Nice place, great staff. Nice to have parking right across the street. Great to have a big old sauna that's super hot. Pool area is nice, and breakfast is good. Very good value as well.

Pretty quiet place , I rarely heard neighbors ! Good AC and little kitchenette, there were little things they forgot about like starting the dishwasher of dishes prior to us and the pool was closed our whole four day stay but other than that very convenient location able to walk everywhere for the most part !

Cons: No room service so we had to get our own towels and empty the trashes daily. Room key cards that also activated the elevators deactivated at least twice daily which was extremely inconvenient. Pool was tiny so it always seemed busy. Continental breakfast left a lot to be desired. Pros: Friendly staff, awesome location in Canal Park, connected to restaurants and breweries, good price, off-street parking across the very busy road. Tip: Know whether you book the suite or the condo as they are very different.

Love the location of the Suites. It’s quiet and has a great breakfast. Some areas are outdated. Could use upgrades on beds. They were down to only one elevator as well

Pool, Sauna, jacuzzi. Are pleasing to my ears and an amenity that is necessary why accommodating on the road. Having some nerve damage and pain helps me get through the day so that’s a plus and come in here made my trip so much more comfortable along with having access to breakfast on a daily at no additional cost restaurant located within the hotel and a ton of other things to do within walking distance. The rooms were very spacious, comfortable clean. There was an exception of our room where I could see the corner beam protruding out of the wall on a finished war. Otherwise, the room was in good condition. The hotel was in good condition and it was in a perfect location in Canal Park right off the water.

This hotel has a great location in Canal park. Parking lot is ok but need to cross the street. Hotel is dog friendly but it is a long walk to get to a grassy area for the dog.

Located right in the beating heart of canal Park Right where we wanted to be and walkable to the lake walk, the canal, the aerial lift bridge, and more restaurants than I could eat at in the month. The room was an excellent suite, full kitchen for those meals you may want to cook. Nice large pool area, excellent breakfast. There is also convenient parking on either side of the building that was free. We plan to stay there again next time we're in Duluth.

The room was great, except for the partially eaten sub sandwich in the fridge. There are 2 doors into the windowless suite, but the key only worked on one of them, and sometimes it was one, and other times, the other one? very strange. We didn’t use the hotel’s wifi. There was a used towel hanging at the back of the bathroom door and dirty utensils in the dishwasher. The nightstand, tv console and table surfaces were dusty. The tv was not plugged in at the back as well! We’ve informed the guy at the reception right away and he did apologize. But, unfortunately didn’t rectify the situation. We’ve called and requested for bed linens and pillows that took us more than 30 minutes to wait. The guy at the reception said he’ll bring them “when he get the chance.”. There were no other staffs around aside from the two guys at the reception. I have to go down and get them myself as we’re all tired especially the kids, from the long travel. We also took the initiative to at least dust off the surfaces so that we can already prepare for sleep. I was not comfortable and feel unsafe with the parking area as It was across the street and in an open area. Despite of it all, bathroom was new, bed was comfortable and the AC was good!

Arrived and were told that the room was clean and ready. Given the keys and upon entering the room it was still untouched from the previous guest, needs unmade and garbage laying around. Went to the front desk and were told that her computer says it was cleaned so she wasn't sure what was going on. We were told to return after 4 and it should be ready. Upon return it still was not cleaned so the front desk moved us to a different room. The first bed was completely broken. The second bed had sheets with obvious stains. There was hair on the toilet seat and on the shower wall. The TV in the living area was missing it's power cord. The only positive was the view of canal park.

I've stayed here many years ago before it was updated. I liked it then even if it was older. Its a very unique building. We had a 2 bed 2 bath suite. Very spacious and I thought the update was very well done. We came in on a Sunday after a very busy Saturday night. Cleaning staff was overwhelmed. We didn't get to check in til an hour after normal check in time. That was ok because I understood how busy they'd been. HOWEVER, our room had been vaccumed and had clean towels. Other than that I'm not sure what else they did. I expect the room to be clean wherever I go. To say it was gross is an understatement. The capper for me was obviously recently stained sheets!!!! Ick. Yuck. Ahhhhh. Ok that being said, the front desk staff was consistently nice. I was very calm when I went to show a picture. She gave me the GMs email. I sent her an email right away and she responded with the most satisfactory outcome for me personally. So, bad stay. Good outcome overall. Would I stay again? Not sure but they did all the right things to try to make me happy. That says a lot to me.

The room we were in had dog hair all over the floor and furniture. We found a dirty sock on the floor and a pill on the nightstand. It was very obvious that it was not vacuumed or cleaned well at all. Very disappointed

Our hotel room had no windows! Then the lighting was horrible - flickering bulbs, some lamps didn’t work at all and I had to use my flashlight at times, even with all of the lights on because we couldn’t see into the open closet and kitchen. Bedding had cigarette holes in it. Hasn’t been updated for way too long so all felt grimy and dirty and cheap. Cleanliness in the room, the elevators, the pool, everywhere was gross and dirty. We only stayed two of the four nights because it was so gross and creepy. No comfortable or relaxing at all. At one point the fire alarm went off in our room for no reason and the front desk called to see if I was burning something. My kids got really scared after that and wanted to leave (they love notes and are great travelers). The front desk never checked on our room after the fire alarm went off. And never followed up. There were not enough towels and had to call for more. The pool never had towels stocked. A really big bummer after planning a four night trip with my kids. I was told it was an economy room, and it was still over $600 for two nights?! Suck it. Wasted time.

Room was good, only bad moment was when we opened the sofa bed to use it. No sheets or bedding and the mattress was beyond pee stained.. it was super soiled. It was 11 pm , we called the desk for bedding and pillows and they responded promptly. We didn’t mention the mattress being the hour of night and we wanted to go to bed. The mattress should have been thrown away. They should check them before renting the room.

This is a great hotel location. The rooms are quite outdated if that matters to you. It was quite noisy. The sound traveled a lot. We had a middle room with a hallway on either side which probably contributed to the noise. The bed was decent. The staff was very nice and let us have a late checkout which was helpful. The pool area looked nice, we didn’t use it though. Overall the best thing was its location. Right by the marina and all the little shops and restaurants.

The room wasn't ready until after 6pm, multiple people waiting for their rooms. I have since seen there are consistent reviews complaining of this over the past 3 months. The staff's response was they didn't know what to do, couldn't help and recommended we talk to the manager. When I went to the front desk in the morning, 3 people there not engaged with customers and I stood there for over a minute until someone acknowledged me standing there. When asked how my stay was and i described how bad it was, she apologized and then that was it. Never again at this place.

Check in time was 4pm we didn’t get there till 4:45 and our room wasn’t even ready not sure why they wouldn’t have told us that ahead of time cause our room wasn’t ready till 7:30. the staff didn’t even care, were very unempathetic because we booked through “third party”

There was an issue with our reservation not updating on their end through expedia and the front desk guy worked it out quickly and efficiently. I could tell that it was the last thing he wanted to deal with on Christmas day but he was so kind and got everything sorted out so quickly for us and got us into a great room without much of a wait at all.

I have stayed at this hotel many times. It’s been recently renovated and the rooms are nice. My only complaint is there was a front desk woman who was rude and combative with us checking in and checking out. The evening front desk staff were completely opposite- they were amazing. So this was probably a one off experience but in general we love staying here. It’s perfect for families.

The lady at the front desk was not personable, was in a terrible mood, was yelling at people on the phone, she was downright scary! Also the fire alarm went off and we had no place to go while they fixed it.

Got there at 4:00. Room was not ready, “be a few minutes.” 2 hours and 20 minutes later they still were not able to estimate a ready time. “Many of the cleaning staff did not show up.” Expedia chat was helpful getting the room cancelled, but I had problems at the front desk getting them to confirm the cancellation and that I would not be billed. A real mess.

When My friend and I showed up to check in to the hotel at the 4pm check in time our room was not ready. We waited 4 hours past check in time for the room to be ready. I checked around 7pm and our room was still not ready. They took down my name and number and said they would call when the room was ready. I never got a phone call so I came back around 830pm to check and then the room was ready. It would have been nice to recieve the phone call like I was told I was going to get because it made me concerned the room was still not ready. I did not like having to wait that long to get into my room. The room was nice. It had everything we needed.

Located right in the beating heart of canal Park Right where we wanted to be and walkable to the lake walk, the canal, the aerial lift bridge, and more restaurants than I could eat at in the month. The room was an excellent suite, full kitchen for those meals you may want to cook. Nice large pool area, excellent breakfast. There is also convenient parking on either side of the building that was free. We plan to stay there again next time we're in Duluth.

Nice place, great staff. Nice to have parking right across the street. Great to have a big old sauna that's super hot. Pool area is nice, and breakfast is good. Very good value as well.

Check-in went so quickly and easily. Friendly staff. Rooms were very clean and nice and beds were very comfortable. Lots of places to eat within a short walking distance. Breakfast was great, though a suggestion would be to put the wafflemakers towards the end of the line as it created a backup of people waiting at the beginning of the line. Would definitely stay here again.

Large rooms, clean, comfortable and easy parking. We didn’t use the kitchen because there were so many dining options nearby but it had everything in it to cook if you wanted too. Breakfast had a large variety.

Parking can be tough late on a weekend night. Staff was beyond great. Late night dining options (after 1030 or so) limited to Old Chicago next door. Hoops Brewery put their front entrance is definately worth quenching your thirst at. Beds were comfy, not too soft but not a slab of wood either. Rooms were clean and well laid out. Had zero issues!

Only truly bad thing was the breakfast. No milk. No meat. Pounder eggs looked like oatmeal and by 8 alomst all the pasteries were gone and there were a ton of people still coming in.

A nice property nestled right into the crazy that is Canal Park. I love the elevators requiring card insertion, as extra security is never a bad thing. The staff was awesome, always having answers and being very efficient with our requests. The breakfast buffet was very good! The only downsides were the phones in our room not having their cords attached, and the shower drain was not sloped enough or unclogged to properly drain the water during showers. Other than that, it was a great stay!
