La Quinta by Wyndham Denver Gateway Park

There was a strange noise coming from somewhere that was heard 24/7 in our room. I told the ladies at the front desk but nobody contacted me about it. The fitted sheets on the beds are the wrong size so they kept slipping off the corners of the bed. And the fan in the bathroom did not work so the bathroom stayed steamy for quite some time which made everything from the towels to toilet paper damp. We got a non-smoking room because we had our 2 year old with us, yet the whole 3rd floor wreaked of marijuana and the smell made its way into the room. The pool's heater had apparently been broken since May 1st, so they closed it and it appears though as they have no intentions of fixing it any time soon.

Very nice room and clean. Parking can be difficult late during the evening or night. Plenty of places within walking distance to eat at. The worst thing about the area is TRAFFIC....plenty of it almost all the time!

The bathrooms were very nice. Breakfast could have a better drink selection and fitness center was small. Parking was limited. Room was clean.

Front desk was very polite. The elevator was horrible. You had to wait about 5-10 minutes each time. Everything else was very nice.

For the price, in this location, it is a decent value. The room was clean, staff wonderful and very spacious. The gym was lacking and the room lacked the small details that would make this a better stay. Cheap pillows, TV with no sleep function and faucets that spray on the counter...a few small upgrades and this would be 4-star!

Slowest elevator ever.

Room had a good set up and was comfortable. Didn't like the hotel's "cashless" policy as the only option. I had to download an app just to do laundry. The app also required a minimum amount forcing me to load money I'll likely not ever use. Hotel overall was nice but the "cashless" policy will have us looking elsewhere if we stay in Denver again.

I like that there are many food options available by walking , rooms were clean and house keeping did an amazing job. Girls at front desk can have a better attitude! Breakfast was good. Pools closed due to maintenance. But It was a good stay

Driving around to the local businesses was difficult, laundry was too expensive

Property was very clean inside and outside and I felt safe the 3 days we stayed here! Staff was friendly and helpful with everything. Breakfast was very good and had different options each day. The rooms were very well kept and housekeeping made sure we had clean towels. Would definitely be staying here again if I visit colorado again!

Hotel felt old, The light switches in our room didn’t work. The streaming services were down on the TV’s. The pool felt like it was from the 60’s and needed a bit more love. Worst part was when the room did get cleaned (once in our 4 nights) they removed all the toilet paper from the room. So at 1am after returning from a concert we had to go back to the front desk for toilet paper. Staff were young and didn’t seem to have any personality. Not one said hello at anytime and front desk seemed pretty unconcerned with any issues. It’s a good cheap spot that’s closer to the airport.

There was human urine on floor in elevator.

The room was clean and spacious. The person who checked us in was professional and helpful.

I was impressed with the cleanliness of the entire property, including the indoor pool. Many pools practically suffocate you with the chlorine smell, but here the pool was very pleasant (there's a hot tub too!). The room was extremely clean and the bed was comfortable. We had a great experience.

Bit by a bed bug, not happy. Showed the squished bed bug to the girls at the front desk. No apology, no investigation. I was bit 3x! I do not recommend this place and will NOT be staying here again.

The towels had stains, sticky counters, lots of dust and thin walls. Made the stay not well. Will not stay here again

Room and lobby areas were clean, pool area was clean. Breakfast area was clean and good was good. Convenient location to surrounding areas too.

I wasn’t there long enough to experience a lot. The rooms were clean, beds were excellent, it was quiet, front desk was excellent

Poor rating because of management decision. Using Expedia, in a rush to book, I chose the wrong date for my checkin. Called within 10 minutes of booking after getting the notification and seeing the wrong date, the property would not refund my money even though I booked for the correct date anyways which was the next day. Contacted Expedia who contacted the hotel directly and I also contacted the hotel and no refund was given. Super disappointed in the hotel management…everyone makes mistakes. So I ended up paying for 3 rooms @ $154 each (only needed the 2 on Friday) for a sketchy area of Denver that was in close proximity to our youth wrestling venue, but didn’t even serve breakfast before 7am on Saturday when we had to leave at 6:30 am. Beds were mediocre in comfort, pillows were too stiff. The hotel front desk was excellent, room was clean.

Hotel kept charging me for the room even tho I had already paid it caused my card to be flagged as fraud charges. Could never get any answers on why. The manager I was promised would be in to talk to me. I waited and was told he was on his way and be there 5 min. Soon as he got there he went straight to a meeting I was told and it would take all day before I could talk to him about these fraudulent charges that now had left me stranded with no access to my money. He knew I had to check out by 11. Not professional at all. Even made me wonder if he is doing this to customers to pocket the money. I ended up leaving with no answer and unsure about all the money that was taken. Will update after this is all sorted out

I booked a Two Queen Bed room through Expedia for my father-in-law and his relatives. While I didn’t travel with them, I made the reservation to ensure they had a room that would comfortably accommodate three adults. The reservation was clearly for two beds. When they arrived at the hotel around 2 a.m. after a long road trip, they were given a room with only one bed, which is unacceptable for three grown adults. On top of that, they were asked to pay a $50 deposit, which we weren’t expecting, but we understand that may be standard. What made this experience worse was how it was handled. I called the hotel myself once I found out what happened, and the front desk simply told me that the room they received “cost more.” That made no sense — the room had fewer beds than the one we reserved, and it certainly didn’t justify giving them the wrong room without explanation or apology. My father-in-law doesn’t speak English, and while I don’t expect the staff to speak Spanish, I do expect basic courtesy and patience. Instead, they came off as impatient and frustrated. No effort was made to help or make the situation right, and when I spoke with staff myself, they were dismissive and unwilling to address the issue. I didn’t continue pushing at the time because it was clear nothing was going to be done, and my family just needed to rest after traveling — but this was a clear failure in service. They didn’t get what we paid for, and no one took responsibility.

The staff lied to me on several occasions about being managers when they were not managers some woman named Vanessa straight up, lied about being a manager at the institution and they charge me multiple times on my credit cards on both credit cards even though I went through a third-party trying to get my money back, it has been more than a hassle, even though it was all their fault no one has steel to this day corrected or call back to even say sorry

Palma was a great help with check in. She was extremely kind and professional. Overall great stay

I had no problems, but there was a food truck in the parking lot, which I felt would attract the wrong attention. The area seemed kinda shady, but overall I had not a single issue. Was afraid to park my car in certain spots due tonpimited lights in the parking pot.

The staff was friendly, the room was clean and the bed was comfy. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub but one thing that could be improved was the continental breakfast as the eggs were dry and there wasent much to choose from, aside from that we really enjoyed our stay.

This hotel is just 10 years old and well maintained. Breakfasts were fresh and something different every day. Close to many fast food restaurants and a food truck in the parking lot.

Great service, enjoyable breakfast, very clean and customer service was excellent

Parking was easy. Breakfast was minimal. I had 2 dogs with me and my sister uses a cane so I requested a ground floor room. However we were put on the 2nd floor at the furthest end from the elevator, with no explanation. The feeling was they are maybe pet tolerant, but not what I’d call “pet friendly”.

Our stay was very good, staff and service was good also. As a Suggestion Continental breakfast could improve a little bit meat options where limited as 1 day sausage next day no meat available. Besides that our stay was good and the hotel location and dining options are very good.

It was convenient to I-70. We’ve stayed at several LaQuinta properties across the US. This property did not rise to the standards that other properties have met and exceeded. The room key card reader was in poor repair and it took multiple attempts to open even after getting new cards. There wasn’t ample supplies ie toilet paper, hand soap, in the room. There was no hot water. It was tepid at best. The breakfast bar was lacking coffee creamer and the hot food was cold. There wasn’t an attendant present to replenish or direct concerns r/t the food.
