The room was spotless and so spacious. The grounds were beautiful, especially considering the establishment was recovering from Hurricane Melissa. Breakfasts were amazing. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

This was my second stay at Villa Sonate. My first stay was so wonderful I was glad to return. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The rooms are clean, comfortable and have nice furnishings. Each room has its own veranda with 2 chairs and a table. I enjoyed sitting outside to read. The housekeeping staff is great. Everyone at Villa Sonate is welcoming and helpful. The cooks prepare delicious and satisfying Jamaican breakfasts and made sure to accommodate my meat and gluten-free diet. Another wonderful stay!

It was reasonably priced, had a clean pool, and clean surroundings. It is about 6 minutes from popular eating spots and beaches. I had only one dislike which was the jet tub. When the jet was turned on, alot of black sediments came out, seems it is needs cleaning.

I arrived a day early to Jamaica for a wedding and needed a place to stay for the night. I’m always looking for a great deal but try to find something local and safe. I read reviews so I know how important they are. I was skeptical of the price because normally it means the place is dirty or unsafe. The Villa Sonate is neither! Upon arriving I immediately noticed that it was a gated property with a security guard that verified my reservation before escorting me to the front desk where I was welcomed by Jo and another lovely woman who checked me in. The check in process was simple and I was able to pay by credit card without any hassle. I was then given a welcome drink which I think was a mango smoothie which was delicious. I was shown to my room which had its own private covered balcony with a gate I was unaware that dinner Was an option when booking through Expedia and I did not want to explore the area because I was extremely tired. I was told dinner reservations needed to be booked in advance, however Jo reached out to the cook and were able to provide a beautiful dinner. I had the mixed chicken and fish plate with rice and vegetables. It was absolutely delicious and the vegetable were magnificent. My room was very clean spacious and had everything I needed. The TV had Netflix and the Wi-Fi was reliable across the property. There were not many people staying at the villa, so it did feel like I was being catered to as a special guest, which felt great. Great place! Thx!!!

Villa Sonate is a lovely property with a very welcoming staff. My room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and always had toiletries and clean, thick towels. Excellent and friendly service from waiters/bartenders. The chef prepared delicious meals, and the Blue Mountain coffee was a great start yo the day. The pool was out of services throughout our five day stay, and our second floor bathroom did not have a window or fan. More attention to details and finishes and this would be 5-star.

We visited for 4 days, 3 night and had an enjoyable stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The Jamaican breakfast was delicious! We also ordered dinner one evening and it was wonderful as well. The food was flavorful and we can tell fresh ingredients were used. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. The room has a fan and an ac unit so the temperature is always comfortable. Its a very quiet environment. I wish I could have dipped in the pool but it kept raining on and off while we were there. Some minor things to make note of - the roads leading to the hotel are pretty bad so take caution when driving. The shower drain in the bathroom was pretty clogged the first couple nights we were there, but when we informed them of the issue, housekeeping and maintenance quickly fixed it. The cable on the TV didn’t work, but the tv has access to streaming apps which we watched instead. The beds are also on the harder side. We met one of the owners during our stay, and she is a very lovely lady!!! If you’re looking for a lowkey, homey, bed and breakfast with delicious food, this is the perfect stay!! It’s also a great opportunity to support a black business!!

We visited for 4 days, 3 night and had an enjoyable stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The Jamaican breakfast was delicious! We also ordered dinner one evening and it was wonderful as well. The food was flavorful and we can tell fresh ingredients were used. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. The room has a fan and an ac unit so the temperature is always comfortable. Its a very quiet environment. I wish I could have dipped in the pool but it kept raining on and off while we were there. Some minor things to make note of - the roads leading to the hotel are pretty bad so take caution when driving. The shower drain in the bathroom was pretty clogged the first couple nights we were there, but when we informed them of the issue, housekeeping and maintenance quickly fixed it. The cable on the TV didn’t work, but the tv has access to streaming apps which we watched instead. The beds are also on the harder side. We met one of the owners during our stay, and she is a very lovely lady!!! If you’re looking for a lowkey, homey, bed and breakfast with delicious food, this is the perfect stay!! It’s also a great opportunity to support a black business!!

I arrived a day early to Jamaica for a wedding and needed a place to stay for the night. I’m always looking for a great deal but try to find something local and safe. I read reviews so I know how important they are. I was skeptical of the price because normally it means the place is dirty or unsafe. The Villa Sonate is neither! Upon arriving I immediately noticed that it was a gated property with a security guard that verified my reservation before escorting me to the front desk where I was welcomed by Jo and another lovely woman who checked me in. The check in process was simple and I was able to pay by credit card without any hassle. I was then given a welcome drink which I think was a mango smoothie which was delicious. I was shown to my room which had its own private covered balcony with a gate I was unaware that dinner Was an option when booking through Expedia and I did not want to explore the area because I was extremely tired. I was told dinner reservations needed to be booked in advance, however Jo reached out to the cook and were able to provide a beautiful dinner. I had the mixed chicken and fish plate with rice and vegetables. It was absolutely delicious and the vegetable were magnificent. My room was very clean spacious and had everything I needed. The TV had Netflix and the Wi-Fi was reliable across the property. There were not many people staying at the villa, so it did feel like I was being catered to as a special guest, which felt great. It was reasonably priced, had a clean pool, and clean surroundings. It is about 6 minutes from popular eating spots and beaches. I had only one dislike which was the jet tub. When the jet was turned on, alot of black sediments came out, seems it is needs cleaning.

This was my second stay at Villa Sonate. My first stay was so wonderful I was glad to return. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The rooms are clean, comfortable and have nice furnishings. Each room has its own veranda with 2 chairs and a table. I enjoyed sitting outside to read. The housekeeping staff is great. Everyone at Villa Sonate is welcoming and helpful. The cooks prepare delicious and satisfying Jamaican breakfasts and made sure to accommodate my meat and gluten-free diet. Another wonderful stay!

The staff was very friendly and professional. Everyone I dealt with was helpful. The grounds were well kept and the plants were beautiful. Breakfast was delicious every day. I would suggest that they offer more local fruits especially fruits in season. The bathroom needs to be updated. The shower makes a very loud sound for the entire time it is on, and the bath tub feels like plastic that will break any second.
