The food options could use some help, the facilities need updating but nothing beats this beach and the friendly staff.

It was not 5 Star as suggested. Property great layout. Various pool areas, activities at some of you like, quiet areas if your preference, options of pool swim up rooms. Beach clean , lots of chairs, water boyes for safety, water sports offered. Security on beach. Staff friendly. Building requiring upgrades. Food options limited for dinner.

The property is not handicap friendly at all. I didn't know that none of the buildings had elevators, so when we arrived, we were given a second-floor room, but my mother cannot walk up and down stairs, so I requested a first-floor room since there were no elevators. At first, we were told we would have to pay extra then after a few minutes we were told they could move us but the room they were going to give us was not ready yet so we could grab food while we waited. The room was all the way in building 12 which is VERY far from the lobby so my mother trying to walk back to the front was extremely inconvenient. Each trip back to the lobby was easily a 15-minute walk due to her needing a cane to be mobile. The AC in our room would never turn off so it was freezing in our room. We had to call 3 times for maintenance, and it was never fixed. We also had to ask for 3 additional blankets because it was freezing at night and during the day I had to open the patio door to try and get the AC to turn off and let some of the heat in. The positives were that the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The food at the buffet was pretty good too.

Out side showers didn’t work No chairs to sit in at the pool at all and at the beach There were never enough chairs for the guests Resulting in sitting in the sand for an all inclusive that was terrible the food was just ok same food in every restaurant staff was incredible thou and great weather

Lots of work / construction going. One evening and the following morning had no air conditioning in the restaurant - unbareable. Beach is okay - its better futher south in Negril. People were great. Bed was super comfortable. Great internet. Food choices could use some improvememt.

The towel situation was horrible!!!! By 9 am, every day, no towels at all. 12 buildings, very spread out. Pool Bars close to early at 5 pm forcing everyone to one bar at a end of resort. Check in was the worst. 1.5 hour process and lobby was empty. Said couldn’t find reservation for long while!! Then, apologized and we spoke to a supervisor. Promised to send special something to room and never did!

We have stayed in many all inclusives over the years, and I’ve never stayed in one with such deferred maintenance. Walkways were in terrible condition, would be very difficult for someone with mobility issues. It’s the slow season so I understand not all restaurants being open, but to only have one option daily for breakfast and dinner is crazy. We stayed for 5 nights and only got to try three places. The bars, room service and restaurants were constantly out of everything as well. The location is beautiful and the beach was gorgeous, but it left a lot to be desired. The staff over all was very nice and welcoming, the spa had limited facilities but service was great. The entertainment staff was awesome and we had a lot of fun, but they forced you to leave good reviews in front of them and it felt very awkward.

There were a couple areas of the resort (main pool deck and some of the swim up pool bridges) that had some deferred maintenance, but then we found out they are supposed to be getting a major remodel in those areas. It definitely did not affect our use or enjoyment of the property! Our group of 6 enjoyed all the restaurants and amenities. Beach was great, as was the swim up bar. We walked all the way to 7 mile beach- beautiful!

Rundown, rooms need a huge refresh, inconsistent restaurant availability. Not enough umbrellas at pool or on beach. Main pool looked abandoned and no one swam there because it didn't look welcoming.

The place is not up to standards. The room was not clean and I spent an hour of MY vacation time sanitizing the place. The sheets had hair and stains in them. There were broken cabinets and the drinks in the refrigerator were warm. Food was not available all day. Drinks such as water, coffee and OJ were not served in a timely manner in the restaurants. Our room was switched in the middle of us getting ready for a wedding. The second room, also not clean. There were some great staff members who were very helpful. I understand we all have demanding jobs but the only reason I gave a 3 for staff was for the cleaning lady that came to clean before we moved and the omelet maker was very rude. I felt the manager treated the room incidents as if "we already know" and carried all with his day. The band was great, host in the mahogany cafe awesome, staff at the bars and on the beach delivered excellent service. Mr. Beats and my bell man(begins with a C) AMAZING!!! I think the whole place needs to be remodeled because it has great potential. It is so dead for a resort.

Property needs some renovation. Too much flies in the dining areas on the salads etc. not enough options for food especially for ppl who don’t eat meat. Need more seafood options. Each time we took a shower the bathroom would be flooded. Bath facilities needs to be redesigned to avoid the mess. Lobby into far and some other facilities. Operators barely answers the phone. Room service took two hours to take some food for my daughter. The staff was very noisy near the rooms. No wash cloth in my room. I was excited about going there but I was disappointed. Wouldn’t return

This was my first time staying at this resort, and unfortunately, it was a terrible experience from start to finish. The cleanliness was unacceptable—my room had dirty bedsheets and mold in the shower. It was clear that proper cleaning protocols were not being followed. The room I booked was not the one I received. I had made a specific reservation, but was given a completely different room without any explanation or attempt to fix the issue. The maid service was practically nonexistent, and even when they did show up, they barely did anything. On top of that, the resort frequently ran out of food. There were times when no food was available at all, and when it was, the options were extremely limited. Overall, I would not recommend this resort to anyone. It was a huge disappointment and not at all worth the money. I expected basic cleanliness, service, and organization, and sadly, none of those were delivered.

The check in process took over 2 hours, the hotel rooms, and corridors had mold all over the walls. The furniture in the rooms and restaurants was broken and dirty

The property was dirty, we arrived our rooms didnt have any towels, outside the roooms the floors were dirty, the pool deck needs to be refurbished. Terrible Experience

I was very disappointed when I arrived at this property. Azul was not to the standards of what I am accustom; nor what was advertised. I am in my early 40s and well traveled. I have been to many all inclusive resorts and many that were not. The only plea-sentry was the staff !! There attentiveness, pleasant demeanor and over all willingness to assist. The staffs attitude and Professionalism is what slightly aid guest not to be extremely upset. As the world we live in many are so unfortunately. However, for the amount of money spent on this location. I would definitely NOT recommend this resort to anyone. During our stay: Long lines for breakfast, due to one of the two breakfast restaurants being closed. unkept facility; peeling and molded walls, exterior. Beach and patio cushions not maintained, outdoor showers out of service; resulting in guest walking farther to rinse off or sticking their feet in the near by pool, no towels daily, select times only, restaurants closed; to which Azul only has three. ( many all inclusive resorts have 5-9 gourmet restaurants), limited mini bar water, beer and soda ( to which if you request more for your fridge, we were told there is a daily allotment which isn’t all inclusive. Pool cleaning, mowing of grass and racking the beach were done mid morning while trying to enjoy the beach or pool. (not early morning while guest are rising or having breakfast Room service is not 24 hours, limited selection and one of the times took two hour.

Hotel is misleading. No entertainment, limited food options. Hotel rooms were dirty, molded, bugs/spiders, no elevators to carry luggage upstairs, unsafe grounds water was on steps and walkways. Didn’t receive room service cleaning none of our stay. One night we called for towels and washcloths and they had none. We had to wait the following afternoon for towels/washcloths. Had to be moved from one dirty room to another dirty room. Ceiling had cracks and mold. Water was leaking on my husband’s head from ceiling after he got out shower. Overall experience is 1 for property. Staff was nice so i rate staff 4. Facility needs alot of attention and improvement. The price of room did not fit the hotel. Extremely overpriced, not close to a luxury hotel! It deserves to be a 2 star! highly disappointed! I wish we could get a refund for this stay as it was the worst i ever stayed!

The property needs a lot of work and maintenance. The door knob on balcony door was very loose. I thought the handle was going to fall off. I kept asking for face and wash towels but they didn’t have any for my whole trip. The toilet bowl seat was very loose. There was a lot of rusted areas in my room.

I arrived on a Thursday, there were no towels in my room, I got towels the next day. When they cleaned my room they didn’t leave me any washcloths. I never had hot water in the shower. They never fixed it or offer me another room. The refrigerator bever hot cold. I checked w other residents and they stated their refrigerator never got cold either. I noticed a lot of left over food was served at breakfast. So i wonder when other guests got sick if it was because of left over food. Good...the restaurant staff was great, all the workers I came in contact with was gracious.

The property is excellent in the sense of beach access but the buildings are pretty "tired". Definitely need a deep cleaning and needs a little sprucing up. Our A/C did not work 4 out of the 5 nights with the maintenance department coming three times to fix it. Our patio door would not open half the time either. The staff is friendly but they work at their own pace.

We requested specific accommodations that changed AFTER the reservations were confirmed. The pull-out sofa wasn't a pull-out sofa. The internet ONLY worked outside of the room...it took me two hours and 40 minutes to connect and keep an internet connection long enough to book another flight home. We both had deadlines and planned to work part of the trip as business owners. However, the deadlines were placed on hold due to the lack of internet connectivity inside the room. The television channels were barely accessible due to the lack of internet connectivity. We immediately went to the front desk to complain and request another room but were told they didn't have more rooms available. We were informed this was not true by one of the staff. We left two days early due to the lack of amenities promised and had the nerve to want to charge us $190.00 extra dollars. The manager was argumentative during our checkout. There were a host of additional issues that I will not mention. The only upside was the dinner had a delicious selection of food with desserts, and the restaurant was clean. I will NEVER visit again...not even if I was offered a free vacation!!!!

The beach was beautiful. The rooms were old with the worst furnitures ever seen in a resort, Water from the shower will run into the floor leading up into the room. TV was not working and no hair blow dryer available. Limited food choice with the worst Cafe shop ever. Only one restaurant was open and entertaining none existed. Luckily the staff members were amazing and tried their very best to assist us with the limited resources they had to make our stay somewhat comfortable.

I would give my stay 7/10. I felt like my room didn't look like what i saw online. The staff did offer a room change but that room wouldn't be ready until the next day. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They didn't have alot of restaurant options only 1 speciality restaurant and the main buffet for dinner each night. The buffet was small not alot of food selections, and it was located at the far end of the property lots of walking. I did like that no reservations was needed for the restaurants. I did like the daily activities and how easy it was to follow the schedules. Food was tasty, room was comfortable, and overall was a nice chilled atmosphere. Lastly the parking is not quite on site but valet is offered and it is free

Azul is a solid resort. The resort is an hour and a half hour from the airport and the drive to the resort is very eye-opening. Once we arrived at the resort, the check-in was quick and easy. I had reserved an ocean facing room in the adult only section, but we were put in a regular building and there were screaming kids at our section of the beach everyday, which was a bit annoying. The room was fine, although very cold. We had an assigned butler (Donovan) and he was extremely helpful. We were assigned a cabana and chairs that faced the beach everyday, so it was not necessary to get up early and save a chair. This was definitely a plus. The beach is BEAUTIFUL! Very clean and well maintained. The resort provided floaties for the ocean, which were great. We floated in the calm, gorgeous ocean everyday. My biggest disappointment was the food. We have been to a dozen all inclusives and the buffet food was subpar. Canned fruit and instant mashed potatoes were served. They had three onsite restaurants, all which required reservations. They had a resort app so reservations were easy. The best restaurant was the Italian one. The Caribbean restaurant was also good, but we didn’t care for the Asian one. Men can wear nice shirts and collared shirts. We did an excursion on a floating tiki bar to watch a sunset and had a fun time. We also took a cab to Rick’s Cafe ($40) and I highly recommend doing this. The sunsets are breathtaking! Very nice and helpful staff.

The property needs lots of repair. The property is right off the public road, you can hear everything happening off of the resort. There were only 2-3 restaurants open during our stay. The edge of our swim up pool was broken and when we called for service nothing was done. The television in our room had the worse reception, the voice and picture did not match.

We absolutely loved our proximity to the sea and our swim up pool to our own private patio. The food was average at best. Everything was over cooked and under seasoned. You definitely come for the view, not the food.

The Grounds at AZUL were well kept and i loved the direct beach access with the cabanas and lounge chairs as options. The staff were hit or miss, either they were pleasent or rude and unaccommodating, mostly at the bars, The dining options were extremely limited and honestly didn’t taste good. I had better experiences with local vendors on the road. My room door lock battery died and that was quite frustrating and inconveniencing because of course it died when i needed to check out to catch my flight. Upon checking out and despite being in a rush the push to complete a survey was disturbing. I understand Jamaica is a “take it easy” kind of country-I’ve visited several times, i think it would be helpful for the staff at AZUL to perhaps have a refresher training course on customer service and hospitality.

The couple got upgraded to the different room and we ended up paying $500 just to be in the same area with them. We requested to meet with management but never provided the opportunity to express our grievances. We had only two ne bath towel the first day and lacked hand and face towels for days. Tried to order room service but that option was shut off as well. The location and the beach is great and the staff is fantastic. They need to clean house and hire new management that is more responsive to guest services and able to keep a full bar and food selections at all time!! I would not pay the high all inclusive fee here!!!

Azul resort had a beautiful beach that was well kept. The front desk staff was rude and not very welcoming. The check out staff this morning Keisha, was rude. She did not ask us about our stay nor did she thank us for staying at the resort. The overall staff was just ok. No one went out of their way or above and beyond. People barely cracked a smile, said good morning or hello. The most friendly staff was the entertainment and bartenders. Particularly Cedrick and Sheryl and Keneta! The rooms were clean, I just wish the patio area with the cabanas at the swim outs were cleaned and maintained. We were told the mini bar would be restocked daily but it was not. Seems like if you were a Prestige client, you received the best service while the others were not cared about. Overall, we had a great trip but I was underwhelmed by the lack of friendly customer service!

The staff was rude and unpleasant. There was only 4 staff that was pleasant/ polite/and friendly. The front desk clerk Latoya, and staff workers on the premises was Rashane, Oshane, and Talicia. The dining staff at the Ackee, and especially the buffet dinner was awful. These four individuals made it comfortable. I only gave 3 stars, because of them.

Check in situation is stupid and takes way too long after a long flight. Bellmen are standing around talking then expect a tip after. Rooms are in shambles, falling apart, cleaners fake clean. My bathroom was not properly cleaned for days, soaps not refilled. Mini Bar doesn’t get restocked, when you ask they either never come or take forever. Room service is terrible terrible, food options are horrible. Just good luck on the food in general. No service on the beach, beach isn’t taken care of so just a mess everywhere all the chairs are dirty. No type of urgency anywhere you’ll ask for something and never get it. Lounge smells like a sewer can’t enjoy that. Probably worst all inclusive hotel I’ve ever stayed. If you want a peaceful vacation this isn’t your spot. I give it a 2.5/5.

First off, I will start by saying the Bartenders, Buffet staff and Entertainment 10/10! I cannot say enough about how amazing they are. DJ Lando and Alicia made this trip for us. With that said there is a lot that could have been done better, mainly due with the “Sales Staff” Would we go back? Probably not the anxiety of the whole sales situation it to annoying. It felt like we were at our regular day jobs, scheduling meetings, going over number. Not at a resort for our honeymoon.

Considering we we there during Hurricane Melissa, we had a great extended vacation. Staff was awesome and extremely helpful.

The property was beautiful and nicely kept. I waited over 24 hours upon checking in before I was able to receive washcloths. This included calls to the front desk and actually going to the front desk to ask. My room was not cleaned for 2 days , nor was my towels replaced and they only gave 3 towels total. Calls had to be made to the front desk for more towels. Concierge was very pushy upon arrival trying to enter us into raffle to win a free trip. She chased us the next day , once we weren’t interested became unprofessional. The resort ran out of food in the buffet at dinner and at breakfast.

Not crowded, could always find a great spot on the beach. Would definitely consider returning to this resort!

Beach is very beautiful. Staff excellent. Good tasty. Transfer from airport is about two hours. Rooms need updating.

My wife and I just stayed at the Azul beach resort in negril jamacia. I need to start by saying the main reason we go on vacation is to relax on the beach. Sad to say but we could not do that here. We were relentlessly bothered by people trying to sell us things. Im not exaggerating when i say it was every 5 minutes. In some instances they would wake my wife up while laying on the beach or literally follow me into the ocean. If you start ignoring them then they get hostile. It was unreal. They have a ton of security at this resort and they did nothing about it. I totally understand that tourism is how many of these people earn a living but there has to be a line. We had a "personal concierge" that we didnt see until half way through our stay. When we did finally see him the first thing he did was to try and pressure us into going to a "timeshare-like" presentation by the hotel. Pretty disappointing. Half the staff was very nice. The other half was dismissive. The beach and the property is nice and maintained. Although our favorite thing to do was to go in our pool behind our suite and watch the guy come over with the skimmer, put it in the water for 5 seconds then go back and sit down behind a bush on his phone for the rest of the day. It was fun to see how long he could sit there before someone would catch him. I can confidently say i will never go back to this hotel or jamaica. I would much rather go back to paradise island. Do yourself a favor and go to the bahamas instead

I location was about 2 hours from the airport, the hotel was nice and but the food was not great, it was authentic to the culture. Should have to visit a country and eat the same food I get at home, the beach area was lovely, the water was nice and calm at all times, I will visit again, but I have to go to Jamfest to eat true Jamaican food.

Pros: The beach at this resort is beautiful. We walked along the beach, and I didn’t see a resort near that had a better location. Truly beautiful grounds. Plenty of pools as well we didn’t feel we had to fight for any space at the pool. Cons: The staff, while some more friendly than others didn’t seem to really quite have the costumer service locked down. We would be at the swim up pool, and the bartender would leave for up to an hour at a time multiple times a day multiple days. And it wasn’t just the me specific bartender all of them would do it. Bartenders at the main bars seemed to be unhappy to have to make drinks. (And yes we were tipping). A lot of times would just tell us “no” to making certain drinks. Restaurants. Only one was open per night. And they got quite busy. We tried ordering cocktails off the menu at each restaurant and were told they didn’t have them. Also the food wasn’t always available that was on the menu. Often a different description would show up from the kitchen. Some nights we just didn’t get a portion of what we ordered (food and drinks). Room & Grounds: The room was clean, but I would say a lot of the grounds and the room could use some updating. We had some hesitation to even go forward with this trip based on a lot of the reviews. It wasn’t as bad as some of the reviews make it seem. But it definitely wasn’t the luxury resort it boasts to be. Wouldn’t go back to the resort. (Been to 5 total all inclusive resorts.)

Some of the staff was very friendly while others seemed to be bothered even by a simple hello. The hotel is constantly trying to get you to sign up for their prestige package and made multiple attempts even after we told them No. The local beach people constantly harassed us on the beach and even after we moved into the pool area. After a day or two they would even bother us by yelling things up to our balcony. Our room was nice however there were bats and bees living in the celling. We had to kill many bees and even a bat that hit us while laying on the balcony. The sink overflowed one night while we slept and flooded the bathroom. Two nights later the toilet ran all night and flooded the bathroom again. The food here was subpar as well. Overall this resort gets a 4 out of 10. We travel a lot and this was promoted at a 5 star resort by Expedia, but I would give it a solid 3 stars maybe

Needs a facelift and more food/drink options outside of normal meal times . Too much beach harassment from the locals

I loved the location, not too far from the airport but far enough to not feel like I’m in a touristy part of town. The resort workers were very nice. The food was good. The furniture and setup are a bit dated but for the price, it was very reasonable. The beaches are beautiful and though we didn’t participate, there are many water activities. We went there to relax and unwind and the resort offered that

Hotel tries to be 1st rate but construction and materials used are cheap and labor of installation was poor. Temperature regulation values not used in showers so you are constantly being burned. Alcohol was VERY watered down and so were the fruit juices at breakfast, if they had any. Food selections were often out and quality was average. Scrambled eggs were powdered mix and bacon was mostly bacon bits. Only limited restaurants were open but that was because of just reopening after hurricane.

The resort is under renovations. Only one restaurant open per night and it was usually the Italian restaurant. I didn't go to Jamaica to mostly eat pasta. Barely any Carribean or Jamaican food. Fruit was terrible and the buffet had the same food every day. There was limited drink options as well. Only sprite and coca cola. One beer option ( red stripe) and they serve it in cocktail glasses 200 ml. The food and drink are a total let down. Beach, staff and room were great though.

Please note online azul advertise they has 7 to 9 restaurant what they don’t say is only one is open nightly for dinner. This is unacceptable, went to the ackee restaurant my first night and nothing on menu I could eat. Another strange thing about this property you go to buffet for breakfast you’re told no ackee and salt fish for breakfast but you can order from room service. This all inclusive is really a joke. Customer service tried thou, but at the end of day their hands are tied.

Limited selections, same food choices for the five days I was there! With 10 restaurants only two open at any given time! WHY????

Out of 6 restaurants only 1 was open daily. It was either the Italian restaurant or the buffet. The buffet had very limited food items and the food was the same day after day.
