Travellers Beach Resort

Rooms were extremely small, with many issues inside the room and patio facing a construction wall. no coffee in the lobby as advertised, no swim up bar service, waterfall on pool was broken, no music avail at pool. Had to move our lounge chairs on the beach. Beach was very narrow and large sandbags were visible along the beach.

The resort was excellent. My room had a view of the pool, the garden, and a snippet of the beach in one. My children love the tabletop chess board in the recreation room and the pool had a lifeguard. Whilst on the beachfront food n beverages were accessible and that was great. Overall, we all loved it. This was my second visit.

Nice spot on the south end of the beach, less busy and noisy than other spots. Very good service. good amenities. Restaurant has good food and a decent price point. Overall one of the better values to be found on 7 Mile Beach.

One of the nicer resorts on seven mile beach at a good price. Staff are very friendly, restaurant is good and has good prices. Pool and gym are great. Some areas on the resort need updating up but you can see ownership is actively working on this. They have some form of entertainment nightly. Felt very safe on this resort with their 24 hour security. Would recommend travellers as a place to stay in Negril.

What a beautiful property. Small, intimate. Wonderful lunch. On the beach, lovely pool, main floor gym, windows into the garden central. Dining area and bar perfect place to watch the sunset. Small rooms with exquisite finishing; quiet luxury if you are looking for a place to truly unwind. One complaint, we were not shown how to use the safe. Bring your own phone. Definitely on our return list.

Peaceful place, well lept grounds and rooms/facilities. Staff was courteous and helpful, and even the GM introduced himself. The restaurant on the deck, the beach and the pool were highights. Our second visit in 6 months, and we'll be back

This was my second stay at Travellers and I was very pleasantly surprised by how much it has improved. The rooms I stayed in ( I extended my stay) were modern with excellent amenities. The staff at the front desk were super friendly and provided impeccable service. The gym is fantastic! I’ve stayed in various hotels all over Jamaica and this is by far the best I’ve seen with lots of cardio , weights equipment and even a boxing bag! There are refillable water machines on site which is a great addition also. The beach is stunning and the hotel is situated on a pristine stretch of Negril’s seven mile beach. There were always enough sun loungers during my stay and the staff at the beach were great providing this. Areas for improvement perhaps: The restaurant has a lot of western lunch dishes: fried chicken etc, I would like a few more Jamaican options- although I’m not sure if this is more on the dinner menu. I was left with multiple bites from a bug in one of the cottages but also from the sand flies on the beach. I’m not sure if this is something the hotel can treat/ prevent in the future. Overall a wonderful stay!

The staff at this facility were great, but seeing a large cockroach in my room was unsettling. I live in the US in a climate where there are no roaches. It wasn’t something I ever wanted to be faced with on vacation. If I had seen a review that mentioned them, I would have chosen another resort. The TV in my room stopped working and bottled water had to be purchased everyday (free water was available from a machine with small 6 oz cups). Its affordable but I would not recommend it.

The grounds were nicely taken care of and the rooms were clean. A great affordable option for travellers looking to explore the area.

It was clean and comfortable. The pool was nice. I didn’t stay long enough to make it to the beach but the family liked it. Staff was totally on top of everything. The property was extremely well maintained and all of the staff were quick to cater to our needs and went above and beyond.

My little cottage was nice, and the kitchenette was handy. The room and bathroom were well-maintained and clean. The pool and beach area is great, and the staff were pleasant. Decently priced drinks and food too. Overall a nice experience, would definitely come back.

We walked into the first room given to us to find it infested with black ants that got in our luggages. They did quickly rectify by giving us another room.

The major issue we had was our next door neighbors, they were very loud and playing loud music and taking until 2am. And the hotel room had no phone, so we couldn’t call the front desk, I had to go outside to tell them to keep it down. This is not a reflection of the hotel itself, it would however be helpful if they had security monitoring the property for situations like this. And our bathroom smelled liked sewage. I think this was mainly because of the location of the room, room 20 on the ground floor, and close to a service area in the back

The property was beautiful, room is clean but very small. The bathroom was tiny even though it had a great shower. The fact that it had slates on the window that didn't close or lock was a little unsettling but not a deal breaker. However everything echoes from hallway into room, other people showering, toilet and conversations. Not my first choice in hotel in Negril but definitely not last option either.

There is a little bit of construction and updating going on but it was very comfortable and felt like home ..one thing I like about this place the owners are very friendly and they speak with everyone they are not stuck up in some office acting untouchable ! Front desk day table lady is awesome and has a lot of patience victor in maintenance is a great guy !

Amazing place. Room was spacious and always clean, bed was comfortable, bathroom big and clean, everything was in good condition. Garden is beautiful, the pool area is good. Restaurant view is amazing and the food was delicious! The staff was very kind and friendly and always willing to help. The beach area was clean, quiet, a lot of shade. I could continue talking good things about this place, we loved it and we definitely want to go back there. We went there 2 adults and 2 toddlers and was a perfect fit for us.

My BF and I enjoyed our stay at Travelers. We stayed in one of their cottages. It’s a nice one bedroom house with a small kitchen and bathroom. We stayed two nights. It’s about 10mins drive to Rick’s Cafe. Travelers beach is spectacular! From there, we did snorting and parasailing. ❤️💧I wish I could submit pictures

I love this hotel and the food and service is excellent. This is my go to place for rest, relaxation, and healing located on the beautiful 7 mile beach. Wonderful updates since my last visit and loved the new 2 bedroom suites with kitchenette and beautiful updated bathrooms and showers! Great food and entertainment

My go to hotel in Negril.The location is perfect for moving around. Shanile and Orashia at the front desk and Raquel in housekeeping were super sweet and very accommodating. The entire staff were great! Travellers is clean, well maintained and is a lovely beachfront hotel!

I am giving this 1 star. But here is the context. The property, staff, cleanliness and location were all wonderful. No complaints. However, I booked a night at this property via Expedia. There was no indication at the time of my booking that the resort required a $150 deposit fee. I realized that AFTER I booked and got the confirmation email. By that time I was already on a bus enroute with my daughter. Actually, we stayed here three years ago, my daughter liked it and her only request for her birthday was to go back to Travellers. I barely had enough money to do so and used the last of my cash to make her request happen. This in mind, when I got to the resort I explained that I learned about the deposit after the fact of booking. I explained that I was meeting a birthday wish. I explained this for near 30 minutes, after 9pm in the night and the Front Desk Clerk kept telling me that her manager was insisting on no deposit, no check in. Finally when I decided to reach out to Expedia to help, the Front Desk Clerk came to me and told me that they decided to waive the fee. This was now 40 minutes of humiliation later. I do not blame her. God bless her soul, she did everything to act as an intermediary and was very helpful. But the whole experience felt crushing and unfortunately, I will never stay here again. To be clear, I am not against their deposit policy. What I found blindsighting is that it was stated AFTER booking. It was humiliating. 😒

Staying at Travellers is always a pleasure. The staff is exceptional at front desk and at the bar. All the servers are top notch including Romeo, Ramone, Rodger, etc. Jermaine at the beach and the other guys were amazing and my housekeeper Fiona was over and above fantastic. Can't wait to come back in January.

We had a wonderful experience at Travellers. The staff are kind and genuine. Beautiful beach, clean facilities, and we loved the small size. It was more intimate and we got to make more connections, as well as explore Negril. The resort is Jamaican-owned and family-owned, and they operate the NEET, an organization that helps educate kids and care for the environment. It’s nice to know your travel dollars are going to a good cause.

This resort is all about the staff.The staff make you feel welcome from the front desk to the restaurant stop to the housekeeping they are all so very kind... I also observe how the owners treat staff.I've always looked at this at every.ResortI've ever stayed at, and I could tell you that they are treated so well there by the brothers.They are an amazing team of people.

Front Desk staff not as friendly as other resorts in the same area. Our room was not ready and for the first night they had to switch us to a lesser room without any refund. They also charged us an extra $25.00 per night for a second person in the room even though it is noted that the base price is based on double occupancy, I feel they just added this because they could. Room was nice after all the hassle at check in even though the doorknob on the bathroom door pulled off and fell on the floor.

2nd time staying here. Excellent staff and the owners are very present. They do alot with the kids in the community. Best place to stay on the beach!

Travellers Beach Resort Truly Cares! My husband and I stayed at Travellers Beach Resort in Negril from October 21–November 2, 2025, during Hurricane Melissa, a Category 5 storm. The staff went above and beyond to keep everyone safe and comfortable — bringing snacks, water, and meals to our rooms, keeping power on with generators, and staying in touch through WhatsApp. Even when flights were canceled, they extended our stay at a reduced rate and continued to serve with smiles, kindness, and compassion — even while some couldn’t reach their own families. They also helped non-guests who needed shelter, showing true humanity. Travellers Beach Resort made us feel like family during one of the toughest times, and for that, they’ve earned our loyalty forever. We can’t wait to return! Thank you, Travellers Beach Resort — you are the heart of Negril!

I love staying here. It's close to town, beautiful beach, lots of walkable bars and restaurants, and just an all around great place to stay.

Great food, friendly staff, and a calm atmosphere. The staff was more then accommodating and the beach was secure and clean. The Hotel is 10 minutes walk to the small town of negril which accommodates banking, fast food, and shopping. My room was clean, secluded but identifiable after a long day of sea and sand.

Closest of the major hotels to the roundabout, Popeyes, etc. Only 1 km to town. Taxis galore. Very walkable to town. Friendly attentive staff. Restaurant overlooking Beach. Good food. 1Fusion next door is good too. Good music in the evenings. Steel drum band. Saxophone. Etc. On Saturday night the music was really loud, but as soon as I complained, it was quiet soon afterwards. This was around 11:00 pm. I think it was scheduled to end anyway. Not super late. Other than that real quiet at night. I wish they had a microwave but it wasn't a show-stopper. I'd still stay here again.

Need more of a selection and servers could have been better…. Nicer and trained. I had to ask for hot water for the tea bag they brought me. Multiple times. I finally went and got the craft myself. Beach is where this is a big miss for me. Barely one row of loungers was the size of the beach. Water was nice. I also prefer to be closer to more restaurants and action. So this is just a preference for me. But overall the resort was nice.

The location was perfect and very safe. Lots of outside restaurant in the area. Downtown area is walking distance about a 20 min walk. Ricks Cafe is close by 10 mm in drive. Jamwest is 30 min drive ..overall I was happy

This was an excellent place to spend a long weekend. I came here solo for my birthday to get away from the cold in NYC. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room had everything I needed. The food and drink options were great. It's in an excellent location on the beach (though I didn't love the beach because there is so much hassle). Can walk to a convenience store, coffee shop/breakfast easily. I used their taxi driver Trevor for a trip to the Blue Hole Mineral Spring, and he was safe and friendly. Overall highly recommend this place.

We loved our stay at Travellers Beach Resort. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. We loved spending time on the patio outside our room and time on the beach. The restaurant had delicious food with an ocean view. LOVE the grilled snapper, coconut shrimp, and the Jamaican breakfast. The atmosphere was serene and laid back even though Travellers was one of the more popular resorts around. Shout out to Romeo who is the bender ever. Thanks to all the other staff who helped make the visit fun and relaxing. No complaints. Can't wait to come back... hopefully soon.

I love their restaurant which is located by the ocean. The food was very delicious! The staff are all amazing! They are courteous, helpful, attentive and super welcoming!

Not our first time here. Love this place. Convenient, good bar and the food is quite nice. Evening entertainment is good. Added plus: What's not to love about the 7-mile beach in Negril? Gobs of places nearby and things to do. Room was clean and comfortable. We're home again!

I love how serene the Travellers Beach Resort is, once in my room I heard nothing. The hotel is located in a beautiful lush garden. I love that the hotel is in the beach and it only takes two minutes to walk from my room to the beach. I love having my meals in the restaurant overlooking the beach. I enjoyed the Jazz player…he was extraordinarily talented. I love how polite and friendly the workers are.

Great modern (recently renovated) boutique hotel in Negril. I'd rate it a 3.5/5. Only issue for the area was the it seemed like somewhere along the beach at around noon daily, a large amount of polluted water was released into the ocean which rendered the beach and ocean very unsafe. I'm unsure where this polluted water was coming from but this needs to be rectified! Great restaurant, amenities, and room and we overall enjoyed our stay.

I’ve stayed here twice and both stays have been such a lovely experience. All of the staff is so kind, helpful, and fun. They are extremely clean and housekeeping exceeded my expectations every day! The beach restaurant has very good food, too!!

Hotel is very good value for what you get. The restaurant deck overlooking the ocean and 7 Mile Beach has amazing views and sunset views. The food is very good, but the service is very slow!
