This property is located on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. It is awesome. The food was excellent, the staff was excellent and we love the beach bars, which most resorts do not have. What we didn't like is the pool was very dirty the day we were in it. Crap flooting everywhere. They really need to redesign the entire pool bar area to make it more user friendly and fun. The property overall needs to be updated as many new resorts have come to Jamaica.

Have stayed here several times. Employees are wonderful. Food was great. Have several buildings being renovated at once. Was loud at times with saws and jack hammers while trying to lay on beach. At same time, it’s great seeing property investing in renovations.

Very good for a first time visitor to Jamaica. Liked the trip from the airport and back to see the countryside. Once you relax like a Jamaican, you treat the staff with respect and try to make out the Patois between hosts. Great gym but could use a few more items like ski ergs and steel kettlebells. Great food and lots of it. Coffee bar was well appreciated just after an early walk on the beach.

Beautiful resort. Nice choice of restaurants. Fitness side was great (lap pool, aquafit etc.). Water activities are poor because there is always something unavailable, missing etc...(one windsurf board only, two hobbie cats though there are 4 etc.).he staff is not so friendly and quite lazy. Dive team on the contrary is superb.

All in all the place is beautiful and well taken care of. I would definitely recommend couples Swept Away. We have twice stayed in an atrium suite room. The room was perfect for us. However, if nightlife is important to your trip, I would suggest a different booking. There are plenty of things to do in the area in the evening, however all the property offers is a piano bar, That is mostly mellow. the aura nightclub is not quite the party environment you would think. The many different food options were great. We also took advantage of the free catamaran trip. That was also fun. the ability to relax and take advantage of day Activities is available every day. To summit up beautiful place, nice staff, safe environment, good food. Zero nightlife.

The beach is beautiful and well-maintained. The resort offers a wide variety of included excursions as well as daily onsite activities. Dining and bar hours conflict with website info. There was no beach drink service even though noted on website, however there are multiple beach tiki bars. Noisy at night from other area resorts.

The property was clean. The food was excellent. There were a few workers in the food areas that made you feel as though your a burden. Service was VERY slow. Bar tenders and servers were fast but not when it came to being waited on or being served. No entertainment in the evenings. Swim up bar is small. Don't order an omlette - it will take a half hours to 45 min

What an amazing trip! We’re so glad we chose Couples Swept Away and will definitely be back. This was our first all-inclusive, and we were nervous about the food—but it far exceeded expectations. Lots of variety, great quality, and the morning breakfast delivery was a lovely touch. The grounds are stunning, and we loved walking the property. The groundskeepers were friendly and happy to share info about the plants. The beach is beautiful—yes, you’ll need to get up early for a palapa, but there are still shaded options later in the day. We’re not big bar people, but drinks were always served with a smile. If you love piña coladas, consider ordering coconut rum with pineapple juice instead—the pre-mix wasn’t our favorite. The gym is excellent, and the lap pool is a great way to cool off. The only drawbacks were no coed sauna and a less-than-clean hot tub. Our room was fantastic—comfortable bed, deep sleep every night, and excellent housekeeping. Most staff were friendly and helpful (a few weren’t, but that happens everywhere). Overall, we had a wonderful vacation and often said aloud how happy we were with our choice. If you come with a good attitude and open mind, you’ll have an amazing time at CSA.

We really enjoyed the gym and fitness activities. The scuba diving is a wonderful option, though it does have an additional cost.

Just had a wonderful 6 days at Couples Swept Away! Beautiful resort!! Beach is pristine and kept clean by staff. Grounds are beautiful and lush. Room and bed were very comfortable. Food was delicious and varied. Water-sports were easy to book and the snorkel trip and catamaran are a must!!! The staff is friendly and welcoming. We’ll definitely return!

Clean spacious room, staff were all helpful and friendly, lots of activities available, lots of beach chairs available, tropical grounds were beautiful and well kept, enjoyed the piano bar.

Great staff, clean rooms, beautiful location

Overall it was just okay. My husband and I visited Couples Swept Away for our 3 year wedding anniversary. We are both in our mid 20s and were looking for a good mix of romance and fun. If you want to only relax, sit on the beach, and drink, this is the place for you. Food: Food matters A LOT to us, so to say we were disappointed is an understatement. We thought the buffet options were limited and average at best. Being in Jamaica, we thought that meant access to unlimited beef patties, but nope. With 4 spots to eat on the resort, there was only 1 location that served beef/ chicken patties. The restaurant’s listed opening time was 12pm, but if you were not hanging around to see when the staff started taking orders (~11am), you were not getting a patty until the next day. Weather: We visited first week of June, allegedly not the rainy season. I know that you can’t control the weather but it rained every single day around 1pm and didn’t stop until around 5pm which significantly cut quality beach time. Temps were high 80s. Beach: The beach was very clean, no trash, no seaweed. It was quiet most of the time except for construction on a beachfront unit and power washing of the walkways. There were never clean towels available, you had to bring them from your room. The chairs were dirty and old. There were only a few umbrellas to sit under and they were quickly taken. Room: Our room was clean and ready for us, we did not have to wait to check in. The room was serviced almost

The grounds are beautiful, but the lobby, bedrooms, bathrooms, stairs, pools, and beach chairs all need to be updated. The hotel rooms, hallways, and bathrooms are too dark.

The property is old needs updating. Pool bar staff rude dirty pool by the bar area.No towels for beach or pool area took half the morning to get towels. Beautiful beach but you can’t relax people constantly harassing you to buy things. One staff member told my husband it would cost him $5 bucks to light he’s cigarette or buy the useful lighter for$5 bucks. On a good note martini bar guys were fabulous. Feather restaurant food delicious, lemongrass restaurant food was also delicious and staff in both restaurants were great. Food in buffet area was ok nothing special.

The grounds were beautiful. I found the resort to be peaceful.The food was good. Many choices. There was nightly entertainment. The only negative is that the resort is dated and in need of some refurbishing.

Beautiful Property, excellent service. My only 'complaint' would be where our room was located. We paid to upgrade our room, and it was nice, but it was right next to the buffet/restaurant so it was very nosey early in the morning :(

The included activities like sailing, the glass bottom boats, entertainment, the catamaran cruise, water skiing, and daily activities were awesome! The in-room bar was great. Check-in and checkout were easy. Shuttle to and from the airport. We loved Feathers! The lounge chairs with rafts were very nice. Plenty of places to relax and enjoy the amazingly clear waters. Cons: we were supposed to have an ocean view verandah suite. The view was of a an old boatyard, so we asked to be moved. We were given a smaller suite with a garden view, but more centrally located. It was right next to the road, so the traffic noise was awful! Also, we were told that we would receive the difference in credits. That didn’t happen. After several calls and trips to the front desk, the manager left a letter for us to share with our third party booking company. She should have upgraded our room. Instead, we got excuses. One of the larger restaurants had closed a week earlier, leaving guests with only option for breakfast. It’s a large resort, so it’s a walk to everything. The locals are constantly trying to sell you something on the beach, or asking for money, especially the guys selling weed. Pretty annoying. The trip to the craft market was awful. Lots of junk being peddled by people begging you to buy something. The same stuff in every booth. The Couples staff was great. Some of the activities staff asked for tips.

The staff is amazing. However, the food is not good at all, If you don’t make reservations before you arrive prepare to eat at the Buffett. I paid for an ocean view but didn’t have much of a view, the major down side to our room was there was construction at the building directly across from us, so we didn’t get any rest during the day. Honestly we’d be ever stay at couples again.

The beach and resort are beautiful. The variety of watersports incredible. The food is excellent. However our first room was terrible (view on a junk yard) and they moved us to a much better room the next day (but the 2 rooms are priced the same!!!). No VIP benefit at all. We were very disappointed on thet level! Bathrooms would need to be improved; no pressure at all in the shower. The room is not so luxurious at all...

We had a veranda oceanfront room. It was right on the beach and in the center of the resort. Many passers by looked over with envy because of how awesome the location was!! The resort is a bit run down and needs do renovation. The ocean air is really hard on everything. Overall the resort was in great shape. The service was impeccable and the staff seemed genuinely gracious to help. I really enjoyed the interactions with numerous staff members. Jamaicans are the kindest souls on earth. The food was outstanding, and whether we are at one of the various high end restaurants, or the amazing buffet, we always left more than satisfied!!

Not worth the money. Some staff are very rude. Don’t be fooled by the beachfront upgrade, you could be on the 2nd on 3rd floor. Our check-in was terrible, but Shanel at registration is nice and professional. Had some unexpected bugs (many) in the room. The best part was the food.

The beach and common areas were very nice. The walkways had beautiful greenery. The food was good. The only downside was the rooms. The room and furniture were very outdated. Very clean but outdated.

Customer service is extremely poor! Bar tenders act like you’re bothering them whenever you ask for a drink.

The hotel itself was amazing — the location was beautiful, and transportation to and from the resort was extremely convenient. Unfortunately, the staff and service significantly impacted our experience in a negative way. From the moment we arrived, most of the staff came across as unhelpful and disengaged. At meals, we were consistently rushed — plates were removed the second we set our utensils down, and in some cases, they even took food we were still actively eating. What may have been intended as efficiency felt more like carelessness and disregard. When we checked in, Benita informed us that our return transportation would be at 7:00 a.m., despite our flight not departing until noon. When I questioned the early pickup time, her response was, "Well, if you want to pay $160, be my guest." The tone was dismissive and unprofessional, which set a poor tone for the rest of the stay. Throughout the resort, particularly at the bars and restaurants, staff appeared untrained and uninterested in customer service. We frequently overheard staff bickering with each other, which added to the uncomfortable atmosphere. That said, I want to acknowledge Orlando at the restaurant and Torgia at the coffee bar who stood out as the only staff member who consistently provided excellent service. His professionalism and attentiveness were a much-needed bright spot during our stay.

The property and beach are beautiful, with a reef just a five-minute boat ride away, offering amazing snorkeling. The beach has both shaded and sunny areas, making it perfect for relaxation. The catamaran trip was fun, especially swimming in a cave. However, the service was disappointing. When we checked in maintenance was notified right away that our AC did not work and it took hours and several calls and we were moved to a different room without a view and when we complained maintenance finally came and fixed the AC and we were able to move back. The water sports attendants were rude and unhelpful. The first two days the wakeboarding boat was broken and we asked if they could call us when it was fixed they said no just keep checking in each morning. We asked for the clear canoe they said we wouldn't be able to see anything come back later. They also tried to talk us out of sailing saying the wind wasn't good. We insisted this time and had a great sailing experience. We thought the no tipping would be a benefit but the service suffered too much. They rules are very restrictive for dinner reservations and water sports so plan accordingly. Not everything is as advertised. They say a free shuttle to Ricks, it's actually $18 per person. No bus to Margaritaville but it is not a far walk. While the natural beauty of the resort was stunning, the lack of service and unclear communication made it hard to justify the high price. Not likely to return given the overall experience.

Beautiful Property and well maintained. Most of the staff was over the top friendly with a few bad seeds throughout. Standouts were the entire Front Desk Team; they were fast to help and always friendly. They really set the mood from start to finish. Another standout department was the bartenders on property, great social skills, always keeping everyone served and entertained. Downside was absolutely the Water Sports team, they consistently shut down activities to guests without authorization. This went as far as me having a conversation with the properties GM who agreed they should not be shut down without his authorization. This did improve once he was made aware. One other downside was the constant attempt of employees either on property or down the beach on their personal time attempting so sell marijuana, we literally lost count of how many time employees asked us. With that said the experence was still amazing and we would return.

The staff at Couples Swept Away are amazing. From the Entertainment to the Bar Staff to the SCUBA diving team, everyone made our stay perfect!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. Only our return trip to airport, the driver(Roger) was not professional. Made stops to talk to anyone he knows, wasted 10 mins to buy some fruit.

Beautiful beach and quiet most of the time. Staff was hit or miss, some were amazing and others seemed to not like their job. If service was consistent this place would be 5 stars.

Couples Swept Away delivered again! The resort is absolutely stunning and so relaxing. Staff did a great job making sure we had everything we needed. The building we normally stay in is under construction but the front desk found us a room next to it. We will be back again next summer!

I have been to Couples Swept Away 4 times now. The resort is on the famous 7 mile beach which is beautiful! This resort lays out along the beach instead of being set back like many resorts. That means you are only steps away from the beautiful crystal clear water! They also provide nice floats on each beach chair that you can take out into the water. Wherever you walk, you are looking out at the ocean! That’s why we come here for that beautiful view. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is amazing and so chill! Drinks are top shelf. Breakfast and lunch were great. Most dinners were good. This resort offers lots of excursions for no additional cost as well as diving. Definitely one of my favorite places to vacation!

Quiet resort with a lot of entertainment and the best beaches in Negril. We walked the beaches and compared to other resorts couples was the best in terms of shoreline, space and cleanliness

The beach is excellent. The rooms a in need of an upgrade but they stay cool. Take bug spray. The ride from the airport is 1.5. -2 hours depending on the traffic. This is a total downside since we basically lost a day.

The staff and service was excellent! Very friendly and accomodating. The property is beautiful and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The property buildings could use a little paint here and there, but considering the salt air, that is to be expected anywhere on a tropical island. The beach is beautiful and the Jamacian music culture is everywhere! We ran into many couples who had been there many times. I hope that my wife and I can be included in a return trip someday!

its right on the 7 mile beach in Negril and has a huge beach from with so much room you are never even close to being crowded

Couples swept away created a very magical and serene setting for my wife and I. So much effort from their staffing goes into making this property absolutely stunning! It so picturesque! They rake and clean up the beaches and boardwalk every morning, sweep the walkways, lots of groundskeepers! Trimming bushes, planting new trees, flowers and shrubs. Gorgeous to not only walk the beach but the whole property follows suit! They cut coconuts daily and ask if you'd like to have one for a drink. Never drank from a real coconut before so that was a really cool experience! We saw lots of exotic aquatic creatures. Starfish, sea turtles, eagle ray and beautiful tropical fish on the reef. So much to do that is all inclusive. Spend one set amount of money and have the whole week covered! Lots of different vendors every day selling local homemade products was a plus. No need to leave the resort as its a bit scetchy outside the walls. The ride to the resort was very eye opening for us. Jamaica is a very poor place. Housing, roads and driving conditions are less than fair. The big resorts make enough revenue to maintain a breathtaking environment. But you will be glad when the ride to the resort is over and probably won't look forward to the shuttle ride back. Watch out for swindlers, they constantly walk the beach trying to tempt you into walking over to them so they can sell you goods and drugs. Everyone is looking to make a buck because they don't have much and rely on tourism for money.

The beach was amazing. Two tiki bars on the beach. Water shallow, blue and calm. A ton of excursions included in the resort package. The second level rooms cathedral ceilings are a nice touch.

Beautiful property love the beach restaurant food would come again

We enjoyed our stay at Couples Swept Away, Negril. The beach is absolutely amazing! You can walk a long way in either direction. The sunsets are fantastic! We enjoyed taking out the Hobie Cat catamarans, which are included with your stay. The sunset booze cruise, which is also included with your stay, was so much fun! The rooms were beautiful. We didn't have a tv in our room, but we were out so much, that we barely noticed it. They have two pools there, but the pool by The Palms restaurant never gets used. They could better serve the customers by adding some music or entertainment to that area, so people would use it more. Overall, it was a great stay and would certainly recommend it.

View was terrific. Property was beautiful. Drinks at bar were ok, some drinks were made well, others not so much. Food in general was good but was unable to eat in the 2 better restaurants due to limited availability (one also has a collared shirt/long pants dress code, so be warned). Restaurant hours were hit or miss. Most of the staff was extremely nice but a few of the younger ones were a little rude). Had to cut our stay short due to hurricane but was surprised to hear that the emergency stay option for those that couldn't leave and had to shelter there were still going to be charged $300/night even with few of the regular amenities available and possibly sheltering in the conference room. I would have had a problem with that had I been forced to stay. Were given room credits for unused days due to the hurricane that are available for 1 year, which is nice (as opposed to 90 days). It would have been impossible for us to use them again so soon had that been the case.

Great staff. Beautiful property. Dinning options were great with lots of choices. Palms during lunch was our favorite along with Feathers and Lemongrass for dinner. Fresh first come first serve coconuts. Beach was never crowded. Plenty of options for beach chairs. They had floats for the ocean/pool on every chair, loved this. Towels always available. So beautiful to walk around the property in the mornings. We also really loved the activity center and the planned workouts/sports clinics. The wellness bar was lovely!! We would love to go back and stay longer.

The only reason why i would recommend this hotel is the beach/water and the turndown/ cleaning room service . we were there for 5 nites and we couldnt even touch reservations at the 2 places that required them, but yet they were closed on Sunday and another place closed on Monday AND Thu!. i did not pay 5 star money to eat at a Buffett 2 nights and 2 mornings cause no other choices. There was water stains and ceiling peeling right on top of the tables at the buffet and the one night it rained the dance floor had a puddle right in the middle of it. we asked if we can go try to restaurants at the sister resort. negative. .. the bathroom door in the room was too swollen or perhaps the floor was uneven so u couldnt open/close without a terrible noise. the tiles in the bathroom had black between them. time for a resort update! While the idea of no tipping is great in theory, the only thing it accomplishes is a lax attitude on the resort from entire staff. they are nice and courteous but no-one goes the extra mile for you. a dollar and a smile goes a long way so do so from the beginning. The drinks at restaurants and on the beach all tasted the same as if they were pouring vodka outta rum bottle and viceversa. The catamaran cruise was one of the perks we enjoyed, id recommend booking it in advance. its an afternoon cruise starting at 3:45. Every time we left a note at the "concierge" 2 days later was gone.. like waiting list for the restaurants an extra blanket etc.

LIKES: Seven Mile Beach is fabulous! DISLIKES: I WAS DOUBLE CHARGED FOR SOME WATER ACTIVITIES AT CHECKOUT!!! Patois Patio was not open for breakfast even though the activity sheet said it was!!

Feathers was poor with some of the food quality. Palms if came for dinner after 830 staff was not so accommodating. I always felt rushed. Pasta station was not the best. Overall I had a good stay.

Water sports exceeded expectations!Restaurants were good but the service could of been better,also more air conditioned restaurant options.

Most important thing is there was no room service other than continental breakfast. I wish they did.

The grounds are lush and beautiful. The beach and water are unparalleled. With regard to food and restaurants, Feathers and Lemongrass are very good with exceptional staff. Palms has a good buffet selection. Patios was a different story. The breakfast food and staff were fine. Lunch was consistently a disaster. Extremely slow service with a lackluster staff. The kitchen staff couldn’t keep up even when there were few customers in the restaurant. Lunch at Patois was the talk of the beach with many people stating how unhappy they were. Some even walked out without eating. Patois at night was wonderful! The food and waiters were outstanding.

Great food. Lots of options. We didn't even try every restaurant during our 9 day stay. Rooms were clean, with daily cleaning at around 11 and turn down service at night. Beach is amazing. With plenty of shade/full sun options. Thou if you want the best seats you do need to get up early ( 6-7am ish). Water sports were our favorite. All included in your stay. Only downside is the smoking, even thou it's not allowed, with dedicated areas provided, you see people smoke everywhere. Really not a strike against hotel, but people being special.

Overall, our experience was fine. The biggest disappointment was dinning options- there’s almost no variety ( breakfast is the same every day and the buffet doesn’t have enough of options) Fruits would be gone in a second and the only thing that was good but the same every morning was omelette. Two restaurants for dinner are not open every night but the meals are good. Entertainment girls are great, the staff in general are very nice and friendly, especially glass boat crew and catamaran crew. Sports team should be nicer and bit faster.Beach is beautiful, very clean and not overcrowded. The room was clean , bed was comfortable but it wont hurt if they upgrade a bit. All in all, vacation was good because that beach is replacing all the stuff that could’ve been better.
