked but she accommodated us and couldn’t do enough to make sure we had everything we needed. Check in was smooth, I’d booked multiple rooms for friends and this was all sorted quickly. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had a sea view double room and I loved sitting in the window with a coffee while looking out to sea. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. Honestly cannot fault any part of our stay. The bar downstairs was perfect for a drink on our way out and again on our way back in. If we hadn’t had plans we would have happily spent the evening here, especially as we didn’t get the chance to try the club in the basement. Hopefully we will be back so we can make use of it. The location is perfect. Right by the pier and a short walk into town.

Comfy bed. Very quiet at night. However, fellow customers rise early and the floorboards are horrendous. If you are an early riser then what’s not to like. The breakfast looked incredible. I would stay again and do recommend. Right near the pier and town centre. Vibrant and lively.

Room was spotless, toilet was clean and the shower was excellent. We had a room with a sea view which was amazing to wake up to. Breakfast was an additional £10 and was really tasty and great value for money. Check in was straightforwards and the staff were friendly. Shame we pj ly stayed one night, we will be back

Tiny room to the back. The breakfast menu was not good and I regret choosing breakfast in the hotel. Service was slow and breakfast consisted of two sections with odd choices. I ended up with a thimbleful of yoghurt with very sweet fruit compote and something crispy on top. And after a 20m wait an inferior egg benedict.

Overall good, some of the rooms are quite compact and shower performance was disappointing on this occasion (going hot and cold). I did mention this when leaving so hopefully this will get sorted out. Breakfast is good and fairly reasonable, £10 in advance and £12 on the day.

We had the amazing Sunday Roast when we arrived. Excellent and plentiful and my veggie version was a great surprise. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. Central Kemptown location and the off-season rates made it excellent value for money. My solo room was bigger than expected with a very comfortable bed and nice linens. Strong shower and immediate hot water were wonderful. Only negative for me was the noise level of my 2nd floor room, which was right off the elevator. I heard everyone coming in late and the noise of those on the street leaving the bars. I didn't notice the earplugs in the stand until morning. We paid for the breakfast and were very happy we did. Nice choices and again good food. Would love to stay again.

Our stay was perfect from start to finish. The hotel is in a great location, making it easy to get everywhere we wanted. The staff were friendly, helpful, and really made us feel welcome. The Legends Breakfast in the morning was just what we needed — the perfect start to the day.

Upgraded this time around the a large sea view room :) . Food and service was lovely as always. Only moan I would have is , you now have to book breakfast in advance to get at £10 . On the day without booking is £13. Little annoying as sometimes you don’t know know if you fancy breakfast where your staying until you wake up

Such a cute hotel. Right opposite the beach absolutely perfect for our event. Really comfy outside seating and a busy vibe inside with a modern decor. Our room was the smallest on offer and it was small but fine for 1 night. It was clean that was the main thing. We would stay again it was fun.
